Xenical is made for people with extreme obesity problems. It was developed for people with a body index of 30 or above, which doesn’t apply to most of us.

Doctors, Appointments, and Pharmacies

A drawback of Xenical is that it is prescription only. This is not good for two reasons. First of all, you probably have to get a doctors signature for a reason. With prescription diet pills there usually are health risks.

The other problem with Xenical requiring a prescription is the annoyance of going to the doctor. Nothing irks me more than showing up to my doctor’s appointment on time but still having to wait for forty-five minutes and when it finally becomes my turn the doctor looks at me for two minutes, hands me a prescription, and boom, I owe him 200 dollars. I don’t even want to get into the wait at the pharmacy, which is usually a good twenty-five minutes.

Ingredients

The main ingredient in Xenical is Orlistat. Orlistat is a purported fat blocker and fat burner. There are several studies cited that back this up. We aren’t completely sold on these however, because they are not published in any credible scientific journal.

Xenical has also been shown to absorb vitamins, so if you take Xenical be sure and take vitamin supplements as well.

Side Effects-Gas, Oily Discharges, and Bowel Movements

Like most prescription drugs, there are side effects. The most common side effects are the uncontrollable oily discharges. I don’t know about you but I can’t think of anything worse than being in a social situation and getting stuck with an unwanted oily discharge.

The side effects don’t end there. There are irregular and sometimes uncontrollable bowel movements as well as gas, and having a lot of it.

Costs

100 capsules of Xenical (about a month’s worth) costs about $300. At about 6 times the average for a fat burner, it is definitely expensive to say the least.

Save your money and get a fat burner that will actually work without the high price tag and the embarrassing side effects.

I’ve been taking Xenical for one month now and the only thing I’ve seen is the oily discharge and uncontrollable gas not to mention gas pains in my side.
First I thought that was good if the oil is running out so is the fat. My diet is not overly fatty so I figured these pills would work on the fat already stored in my body. WRONG they work on stopping the fat coming in. Would NOT recommend this product at a price od $183.00 per month in Canada. I got better results from cheaper fat blockers.

sorry cant agree with you all.i have underactive thyroid and have struggled for 4 years to lose weight .I went to my doctore five months ago and was subscribed xenical….i have lost 20lbs.I know it has been a slow process but after every diet going and no weight loss to me its such a positive!If you follow a low fat diet then you wont get those side effects ..there is no such thing as a miracle diet pill but to me they come close to being one!!!!

hi, if you use xenical properly they work and you do not experience any off the side affects. If you ring the no on the boxs, if you get them off your gp they will mapp your progress and send you booklets with recipes in and they also explain how much fat you should be eating, in the recipe book they show you how much fat is in the meal so it gives you some idea. It is no good just buying them from anywhere as you need to know how to use them

Well, 2 years ago I started on xenical and in 4 months I had lost 2 stone!! BRILLIANT!! However…I will most definitely back the claims about gas, unpredictable and VERY messy bowell movements! The ‘fallout’ is without doubt DISGUSTING especially if you dont get to the bathroom in time! And it stinks!! Nothing ladylike about this pill AT ALL. I didnt work when I was taking these pills. I was a stay at home mum so it was ok to run the risk of accidents which did happen regularly. If you work, these will NOT be for you because you simply cant predict when or where youre gonna be caught short…and this WILL happen!! So…if you can handle all of that then I say go for it. It worked for me with no other side effects.

I have only been on Xenical 120mg for 2 weeks, at first I was worried about the said problems, I also take acid burn medication BUT I have no problem with this medication at all . Also i left out my acid medication as i was worried about taking it at the same time of day, then going to work i forgot to take the acid medication and guess wot i have not needed it SO PRAISE ONLY FOR XENICAL SO FARR. i have been on xenical for eight weeks and have lost 2stone i also have low tyroid which ihave found hard to losewieght so xenical has been lifeline to me and yes ihave had side effects but with support of my gp have manage to over come this so.

i am just starting xenical, how do you think it is best to take it then? Before or after meals. Done two days so far and gt a slight sick feeling but nothing else so far..

Xenical the most fabulous product been on it twice over 5 years it 100% works. I lost many kilos both times, only soil if u eat something fatty. Trust me it really does work and is worth the money even tho it is very expensive yes. Last time WENT FM SIZE 14 TO SIZE 6 IN MATTER OF MONTHS.

lol……this didnt work at all 4 me….ur scared 2 even pass wind because you follow through! i was eating a good diet too. This has worked for my mom she was on them for about 5 months and lost 1st 7lbs and has now come off them and has managed to keep the weight off!! i would NEVER try these again, very embarassing when your out in public and need to go to the loo, the colour of your stools stain the loo….lol…sorry to sound crude but really is bad,and you can see fat floating about the toilet even when you have a wee!! really hard to contol your bowel movement!

I’ve been taking Xenical for 2 days! Yes I have regular B.M.’s but no gas like I did with Miralax which is used for chronic constipation. I also have low thyroid (hypothyroid) so I am looking forward to weight loss—Teri

I have been using xenical for over a year now and love it. My weight has dropped from 24.5 stone to 20, slow and steady but its the first time i have lost weight and not put it all back on again and more. My bowel habits have changed, but thankfully, for the better. To be honest, if i was more active, i would loose weight quicker. Can take it just before, with,or just after meal, it doesnt seem to make a difference.

i totally disagree with what most people have said about xenical! if u dont eat fat u dont get so much comin out ive been on them 4wks n av lost 16lbs! by eatin a healthy diet! yes my stools are different but thats about the only change i have had! apart from great weight loss!

I’ve been on Xenical for a couple of years on and off and it does have good results! I’ve got to come off it my GP tells me but I’ve stored up 3 boxes so I’ll be able to take one a day until I can go back on it—Going for Lipo examination in 2 days so may not need it—the wind is good fun if you let one go queitly after someone has ‘parped’ loudly in our local social club then they get all the blame—have to watch no follow through though.

Hi, I think a lot of you are really just not eating right whilst taking Xenical – you are NOT SUPPOSED to be having pizzas and heavy cheeses or saturated fat – you can have Salmon which has good fat and you just have to realise by erring that you will suffer the consequences for eating STUPIDLY…….I follow a really healthy mediterrean diet as I live in Spain and so I have couscus which I make myself and add a little olive oil which is healthy..I have lost a quite a few kilos and better than that I am now wearing size 46 trousers instead of horrible size 20 ones -I am 1.67 in height and a shop assistant asked me if I was a size 44 and I said , “erm, no – actually a 46 but I’m getting there!!” I was SOOOOOOOOOO pleased because I just hated going into shops and some thoughtless assistant saying, “We don’t have anything in your size sorry” – it was soooooo disheartening but now I’m more active and use my static bike and even do some hill-climbing occasionally…..everyone remarks on how I look younger etc… and now I feel happier, ok sometimes there is a rush to the loo but I wear slimline panty liners and only once did i have some oily spotting, ok admittedly when I go to the loo there is quite an explosion but now I’m used to it and I know that it’s therefore working as I drink semi-skimmed milk and eat low-fat cheeses but they do contain some fat!!! Just don’t take them if you’re going out on special occasion – I can’t eat as much as before – my appetite has altered and I eat smaller portions of food.
I think Xenical gave me a new lease of life and I feel healthier and younger…….(I am 50 something!!!).
So POO to all you losers who are poo-pooing xenical so easily – you deserve to soil yourselves if you don’t know how to eat more sensibly……….
All the best to those are perceveering and don’t let the cynical ones or unfortunate ones get you down – I just spray OUST in the loo or put on the air-conditioner, most loos have them fortunately…
I’m not trying to get thin just to feel good in a smaller size of clothes and THANK YOU XENICAL MAKERS , YOU SURE DID A GOOD JOB WHEN YOU THOUGHT THIS ONE UP!!!

Am thinking of going on Xenical.
I go to my doctors all the time and they say “what do you want me to do about it?”
I tried dieting and exercising, plus am fitter than some skinny people!
But the weight comes off slow. so now I am looking at the net reading up on good pills….
reading both good and bad comments….
I am going to look in it somemore… feeling,looking good is a killer… you need to work hard at it! but like people like me we need help to help ourselves.

The xenical works great. The big setback is the quick need to go to the restroom.

I have been using xenical for almost 2 weeks now and I must say .. it does what it says it does! I was very constipated before xenical and lets just say that is ALL gone now .. and I’m very pleased with this!! I have lost 8 pounds and I feel great!

hi everyone, have been taking xenical for the past twelve months, (had a ahort break from them inbetween).I found them to be alright. No nasty discharge. in the begining one or two nasty smelling gas releases, apart from that ok. All i can suggest is you take a serious look at what you are eating,cause it only tries to get rid of the excessive fats you eat, you do have to try and eat sensible. It is obvious that if you eat lots of pizza, fatty foods and chocolate, these tablets will give you nasty side effects, there are trying to help you and your body get rid of excessive fats and unneed things in your system. JUST TRY AND STICK WITH IT SENSIBLY AND YOU WILL FIND YOU WILL BE ALRIGHT. hope you all lose the weight with no side effects.

Have been on xenicol for 3 days as I have had a baby, got osteoarthritis and M.E. thus put on over4 stone in 2 years. Gone from size 10 to 18! – Am having about 20-25gramsof fat a day and have only had 2 bowel movements and abit of smelly wind! I can live with that if I can go from being what a doctor perceives as ‘obese’ to a healthy size!!

i have been taking xenical for few years now, everytime i loose some weight i just start it again, and believe me it really works specially if u do some exercise with it,it remooves a part of your intake fat, and when i read the reviews about people having problems with bowel moovement i get surprised because it is all related to what you eat it seems that theeses people were eating too much fat and of course they will have problems coz the pill is doing it s job wich is remooving the fat! as for the spasm you may have some and some gases too but nothing too much, they are all worth the fat that is getting out of ur body. This pills works definitelly try it and don’t get shocked when u see the fat coming out, and don t put it on the pill, remember this is what u ate last night so try to eat healthier. Eve

I’ve been taking xenical for 7 months and i lost over 40 kilos, no complaints, just had to go to the loo everyday at exactly the right time, but no gas oil at all. but the secret is to exercice two hours after u take it, and u should take the pill in the middle of ur meal , so that it could be 100% effective, if u do that, there won’t be no sideeffects.

hi i have tried xenial loads of times it really dosent work for me like you all said it just gives u bad wind and really smelly at that and going to the rest room a lot i am 5,2 and weight 15 stone i have only put this weight on in the last 2years becos my marriage broke down u think i wud of lost the weight with bein depressed but it seems 2 work the other way for me i have just joined a gym and tryin 2 eat healthy but thats hard wen ur so used to eatin wat u like never mind we will all get thier in the end good luck 2 u all x

xenical does work but yes can be messy, only downfall in the uk is Doctors put you on it, you lose weight but not the target they give you, but although it works and you are losing weight but not as quick as they want you to, they take you off it. Then you get fat again without the help.

Does anyone know if Xenical will help you to loose weight if you have already downsised to 60 kg (9.5 stones)however your ideal weight is 50kg.

After stopping smoking 2 1/2 years ago, my weight has increased slowly by 4 stone, i’ve tried every diet going and only lost 1-2lb in a month, Xenical was my last hope, i started doing a wheatfree regime at the same time and have lost 1st in one calendar month and i’m over the moon, so i recommend Xenical, i have not suffered any of the nasty sided effect’s i’ve read about and am hoping that i can get rid of the other 3st without any problems too.

Isn’t that what Xenical is used for, to block the fat?

In other words if you are not eating fat then you DON’T take Xenical.

Plus, one does not need a prescription for Xenical in Pennsylvania. It is over the counter.

P.S. Oh and the side effects are to say the least stinky ! What comes out of the other end is a foul smelling like diarheaa smelling oil. You must wash your clothes several times to get the stinky smell out of your clothes.
