Does Jay Robb Fat Burners Work?

I went on the “Belly Fat” diet once.  It works on the premise that completely banishing sugar from your diet (and eating lots of bacon) will help you slim down and rid you of your harmful belly fat. 

It didn’t work for me (I don’t think I quite got it–and ate far too much bacon), but one product I did get acquainted with was Jay Robb’s protein shakes (because they’re low sugar.)

To cut a long (and actually fairly amusing) story short, I LOVED the shake but hated the diet.  If you want the Belly Fat Diet book contact me and I’ll send it–along with a package of bacon.  Only $19.99!  And I’ll even toss in a kid or two…

Jay Robb’s products are pretty effective.  The man himself is a self-made entrepreneur with decades of nutritional and body building experience behind him–and for a guy with some years on him, he’s quite the doll face (and his bod ain’t bad either.)

I’ve never come across ‘Fat Burners’ before though.  Here’s the claims:

• No Stimulants of any kind are used in this formula.
• Mobilizes and emulsifies  fat, so fats and cholesterol are kept moving instead of accumulating.
• Only safe, proven ingredients are used.
• Easy to swallow capsules.

Let’s see if it works as well as the shake.  I really like this bloke and would love to give Fat Burners a positive review (oops–almost typed FART Burner.  Ha! Ha! Ha!)

• Vitamins B-6 and B-12-supports metabolism and provides natural and gentle energy. Also helps with absorption of other ingredients in a formula.
• Biotin 600 mcg-quickly and efficiently processes any foods you eat including carbs and fats.  Helps raise metabolism and energy. Great for hair and nail growth and vitality.
• Chromium 150 mcg-a clinically proven sugar regulator which helps you burn fats for energy rather than storing them. Also decreases cravings for high sugar/carb snacks.  You need 200-400 mcg for an effective dose.

Wow–this is a gentle formula.  I can see this promoting health and helping the body long-term, but I don’t expect you’ll experience visible results from using ‘Fat Burners.’

There’s no potent fat burners (hence it’s ‘stimulant-free status) or appetite suppressants.  This formula may keep fats moving–but without exercise, you’re not going to burn them off.

Research

Chromium was found in one trial to decrease caloric intake of test subjects by 365 calories a day.  You’re not getting the correct dosage in Jay Robb Fat Burners.

Overall Value

At $13.62 on the official site–and even cheaper elsewhere, ‘Fat Burners’ is inexpensive to buy.  Unfortunately I don’t believe the title FAT BURNER really applies to this product. 

Lack of consumer testimonials doesn’t bode well either. 

But hey–the Jay Robb Diet is worth checking out…
