    I cannot take many of the diet pills on the market as I am on medication, but I can lose weight much more quickly when I drink Green Tea often during the day and also take Green Tea pills. Along with diet, they’re the best!

    yes, phenterthin is a scam but i used the product even after realizing that and it worked. i went from 165 to 148 in about 2 months. i was almost never hungry and its so convenient to take a dose after eating instead of an hour before… i wish i could find a product with similar affects. i dont want to have to go thru that fake company again..

    I have a very difficult time losing weight, I have tried dr. prescribed weightloss meds and they worked for a while and now they don’t work at all. I hate the way I feel and look. It seems like no matter what type of exercise regimen i stick to i end up gaining weight instead of losing. (and I dont lift weights I’m not a big weight lifting person.

    At the end of the day, the only thing that is going to work long term and keep a healthy body is exercise coupled with a diet with lots of fruit and veg and wholefoods. I have tried a few of the desperate measures and whilst you may lose a few pounds, they come back again when you resume normal eating habits. Doing it the slighter harder way with exercise and healthy eating habits is the only safe and sure way to maintain good health and find that slim you. It is worth it in the end. Slow and safe are the watch words.

    Hi iam 26 years of age i whould like to ask ive been trying to lose wight iam 80kilo i do my normal walk everday up to 1hour however after my walk i eat a lot i eat normal food vegtable.But after i eat them i have junkfood how do i aviod this sulution and my sugar levels are normal could i get advice from this to cut my junk food after food……..Many thanks

    I have enough problems of sorts. My main problem is losing weight, I am a diabetic and on NPH insulin. I weigh 215 lb.s I just hope I can get some advise,plus I have other chrontic problems. SO PLEASE ADVISE ME THANKS

    I am trying to lose weight as it is interfering with my health and I have gained 60 pounds over the last year due a lot of not exercising or walking as I was sick for 4 months.

    If you do the pills, you’ll never have a natural eating pattern to maintain the weight lost. I went from 353lbs to 179; two blood pressure @ a diabetic med; dropped a statin drug for red grapefruit; plus a few other things in 14 months by diet and exercise – walking w/dog and in-home stuff. My last physical two weeks ago was B/P 105/69,Bld sgr 87 and good/bad chls that the doc said was disgustingly perfectly. He’s 43, I’m 62.

    ddd…I would suggest not judging. I am a proud American and FAR from lazy. I run a minimum of 2 miles every day, yoga 3 times a week and belly dancing 3 times a week. I eat sensibly and take good care of myself but…….I still have fat. My body is always in survival mode. I store resources no matter what. I have been told that I could live off 700 calories a day. I’m looking at the pills because I need the extra help for vanities sake.

    The stubborn belly fat has to do with horemone imbalances. This can be do to many factors such as chronic pains, constipation, medications or sleep problems. For instance a person does the most fat burning in a twenty -four hour period of time in there deep sleep. So if your not sleeping at least seven hours of good sleep it will be difficult to lose the bellyfat.

    I tried Pearl White capsules and it really worked. In one month’s time I lost 17 lbs. But they are saying it has a side effect. You can develop kidney stone or kidney problem. I don’t want to stop because I still have not attain my target weight. Is there a way that I can have it analyze so I would know if there is component that is bad to health.

    I have an obese friend who was previously on FenPhen and had very positive results prior to it being banned; so I am curious but naturally skeptical to the effectiveness of these products.

    I always balloon back to 215 pounds or so no matter what I do.

    It’s not my diet. I eat regular, healthy meals in average sized portions for the european diet (which means about 1/3rd of the US portion); I walk nearly 3 hours daily getting from point A to B to C etc; I have regular bowel movements & thus a clear digestive track & colon; seldom do I drink alcohol; yet, I remain fat and continue to retain water in problem areas as well when I drink water like breathing air.

    Everyone claims diet & exercise are the key, but I’m not convinced. Unless you have the time and money to expend 4 to 6 or even 8 hours in the gym as they do on the biggest loser, it’s not happening.

    The only time I have ever been able to drop any weight is if I eat minimally (between 600 and 800 calories, instead of 2000) AND work out 4 to 5 hours a day intensively, 5 to 6 times a week. I tried this in high school when it was a question of saving face in a cruel immature environment. I was maxed out at 245 lbs. Even then, I only dropped 10 pounds a month and gained it all back when maintaining a moderately active lifestyle and healthy diet. Obviously this is impractical yo-yoing. Even when I cheated, I compensated by eating less of something else or working out extra.

    As I have grown, I have come to realize that I have gynecomastia, and a butt from here to Tokyo, so I’m certain there is some hormonal, estrogen-related imbalance being male or an issue related to my thyroid. It’s clearly not _just_ diet and exercise that’s going to do the trick. I gain muscle easily, but I gain fat even easier, and I see the same problems with my brothers who are professional athletes with 4 to 6 hour workout schedules AND just get bigger with fat stores that go nowhere. As for me, though I see a transformation of muscle, the fat that covers it up just doesn’t go away.

    If there is anyone else having similar issues… fire away. I’d love to hear if and how these products may or may not have worked for you.

    i been over weight most of my life… if you don’t know what your doing wrong tey writing everything you eat down it sounds really fun but it work. you have to be super honest about it though. Measure you self at the bigest part of your waist once a week and if your really want to weigh your self DON’T record the your acuall weight (that like 298lb or whatever) record the lose or gain of lbs.( like if i gained 4lbs i would write +4) after about a month go back over it.. if you were honest you will see what your doing wrong.

    I have tried several types of diet pills and diet programs. I feel as if I am starving to no end on the food programs, and most pills did not work. However, the one that worked(Diet Fuel) has been removed from the shelves due to the fact it consisted of ephedrin. What’s next. I have had slight results from Green Tea Fat Burner pills and SlimQuick for Women. It is a slow process.

    I honestly believe that pills are not the way. If you start losing weight with pills then pills are the only way for you; you can change that however, by stopping the pills.

    You need to find somekind of natural diet. Pills burn your fat but as soon as you stop taking them, thinking you are thin enough, you gain it back because you go back to your old eating habits.

    A natural diet is a pattern that you can get into to keep natural eating habits. excersize helps burn calories and toning will be satisfactory to you as well.

    Most people feel that they are fat because their stomach stickes out over their pant line. Well you can start fixing that by working your abs. Also, keep in mind that muscle adds weight as well.

    you can absolutely look thin and weigh 140 at 16. You can’t just look at weight because muscle is healthy and not bad for you. You have to look at how much of your weight really is fat and how much isn’t.

    Another thing: I just had the chance to buy and extra-large hoodie at Aeropostal four days ago… this hoodie at other stores like wal-mart, Gap, American Eagle, or Old Navy would be the equivalent of a small or medium.

    so don’t depend on the size of your clothes to depict wether you are fat or not, clothing size varies where ever you go. I can where any where between a size 3 and size 7/8 (pants) it all depends on the brand.

    I am 16, weigh 135 lbs at 5’3″, and I am not over weight. My mother just finished losing 30 lbs by eating more than 3 meals a day, and jogging for a half hour a day. How “fat” you are is basically an opinion in your mind.

    I’m male, 6ft 2″ and weight 132Kg. I’ve been trying to loose weight for some time. I’ve always been bigger than my mates even as a child (they say I have big bones). Every now and then I lose some weight and then gain it back after a while.

    My observation – Weight lose has a lot to do with FOOD and PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. When I consciously watch what I eat and walk longer distances, I notice results in as little as 4 days. The problem is I foolishly go back to eating more than I NEED and gain the weight back. It has been rightly observed that most people eat more than their body need to function properly. Check the potion of most OVER WIEGHT people (me inclusive) it tends to be twice or trice that of a slimmer friend or relative and we also eat multiple heavy portions daily. Pills are short cuts that will not work in the long run and carry the risk of dependence.

    I have just made a decision to start a new regime of healthy eating (eating to satisfy my body and not my brain – yes my body and not brain, since brain expects a splendid meal to be savoury heavy portions!) and as much as possible engage my body physically.

    First I have done away with the rubbish I nibble on after meals at night. I now drink a lot of water, and have one cream cracker biscuit (not more than 3times a day) in between meals (gradually reducing portion – without starving).

    I’ve had excellent results in the past (after doing this for a week – even though not religiously!) Now I want to see what happens if I stick to it for 3-6months.

    My starting weight is 132Kg. I’ve been on this now for 3days (yesterday resisted the strong temptation to eat ham/cheese omelette with chips). I’ll keep you posted as I progress. Wish me well!

    dont eat after 7:30 or eought if u caan help it. what your body does is just store it abecause you (might) be going to sleep soon and wont be doing much (unlesss u have a nnight job) and so its harder to loss the weight from that food

    Look,i`ve been working out most of my adult life. I`m a 41 year old mother of 2 ages 12 and 5.I`ve been married for 20 yrs. The day I got married I weigth every bit of 120lbs.Today,I weight in at 135 to 140. Most people say you look good, my problem is in my Abs.It`s getting tough to cover up that mid section, my husband loves me just as much today as the day we feel in love and he tells me that I look great and that if I didn`t exercise
    4 to 5 times a week that, yea! I might look terrible. So I recommend what I do (Cardio 20 min. 4 times a week). The worst you could do is gain a lb. a year.     My friend is a chinese medicine practioner/chiropractor. She told me alot of her patients lost weight and cleared up allergies on a diabetic diet. I looked at the YES foods and the NO foods in the book- The Sugar Control Bible and Cookbook – All I did was follow the yes/no guideline and lost 34 lbs in 3 months. Keep in mind – I wanted/had to lose the weight…which I beleive gave me the strength to follow through. What I learned is that you have to be motivated. I have had twins since then and have gained 30 lbs back. I have yet to find that drive to go back on a COMMITED eating plan, but like I said at that time when I lost the weight, “nothing tastes as good as thin feels”

    I say stick to the basics. Have a bowl of cereal with low fat milk for breakfast + a cup of tea with 2 teaspoons of sugar. Walk to work (if possible for a half hr walk)At 10.30 have a cup of tea with 2 sugars and a dash of low fat milk and some kind snack (piece of fruit or a 200g tub of low fat youghart or one normal biscuit). 12.30 Have a sandwich with no butter on two pieces of small sized bread (not upsized) lowfat ham, tomato and one slice of low fat cheese plus a diet drink of some kind. 2.30 have a cup of tea with 2 sugars and a dash of low fat milk and another small snack. Walk home from work 1/2hr at least. Eat dinner at 5.30-6.00 with 120g piece of lean meat (mustard for sauce if needed), steamed vegetables or salad (I know you know what the good vegetables and salads are and dressings like fat free or balsamic) and then have desert at 7.00 latest one paddlepop even and a cup of tea at 8.00. Do this and you will lose weight, keep to this for a long time and you will lose a lot of weight. It’s not rocket science people, it’s persistance. You do not need pills, you do not need to cut out diet cordial (drink it in between) – you do need to focus.

    Is there an answer to a woman being 43 years old, two children ages 3 and 5 (an extra 25 lbs that wont go away) and in menopause? I know that the things I’ve tried in the past to lose weight no longer work. I am searching for the BEST fat burner on the market today but one that doesnt make me feel jittery, nautious or just plain weird. What is the most effective diet pill you could recommend? I want/need to lose 20lbs and want it to be fast. I do not eat a ton of junk and very occasionally eat something sweet.. drink lots of water, and have to walk due to my job. I would think I’d be able to lose it no problem.. but so far every diet pill has done nothing.. People say menopause has nothing to do with it.. but I think it has everything to do with it. I am not obese but I am not happy with the extra weight I seem to have put on the last 4 years.

    Please recommend something that will work. The products out there carry a high price tag and I have tried many = nothing works! please let me know what will actually work.. by the way, I tried Alli and it did not work.

I wanted to try the acai and colon cleanse but was not into getting automated shipping charges.. so I went to ebay and purchased natural acai and a colon parasite detox cleanse.. took each product faithfully every day until the bottles were empty.. did I lose weight? nope. Did I shrink inches? nope… so what IS the problem? It’s gotta be menopause.. that’s the only thing I can think of.

    well its really difficult to lose weight in just one day. its not an overnite miracle. the fat will take time to burn as much as it has taken time to get deposited to your body. i am a working lady and i have complete sitting job at one place at least for 9 hours.
    i really take care of my diet to keep my weight constant. i start my day at 7am with a tsp of honey and then a glass of water. i drink water until my break fast at around 10 am with 4 slices of bread with peanut butter and jam. i take my lunch with a box of fruits at 2:30pm and then a handful of differnt nuts in the evening and at times lemon tea. i have my dinner at 9pm with a bowl of veg and chicken soup and at times an egg poch. it has helped me to keep my weight constant and waist also constant.

    our diet is like selecting the right parntner in life. u never know which diet chart will suit your body. just keep on dating different diets and one u will find the best for you and will also feel energetic. i do eat a little different on my weekends but not too heavy like cheese pizzas i keep it light and i make sure i burn it on that day as well.

    and of course little bit of exercise as well. trust me do an hour of exercise in the morning or whenever u get time with some jogging and abs exercise, dancing in the weekend, or swimming or take cycle and go for a ride on a fine morning. and before having the last meal of the day do some yoga and before sleeping do a little bit pf meditation and have a good sleep.

    never do exercise thinking that “i have to lose weight” just do it to get relaxed. fat burns more when u r relaxed and happy and gay. it becomes stubborn fat if you are doing as a burden.

    there is no hard and fast rule that u have to do the exercise in the morning its only because our metabolism rate is high at that time. its ur passion and willingness to workout whenever u r relaxed and have time without tension

    I’m 15 years old, 5″5 and 141 lbs.
    Today, I saw a before and after picture of a woman who once weighed 165 and now weighed 117. in the 117 lbs after picture, I look thinner with my 141 lbs body than she does in her 117 lbs…. What’s up with that? muscles? I don’t think I really have that much muscle..

    Anyway. I’ve decided to lose weight today. I’ve been motivated before, but now FOR SURE. I could be really slim. I could!! IT’S POSSIBLE!!!Nothing and nobody’s stopping me except myself! My main motivations are I want to look amazing in my clothes, be slimmer than my friends (except the one’s that look like sticks :P), a specific guy to think I’m hot enough (I’m setting him up with a girl thats way skinny, but I want to be hot in his eyes too)(he’s a friend,, dont actually have a crush on him).

    WHAT IM GOING TO DO: I’ve a couple of things on the internet. the more I read, the more I realize the struggle it is to lose weight. But I’ve found that diet and excercise and lifestyle is the way to get slimmer!!! I’m going to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a snack between each meal. My portion sizes will be smaller than usual. [ I found that your stomach adjusts to the amount of food you get, so after a while of eating small portioned meals, you’ll be full from them!] I’m going to cook for myself now. My parents are not helping me out at all. they both aren’t technically fat, and dont care about dieting and excercise. they still make fat filled and carb (what are carbs? i hear theyre bad. and found in potatoes haha) filled meals, and huge portions (as ukrainains usually do :P). I’m just looking up low calorie recipes on the internet, writing ingredients down, and will buy them with my parents when we go shopping.

    As for exersising, I have a flyer delivery job, but I will still go running every week for at least a half hour!!! After that, I’ll do excersises in my room to music (jogging in place [to the beat], crunches, pushups [girl pushups :) guy ones are too hard] spinning arms, jumping while doing jumping jacks, burpies, etc.) It’s pretty fun. I want to get a gym membership and do weight training too. I hear that’s REALLY GOOD for you, even if you don’t want muscle.

    I bought Wu-yi tea :) I hope it works.

    Life style: to keep on doing different excercises, eating healthy, finding out different good low-calorie recipes, etc.

    P.S. I do not want DESSERT after meals. That’s a complete extra. I know that obece people like fried things and pastries a lot, and those are unhealthy, fatty, and completely not needed. I nkow they taste good, but I WILL NOT!! However, sometimes during birthday parties or other events like that, I may cheat a little. :) who wouldn’t? I will also try eliminating sugar. I LOVE tea in the mornings, usually a huge cup that requires 3 tsp to taste good. In a year though, that adds up to about 1100 tsps of sugar!! and thats just tea, think about yogurt, and other possible treats!
    AND SOMETHING I JUST THOUGHT OF: I will avoid halloween :) and give the candy to my friends. haha. I found a quote on a Tshirt [and i bought it lol]: “Dear Lord, If you can’t make me skinny, please make my friends fat.” but God doesn’t make you fat. We do it to ourselves. Is it because we like the taste? the sensation of swallowing? I think it’s the habit of swallowing. I tried chewing something for the taste and then not actually eating it at the end. It didnt worka t all. yeah.. I’m done. VERY LONG. I tend to do that.

    I don’t eat much but I don’t exercise. I have a bad knee so I can’t really do too much at this point and other Health problems.I do try to do little things to stay active but I’m not doing enough. I don’t like diet pills,they make me feel not good so I can’t eat those. I am 48 yrs. old & weigh 220 lbs. I hate my body. all my life I’ve been at a pretty good weight 160? but now what do I do? I eat once a day generally. that don’t work either. I don’t sleep good either. PLEASE HELP

    a few good meals i highly recommended are porridge in the morning …NOT ..NOT weatabix NOT.. you will be surprised that will kill your apatite for a few hours as it slow burning energy and the afternoon jacket potato beans some fruit… muler light yogurt if u want .. eggs are really good to as all my mates in the boxing platoon more or less live of them …lol just watch your calories intake and fats… but don’t think for one second u can starve your self and loose weight cause your body as u may know adapts to all situations if your hot it will cool u down if you are cold its warm u up if u stop eating it will slow right down on its metabolism and u wont burn off anything the best way is to eat 3 square meals a day just eat good foods stay away from saturated fats at all cost .. basically saturated fats are manufactured there purposes to make food last longer on the shelves it increases shelf life and you body has no way absolutely no way of breaking it down into energy i hope u guys listen to what i say cause i know what im talking about remember though u have to achieve the right state of mind stay motivated it will be worth it in the end remember its not just you that will suffer its your kids to ….think about that ..

    Im 18 now but when i was 14 i weighed in at 13 1/2 stone, i cut out crap foods and had 2 square meals a day, had 1 microwaveble chicken burger as a snack and walked about 2 mile a day, in a year i lost 4 1/2 stone, walking really works, i hope that helps, please people DONT STARVE YOURSELF…..IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!

    Wow, these pills sound too good to be true and that leads me to beleive that they aren’t. Visisble weight loss in 72 hours? That doesn’t sound at all safe to me and the fact that these products keep being banned is definately an indication as to what they’re really doing to your body. There is no easy method to losing weight and to be honest the results wouldn’t feel so good if there were. You can’t just cut out the hard work because you can’t be botherd with it.

    wow….pills are not the answer,see i am over weight as well. First thing is you have to admit you have a bad eating problem…thin you have to stop making a reason why you cant exercise or lift weights…i have bad knees and back problems,but its cause we are fat!! i found that i stoped feeling sorry for my self and got of my butt and started exerciseing and got a weight trainer…I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks,dont let your blood sugar drop..then you wont feel hungery all the time and dont tell me you have know time i have five kids…i make the time!!!put your self back on your to do list!!! it is also important that you take protein…women need at least 125 grams a day and men need about 300g…the protein shakes are not to bad..dont give up on your self…and if ya fall of the wagon dont give up or be to hard on your self just get back on!!you only have one body and one life…use common sence when picking the foods you eat!! we find its just faster to eat the junk slow down make the time for what is important YOU!!

    i ve been trying to loose weight since i was 15, and i got the results by starving but now that i am 24 i am finding it difficult to reduce my craving for food. the only way i control my food intake is by starving, becos the minute i put something in my mouth, so shall it be for the rest of the day, so i starve and exercise. And eating 5 times a day does’nt work for me either. thank you

    I am a 66 year old female about 5’2 and weigh 157. My biggest problem is I love dessert. I hate exercise but I have to say it is really something how good I look as the weight is really all over. My heart breaks for all the messages of the younger people who are so unhappy over weight. You did not put it on over night and you cannot lose it over night. I am not a great example or anything but just do what you know will work – be patient and love yourself. Even a little exercise daily and decrease your calories. You can do it. Believe in yourself. Love and nothing but positive thoughts.

    I have a Fat Stomach like many of us do. Every two years I lose at least 40-pounds.

    You have to Diet and watch what to eat; like lots of Fruits/Vegetables, slow down on Carbs; and Drink Lots of Water. Also…

    You must do some form of exercise… you don’t have to lift weights… You Walk Briskly… and Listen to music if you like.

    I go to the park for the first week (7-days), I walk slowly for one-Mile… Second WK. walk 2-times around which is two miles…Third Wk. and thereafter; Walk Around “Three Times” you have to start slow and then stay at a pace… I lose 30-4-Pounds each time I do this.

    I know it can be hard; but, it is safe and guaranteed to lose weight and tone every bone/muscle of your body…

    Ok, here are the different reasons that people don’t or can’t loose weight or here is how to:

    1. Not calculating the use of sugar: Earlier someone here said “put 2 tsp in this & put 2 tsp in that”. BAD idea. Most people are only focusing on the fact that sugar has very little calories per tsp & no fat, BUT not on the fact that it & other ‘BAD’ carbs convert into FAT. Try not to eat anything that is white; you can try whole grain pastas and brown rice which is good for fiber – so, do ya want to REALLY loose wait or do ya want some sweets?

    2. WOMEN need to workout differently than men (find a trainer who knows this & get your $$ worth): women have a different type of chemistry and hormonal reasons that have to be addressed especially during menopause. WOMEN also have more fat cells than men which is why a man who normally is not overweight, if he gains, it goes mostly to his stomach instead of all over. WOMEN: read a book written by a woman doctor, the title is something like “Outsmarting Your Female Fat Cells” (or something like that).

    This book addresses the correct way for WOMEN to burn fat and how long it takes to reach YOUR fat burning zone & do not base it on what others are doing when THEY work out especially since we all have different metabolisms. The dr.’s book explains that women need a min. of 45 mins on the treadmill and nothing less because the fat burning in women does not even begin to kick in until you have been doing if for 30 min.- so doing only 30 mins or less is NOT when to stop.

    3. OXYGEN BURNS FAT: which is also in this book. If you are working out too hard or too fast and are not breathing slow enough to hold a conversation without being ‘winded’, you are going too fast – which means you are not getting enough air going in (good air breathed in through your nose)and out (bad air through your mouth)often enough. MIX UP YOUR WORKOUT ROUTINE: do 15-20 min. intervals switcing off between cardio & weights. TREADMILL: try going your regular speed for about 5 mins and keep alternating at higher speed for 2 mins. REMEMBER TO BREATHE PROPERLY AT ALL TIMES.

    4. MUSCLE BURN FAT: add at least some light weights to your cardio routine if you are a woman & afraid of becoming ‘bulked-up. Try arm curls while on the treadmill for extra cal. burn. Try to give each muscle group 1 day for recovery, meaning: do not work the same major musles 2 days in a row, which off.

    5. CUT OUT THE SALT: salt makes ‘water-weight’ gain & bloats you up causing you to feel like you are not working hard enough & can lead to discouragement. Be mindful of the sodium content on the food lables. Shop for food when you can take you sweet, slow time making the right choices. Don’t add extra salt from the shaker – we are such a spoiled nation (The U.S.), we have to have everything taste perfect; we do have to sacrifice something to lose weight.

    6. STEP UP YOUR FIBER INTAKE: fiber helps to keep you “opened” which will help get rid of toxins, it can lower your cholesterol levels and help you to stay full longer. Most adults should take 25-35 grams a day.

    7. TRY MORE FISH & LESS MEATS: many fish are low in fat and high in omegas-3 fatty acid (too much info – just google). Don’t like fish? Take the supplements instead.

    8. CAREFUL with the HEALTHY FATS as well as the bad fats: healthy fats (nuts, avocados, olives, etc.) have such a high fat content but are EXCELLENT for your heart health. The problem with healthy fats is if you are not EXTREMELY active like a runner or body builder, you will have a HARD time burning off those fats, REMEMBER YES, they are good for you, but they also add up on the body as weight if you are not busting your butt to burn MANY calories each day which is why we should have only a handful of nuts a day. AND: No trans or saturated fats at all when possible.

    9. EAT MORE PROTEINS: out of everything that we eat, protein is the last thing to leave our stomachs which helps up to stay full longer and is great for our muscles especially if we are weight training.

    10. WATER: and water and water and water. You really should drink a certain amount for your particular weight and not just eight – 8 oz glasses a day. If drinking all day keeps you in the restroom in the middle of the night, just try getting most of it in by noon and finish by 6 or so.

    11. FRESH FRUITS & VEGS.: yes, I know that it cost more to buy fresh than canned. Try to find at least find the canned ones that have very little or no salt and fruit in it own juices (not sugar added). I have been very blessed to find frozen fruits (peaches, strawberries, black berries) & veggies with nothing added at a local ‘$1 Store’

    12. BREAD: 100% WHOLE GRAIN ONLY!! If it gives all kinds of details about the flour and other stuff you might not understand, it is mostly likely NOT whole grain; look for it to be right on the top of the bag.

    13. DUMP THE SWEET BREAKFAST CEREALS: try whole wheat ceareals or steel-cut oats. CAREFUL with the dried fruits (lots of concentrated sugar) Honey is a much better sweetener than sugar. Food from the breads & cereal group should have at least 3 gms of fiber per serving.

    14. AVOID: high-fructose corn syrups (like in sodas), processed meats (bologna, salami, hot dogs, etc.), sweetened/flavored coffee creamers & anything that says ‘partially hydrogenated’ whatever.

    15. Last but not least: check out the insides of your eye lids to GET SOME ‘SHUT EYE’ ;).

    Bottom line is nothing is quick. You can’t give up. I used to be 30% body fat at 215lbs with a gut that i could not hide laying down with extra large clothes on. I think my breasts were bigger then any females that would ever give me the time of day. I tried many quick result diet pills….. some worked for a short time and some never worked at all. What i ended up doing that worked really well was changing my diet and a well balanced weight and cardio training regimen. Fat loss and muscle building begins in the kitchen. I switched from 3 meals a day to 6-8 meals a day of smaller portions and better foods. I cut down seriously on butter, eliminated cheese all together, switched from regular pasta to whole wheat or 7-grain pasta. No more soda or iced tea(except green tea) and drastically increased my water intake. More natural fruits and fruit juices. More vegetables. White rice and bread turned to brown rice and whole wheat bread. Increase of chicken and turkey breasts. Turkey bacon instead of regular. ETC… My workout consisted of 1 hour of cardio per day (5 days per week) And about 1 – 1 1/2 hrs of weight training per workout. Fro those that are not interested in weight lifting and building muscle you have to realize, for every pound of muscle you burn 50-60 more calories per hour, you dont have to lift real heavy weights or bulk up, put do some type of weight lifting, also the whole time you work out you are burning more fat.
    Today about a year later i reduced to 174lbs but i am only 16% body fat and hoping to get down to about 10% by summers end.
    Its tough to do and maintain, its a huge change in many peoples lives, but the results are worth the dedication. Remember nothing happens fast, stcik with it and reap the benefits.

    I was military 17 years and went through a motorcycle accident recovery. So I went from gyn work outs twice a day to eating and sitting all day. My body was in SHOCK! It is impossible for me to condider weightloss pills! I take 12 pills DAILY due to my accident!!! The accident left me with TBI (tramatic brain injury) and I could remember ONLY my 3 boys (their names ONLY), my parents, my sister, my best friend and her family, and my immediate aunts and uncles. I haven’t been able to return to the gyn due to my walking disability. I increased from 124 lbs to 207 lbs. YES I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!!! Could someone please tell me how???     The problem with us who exercise a lot and then stop for any reason is that our bodies take time to reset and recuperate. I am just like a few above, I was heavy in sports, in high school I swam 4hrs a day and at the time I was thin. When I brought my swimming down to 1 hr a day I gained twenty pounds. My family put me on diets that I chose to go along with, one was a liquid diet lost the wait but gained back my original wait plus some in college. Went on a 500 calorie diet lost all the weight but when I went on a maintenance plan started regaining instead of stabilizing. had a kid and went on the nutritionist diet and stopped at 145 (I am 5’5″) had another kid went on the pill and climbed to 175 (this time it was the food I craved I could not blame anything else the pill made me crave sugar) got off the pill had a third kid and stabilized at 175lbs I was perfectly happy at that weight I exercised every day I ran with the kids and ate healthy food and for the first time I didn’t diet or gain weight. Then I went in for a checkup and was put on a low calorie diet against my better judgment I followed doctors orders. I joined a kick boxing class+karate with the kids and went on a low calorie diet, within two years ( I am not sure if it was the timing or what) I never lost weight I gained twenty pounds yet didn’t grow in clothes size so it had to be muscle and when I got a fat vs muscle check I only had to loose a little weight to have a lean body except I was anemic I couldn’t breath and I was now 206 lbs. So now I exercise, eat healthy (but not on a diet) and hope I don’t gain weight. I quit kick boxing I don’t look as big, I still have a lot of muscle that never burned the fat on the surface and I refuse to go on a diet under 1400 calories it is not enough to make my brain work if I eat 1200 or less, when I work with autistic kids I need to be very focused and lack of food effects the way I work.
    Solution? I quit sugar and wheat at least I stooped gaining, I still exercise I take iron and make sure I keep my weight stable. I am to afraid to diet I don’t want to get even heavier. (current age 45 weight 200lbs,most people think I am lighter)

    I went from 320 lbs to 230 lbs in 16 months by following the Atkins diet, it has now been 8 years and because I cheat now and then when nobody is looking I have gained only 6 lbs. Which I can drop in 2 months by following the diet again. When I do cheat it is a reward to my ego.

    I went from 300 pounds to 200 pounds in less than six months. I cut out everything white and starchy. No more bread, I do eat wraps and read the label ladies… I take the low calorie ones. No more pasta, no white rice, no potatoes. I eat LOTS of salads and lots of fruit and the secret to the success is I cheat on Friday and Saturday nights. Back to my eating habits the other five days. I drink when I’m thirsty. I know they say drink drink drink but I have water retention and that doesn’t help. Every breakfast is special K and skim milk. Try it and most important of all THINK POSITIVE… visualize yourself losing the weight and visualize yourself getting smaller!

    when you want to eat because of bordem find something to do go for a walk clean around the house and most important burn more calories than what you eat in a day .trust me it will come off give your self a month and you will turn heads because i did the same thing i will never go back to being the person i once was.this is free advise dont get scamed by any of those weight loss pills that dont work.all it really takes is a little effort.try drinking coffee it makes u not eat as much

    i have had total thydoidectomy aug 08, ive not been a skinny 1 but had never added 20 kilos in 9mths in my life . i have come tpo realise that i need some kinda help to get ri of weight, i have lost it before with pins in my ears to stop overeating but as soon as i stop the weight goes back on as the diet and control disappears. i will give tablets a go but know i will be getting headaches etc. but somethings gota be done. will post comment afteer 6months

    Here is the plan:
    1.-Sleep as long as you can, 8hrs plus is best
    2.- Get up and run slowly first for 10 mins then speed it up for the next 20 minutes until sweating profusely. No sweat no lose weight.
    2.- Big breakfast, 2eggs, whole wheat pancakes and lite syrup, coffee, and 10 pills(multivitamins and minerals, c-zinc, complex b, potassium,complex B, CQ10, etc)
    3.- Lunch noon to 1pm = large salad with a 1/2 can of tuna, green tea 2 cups.
    4.-last meal at 5pm: 1 tomato and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread, a bit of mayo ok. green tea.
    5.- from here on, no more solid food. just green tea or chamomille tea. but no solid foods.
    5.-Go to bed as early as possible and make your room real dark.Sleep like a baby and when you wake up do the same again and again with slight variations.
    Eliminate from your life anything or anybody who won’t let u sleep, this is crucial for your well being and weight loss. I got divorced and I lost tons of weight and learned to love myself, to cherish my body and to thank God for my marvelous brain and Mind.
    I went from waist 45 to 35 and look great. My goal is waist 34 :)

    i’ve been doing alot of research on the diet pills that are supposed to help youlose weight. some actually do. others are just a fast buck for the companies that sell them. My daughter needs to loose weight and the only suggestion I can give her is to move. She doesnot. I’m getting her to do a walk program and also a quit the white stuff program (she hates pasta anyway) I know that this is the only way to get rid of weight. Meditate everyday . be happy for what you have, be positive and be focused on what you want to accomplish in your life. I have lost over 100 pounds that way. when i gain back, I look at what i’m doing wrong, be it laziness, not eating right, eating when I’m mad or emotional. there is no pill or fast fix . remember it took you awhile to gain it will take awhile to loose but with dtermination and focus everyone can do this. good luck and god bless.

    I have gained 60 lbs at best in a 13 month time span. Largely due to 2 surgeries and being so ill afterwards. I decided one day to enroll my family into the local YMCA, *can get financial aid if you can not afford to pay the monthly fee* I discovered water exercise, and also they help give you a one on one consult with a personal trainer. You discuss concerns, problem areas, weight loss, nutrition etc..they come up with a great plan that works for you. In short nothing beats a good balanced diet, exercise that includes cardio as well as muscle work outs, and a positive support system. A person just has to learn to eat the old fashioned way, fresh NOT from a box or a bag, not precooked, not on the run. And learn how to SNACK healthy. Good rule of thumb, “if its white DONT eat it.” And remember your stomach is the size of your fist. Your food on your plate should reflect this. Two tablespoons of this, two tablespoons of that on a plate add up to alot of calories when you sit down and figure it out. Befor you know it 2 Tbl of meat, vegies, starch, salad can add to 1500 calories easily…..

    I am on my first bottle of fenphedra and I must say, I love this stuff! I have taken many, many OTC diet pills in my day and this one has the best appetite suppressant combined with a nice euphoric mood that makes it easier to motivate yourself to exercise and a great mood that keeps me exercising longer. Remember that there IS NO miracle diet pill — you must watch your diet and exercise, but this pill makes doing this much, much easier.     ive reduced my food intake and calories by 1000 and do regular exercice on my lateral thigh trainer(coz more heavy on my bottom half),im 27,5ft6 and weigh 11st5lbs and been doing this for almost 4 months and only lost 7lbs.     I bought some work out dvd’s from target. pilates perfect body; bikini belly, boy shorts bottom,tank top arms… they firm very quickley!! ive tried nutrisystem.. dont waist your money, you will gain the weight and even more almost immidetly once you quit the diet… and the foods kinda nasty

    Are you doing what you want in you life? Stress is one of the leading causes of overweight/obesity. If you have unresolved issues in your life -Finances, Occupation, Marriage, Family- then you are living under stress. Do an honest evaluation of your life situation and identify any possible sources of stress. Find ways of confronting the issue head on to deal with it and you’ll see how your stress levels and weight loss improve. You may also be using food as an escape for your problems and to provide you with comfort. Your emotional issues affect your mental tone and your mind has the power to trigger all sorts of chemicals in your body, including stress hormones.

    A person with purpose and goals in life rarely has weight problems. It is mostly when unresolved conflicts set in life that weight problems develop.

    Once you have ruled emotional issues as the cause of your weight problem, then you can do the following:

    1.Eliminate fast foods from your life. They are charged with sugar, salt and additives.
    2.Eat 2-4 oz of protein with every meal you eat.
    3.Eliminate/decrease high glycemic index foods (carbohydrate foods) from your diet until you gain your natural or desired body weight- glycemic index is a measure of the rate at which ingested food causes the level of glucose in the blood to rise, these foods create a trigger on excess insulin on your body which in turn packs the sugar in the form of fat in your body. These foods include things like white bread, rice, potatoes, and flour based products. You could still eat these foods if you eat in moderation and only once a week.
    4.Eat carbohydrate foods that have a low glycemic index. Most vegetables are low glycemic index, but not all.
    5.Eat good fats with every meal in moderation. Foods like avocado, or olive oil, or nuts.
    6.Eat every 3-4 hrs
    7.Eat 4 small meals a day instead of big meals.
    8.Exercise at least 3 times a week, 30 min. per session. Walking is the easiest activity and it is effective in increasing you metabolic rate – the rate at which energy is used by your body
    9.Get involved in strength training. Strengthen training will increase your muscle volume in your body. Muscle increases your metabolic rate too.

    leptovox is crap. anyone trying to lose weight, dont buy it! it said it was lifetime money back, but i returned it, and i never got my money back. 85 bucks down the drain and im still chubby!

    Really it’s a simple science that we tend to over complicate. You need to: eat less + exercise = weight loss.

    Also, if you use this formal you can figure out the percentage lost. Initial Weight (before) – Actual Weight (after target date) then divide sum by Initial Weight = percentage lost. Example: 158.6 – 140.2 = 18.4 divided by 158.6 = 11.64% total body loss.

    Never go below 1200 a day. 1500 calories and an hour or more of exercise a day will do the trick. It’s good to have at least one rest or low activity day. Yoga is a great way to get exercise on your rest day. Weight training is a must but should only be done every other day and at least 3 times a week.

    I found, being over 40, that doing interval exercise really changed my metabolism and I started dropping pounds quickly. Walk fast for 5 min, then slow for 2 or do the treadmill for 30 minutes, then weights for 20 then 20 minutes on the bike. Prevention has many walking programs that will outline interval steps.

    You HAVE to change the way you eat. Veggies, fruit, whole grains, small portions and don’t waste calories on donuts, chips, etc. You want to eat a lot of low calorie foods to burn.

    I swear this works. Only you can change yourself! Not even a pill can change you forever! You have to create new habits and behaviors to maintain and lose weight.

    The best way to really burn fat is to eat cucumbers
    or celery or onions or garlic with each meal. Also chew food till completly chew
    Also another good way do not eat no more after Dinner.
    Walk on treadmill 3 times a day 10 min at a time.

    i know what you mean Grisel, and Tammie, i have been fighting the belly fat for years, i havent always had it, when i was younger i was thinner, I was basically a vegeterian because my mother didnt believe in eating a lot of meat, and didnt like fish at all, so to say the least we didnt get it. When i was out on my own i started eating meat and anything els ethat my mother didnt give me growing up, like potato chips, and ice cream all those lovely treats. I have had a hard time with weight loss, but found out that if i could only stick to eating the right things an not eat what would cause me to have stored body fat it helped and i did loose weight, i lost 47 pounds that way, but i also got up out of bed in the morning early and went on a walking spree, i dont think i could do that now, however i do walk a mile a day with my dogs. I am not in good shape yet, but i would love to hear from you and see how your doing so e-mail me and let me know maybe together we can loose this excess.

    Hi i am 38 ,and am well over 100 pounds over weight, i had the gastro bypass done when i was 17 did well for 8 years was so proud of my self ,and had a whole new life started, dateing ,married, then had my first child since i was pregnant i started to put on the weight ,and there on , then 6 years later had my second child, and have disscusstingly put more weight on. I’m so tired of my life the way it is being this fat again that i suffer from deprestion,and anxiety. i’ve heard of Herbal magic ,and am afraid to call ?! Knowing that i am on a tight budet, and worried how much it will cost. I’m a single mom of two, and everything i have i give to my children. when ,and will i put myself first.

    My advise to those who complain over weight is regular exercises and meal control bcos most u who complain dont even no the food to avoid reduce sugar and carbonhydrate meal also d number of times u eat.
