At first glance, Lean Xtreme looks very promising. It’s got Green Tea, Coleus Forskohlii and a “patent pending” ingredient called 7-OH. It’s marketed toward bodybuilders and tries to come off as “hardcore.”

Green Tea and Coleus Forskohlii are both proven fat burners found in many diet pills. They increase the rate of thermogenesis and lipolysis, while protecting muscle mass. I give these two ingredients two thumbs up for any dieter.

After reviewing the supplement facts, it strikes me as odd that there are only 370mg of ingredients per serving. Since the recommended amount of Green Tea alone is between 300-400mg, this is definitely NOT a hardcore or extreme supplement.

7-OH (7-alpha-hydroxy-dehydroepiandrosterone) allegedly helps control cortisol levels, an essential dynamic of weight loss. However, there is not enough research at this time to prove there is a definite correlation between 7-OH intake and improved cortisol levels.

The truth is we do not know much about the actual amount of each ingredient in Lean Extreme because it’s a proprietary blend. Proprietary blends are used to either protect a formula or rip off consumers. I won’t draw any conclusions for you, but the lack of Green Tea and other ingredients makes me a little suspicious.

This can be remedied if you want to increase the dosage, but this is not recommended. It will not only make it more expensive for you, but it also may be hazardous to your health.
