I have been thin and I have been heavier. I got really thin living almost as an anorexic. (Very bad idea). I now exercise 5-6 times per week, walking 3miles x 5days at a 13 minute mile pace , use mini trampoline 4 x 15-25 minutes and I do general strength and cardio workouts. I am 53, 5′ 8″, weigh 110, average 1200 calories of mostly health foods with very low fat, sodium, etc. I have a stomach for the first time and saddlebags. Ugh! I want them gone. I am not going to starve myself again however.
I hope there is some substance that will aid in blocking the conversion of carbs to fat.
Unfortunately, too many websites appear to be educational when they are just a means to sell another unsuspecting victim false hope. My advice: seek out real information, eat health, exercise and most of all love yourself even when the image in the mirror is not what you want to see.

1/28/09 I’m 63 years old, female, & have had 2 back surgeries. Therefore, cardio, which I enjoyed doing in the past, is out of the question for me now. Due to depression & “Big Mac combos” when my daughter lost her leg in an auto accident last year, I put on 35 lbs. Of course, this hurts my back even more, I’m on disability, & cannot walk or stand for very long. I got Relacore as a last resort. All I want to do is lose this excess 35 # & get myself back. I never had a big belly before this! Can anyone say that Relacore has helped them?

  • Sara

I tried fenphedra and it is pretty good. I lost 10 pounds I know to some its not a lot but I am petite and have bad eating habits. 10 pounds was awesome especially because I have a hypoactive thyroid which slows down my metabolism. I hope to order another bottle and lose another 10 pounds and then I will be extremely happy.

  • Need help

I am seventeen years old and weight about 230 lbs. I am thinking about trying alli and was wondering if anyone has tried it and if so how were the results? I don’t eat alot of junk food, but I hardly ever exercise. I really want to try to lose weight because I want to be thinner, and feel better about myself, anyone have any advise? Any help would be helpful.

I understand how many of you feel but think you all need to like yourselves a little more. Be kinder to yourselves, value what you do and who you are a little more. Oh, and go back to school and learn how to express yourselves more clearly, learn good English and how to spell.

  • ana

The reason you all think there is no magic pill is because diet pills are supposed to get you started, not do all the work. You are supposed to work out, diet, and use them and they are only supposed to give you a head start. It’s for fast results so you get motivated. DUH

  • Sam

I have been using Fenterdren for a week and nothing!!! I took the 48hr diet pill and Fenterdren and haven’t lost a pound…. I’m giving it up and trying Apidexin

  • jenine

can any one please tell me if they have had a pill called dietthylpropion and what there thought about it ? X

  • ROSE

Adipex 37.5mg can’t be purchased any more on line, it seems.
Only Phentermine 37.5mg. however, it’s gone up in price($199. for 30 pills) so much, that people can’t buy it.
When, I was able to get Adipex, it truly kept me thinner. It made me want to take walks and excerise. It makes a person want to eat small portions of food and not over eat.

  • Anonymous

do not take pills to loose weight. could effect other parts of your body and do real damage. just go for nice walks and cut down on your intake of food HAHaaaaaaaaa

  • COURTNEY

Hi I am 22 yrs old and 150 lbs I know that I am not overweight but I dont think that the weight looks good or fits with my bone structure. I have always been small. I was never over 100 lbs before I had my son and hes almost 4. I know that people say that I shouldn’t be worried about my weight but I am I don’t like what I see when I look in the mirror. I have been working out since mid December I was going to the gym 5-6 days a week but now that I am back in college i can only go 3-4 days a week. Last October I weighed 166 lbs. I dont want to be skinny again I just want to lose weight in certain areas so that I can feel attractive again. My mom weighs 250 lbs an she can barely get in an out of a car. I had an eating disorder when I was 16 and I refused to eat b/c the thought of turning out like my mom was scary. I dont want to develop anorexia again I fought to hard to eat again I just want to make sure that I dont turn out to be like my mom and I know that it can be prevented if i keep doing what i am doing but who knows what can happen tommorrow… I just want to be cautious and look great. Should I try this?

I made the mistake of buying the gastric band pill – waste of time did nothing.

I have found that Lipobind is very good.

Those who are saying just exercise I agree are probably not that much overweight otherwise they would not come out with what they have said, plus why is someone trashing diet pills trawling diet piull sites

  • mendez

Average for my height but I have a little tummy fat that needs to go, and fast. I don’t want to be a tooth pick but I want to be back to the pre baby weight. Can someone help.

I TRIED the acai berry….it was a complete scam online and did nothing!! Don’t waist your money on that pill…they say it’s free and you could call to cancell..I tried calling and the number was disconnected…I cancelled my checking account and sent it back to the address!!! It’s such a scam! So I’m gonna try the apidexin and see what happens…I work out at least 3 days a week and also on weight watchers…so far I’m down 18lbs but kinda came to a stop…..so i’ll try this!!!

  • victoria

I have tried a lot of diet pills out there for 10 years…and i have found that phintermine (real deal) and ephedra (before it was taken off the market) work the best. always worked for me. Always!!!!

  • victoria

…and you know…ephedra is just a plant, and it does grow in the united states..by the lake (the one’s i’ve seen) so why not make a tea out of it ;)

i SENT FOR THESE SLIMMING PILLS EARLY JAN 2009 THE £50 GHARGE CAME OFF MY ACCOUNT RIGHT AWAY BUT STILL NO PILLS ALTHOUGH THERE WAS A SUBSTANTIAL GHARGE FOR POSTAGE.

  • Jenn-Jenn

People, has anyone ever posed the question as to why there is such a high percentage of not only slightly-overweight people, but morbidly obese? My theory? We are not ants. I don’t think God or Allah or Vishnu or Abraham or whoever built us to hardly ever be in the sun, sit during our commute to work, where (the general population) once again, sit in a chair.

Let me tell you my story. My top weight was 452 pounds, 25 years old. I had always had a weight problem since I was a toddler. At 26, I did the most drastic thing, I underwent a Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (not the bypass). I lost 33 pounds in the first week. After 3 months, I had just essentially stopped eating at all because I couldn’t believe I would mutilate my stomach because of food. Well, with the help of RX drugs, I lost over 300 pounds. Guess what, I’m 32 now, I’ve had to have 10 surgeries after a car accident. I now am back up to 325. I eat, low fat, low sugar and low carb food. According to my doctor, my body has now gone into starvation mode and everything I put in my mouth sticks.

My doctor has prescribed me Phentermine and said I should try the Alli Diet Pill. No two people are alike in body or lifestyle, so, DO YOUR RESEARCH. There is a lot of crap out there. Look where Anna Nicole Smith’s diet pill did to her…..oh, yea, it contributed to her death. Being overweight doesn’t mean your unhealthy and being thin doesn’t me you are. Just my long 5 cents.

  • Diet junkie

I went on ephedra in 2000 and lost 28 pounds, since then no diet pill has worked for me until it tryed phintermine but the doctor would only give me a 30 day supply he said 10 pounds was enough but I still would like to lose 10 more. The web sites that sell online are a rip off so be careful! They will sell you something that does not work. I just need a good appetite suppression because I have NO will power for sweets. Exercise is good but when I do it every day and walk 2 miles I gain weight and look like I have body builder legs which does not make me happy to do without food and still have my pants not fit in the leggs. Any suggestions??

  • Joseph

I will give everyone on here the straight scope…every pill that is available in the store or on the internet is a total waste of money, and they will keep coming out with new products and raving them up because they know desperate people will buy them. The newest craze is Acai Berry, found in the jungles of the Amazon…ok, I would like to know who went to the jungle and who ate the berry with the basis it was not poisonous. People get paid to promote these worthless products. I can give everyone on here a few pointers that I know work and work well. First off, if you want a pill to control your appetite, go to the doctor and tell him so. Adipex and Phentermine are probably 2 of the best diet pills by prescription. They have very minimal side effects such as dry mouth, insomnia (within the 1st week it goes away) and in men can decrease sex drive. Being on these alone you can lose weight, but this does not mean you can eat like a pig either. Drop the idea of all these carb diets out there. Carbs are your energy, however too many can crystallize to sugar, thus causing weight gain, so just watch your level of carbs. Eating breads and rice you will be fine unless you decided to eat a quart of rice for each meal. Eliminate fried foods…no matter how low in fat or calorie something is, throw it in a fryer and it is no more. Drop soda; whether you drink regular soda or diet soda, neither one is good. Diet outside of having no calories still has sodium, which makes you retain water. If you have the need to drink soda, drink Diet Rite; it has no calories, no caffeine and no sodium and they do have some good flavors. (Diet Cherry Coke or White Grape tastes the best) Lower red meat – red meat taste good and can be an excellent source of protein, however it is also an excellent source of fats and sodium, 2 things we can live without. If it is protein you want, eat fish. Fish has a high source of protein and a low count of sodium and fat. This would be in a broiled or grilled state; throwing it is the fryer and having fish and chips, probably the wrong route there. If you followed these few changes and your doctor prescribed you an appetite suppressant, you would lose weight even if you did not exercise however adding it in the mix will just make weight loss a little faster and make you more in shape. Remember, there is no overnight weight loss pill, or even a 2 day “new you” pill. Weight loss is best slow as dropping a couple lbs a week adds up over time. You may think that is not minimal, but if you want to lose and extra 10, 15, 20 lbs…That could be 6-8 weeks out. You will always lose the most the first week, roughly 5-6 lbs, so now you are 75% from your goal. If you have always had weight issues, then really is 6-8 weeks that long? You will find over time your stomach will shrink, making you feel full faster, thus consuming less food and being able to maintain your new weight. Just remember that if one company had a diet pill that worked, how would 30 other companies be able to come along and get people to buy into their BS?

  • Joseph

A couple additional comments I want to throw out there…ask yourself what you want from a pill, and pills for women are the worst. Most women will say firmer stomach, weight loss, fat loss, firm breast. From the marketing standpoint, these pills will claim to do all this; yeah get real. There are 2 words in every line of every pill description out there “fat burner”. One other thing I have tried myself and found it to be well worth the money was Everclease. It was a powder that had no flavor, so I just threw it in some diet tea and drank it. It is a detox product and is not going to make you drop 30 lbs, but you can lose a little weight and maybe a couple inches, and no you will not be in the bathroom filling up your toilet bowl. Last of all, these pills that say appetite suppressant and increased sex drive…BS!! An appetite suppressant works by blocking receptors to the brain that make you hungry, but in return it also increases blood flow to the heart, which slows blood flow to other areas of the body, so if you find a appetite suppressant that increase sex drive, you can toss that out the window because I can guarantee you it does not work.

  • Judy

Calorad.MG heard of it? ,lose weight while you sleep…it keeps me awake , no wonder I’ve taken it for two weeks and not lost anything but sleep. When will I ever learn!!!

  • Big Loser

Try Hoodia Gordonii Plus. I looked at different reviews for a while and chose it. I excercised using a bowflex and stationary bike and the appetite suppressant helped me stick to my diet. It really made me feel full after eating very little. My sister tried one of my bottles and within the first few days she noticed the difference in her eating habits especially when it came to her favorite foods. Believe me we are over indulgers when we eat stuff that we like. The good thing about it is you only need to take two pills in the morning. Anyhow with my diet and excercise I lost 70 pounds in about 4 months last year and the good thing is I only had to take the pills for that short period and by continuing with excercising and watching my calories I have kept all but 5 pounds off.

  • Krissi

To those poeple who tell us to run more or whatever….some of are overweight because we are physically disabled and can’t do physical excercise so easily! Don’t judge poeple so quickly until you’ve walked in their shoes…..please!

  • Krissi

I have been prescribed Xenical-it changed my eating habits by making me cut out fat, it worked in that sense, but then I stabilised quickly so I changed my prescription to Sibutramine 10mg, it is an appetite suppressant, worked ok to start with then I’;ve stabilised again, I am upping my ‘script to 15mg-the max-next month, see if that helps more. I am disabled and find excecise challenging, but I have got an excercise bike which I ride for 10 mins a day-in front of the telly! That’s OK. No adverse side effects either. I know I eat more than I should, but I am trying to swap my ‘munchies’ to healthier ones-i keep chopped fruit in the fridge, and when I want to pig out, I have as much fruit as I can stomach then have s taste of chocolate or something sweet, but i can’t eat much of it because I’m stuffed with fruit! Also, if I eat out, I fill up on fruit before I go out, then I eat so much less because I’ve already filled up on healthy stuff. OR-if I’m desperate for a pudding, I have a huge pate of salad, then fruit, then I feel OK about having a sweet treat afterwards, as long as it’s not too often its ok with me, also have fruit based puds, like crumble or strawberry meringues, again, not too much and fill up with salad and fruit first! Good luck, and see your practise nurse about support and/or pills, she’ll help you with real tried and tested medication that DOES work and so much cheaper than the internet pills that don’t do anything at all!

  • diet pill user on/off for years

First I like to say diet pills may be dangerous to the heart especially. I use Adipex I was prescribed Jan 09
I was 200lbs and scared of getting a heart attack now I am prescribed a diet pill that the pharmacist says makes your heart beat faster than normal. I am scared but I did loose 20lbs so far since Jan 4, 2009. I am only going to use this Adipex pill as a bridge for my weight loss. One last time for me. When I go down to 135-140lbs I will stop taking them. If I do gain back any weight then I am going to finally comit to weight loss surgery. Possible the Gastric Band not the Bypass
I hear the Bypass cuts out your stomach.
Anyway to all who are curious about diet pills just investigate before you take any pill and talk to your
doctor and Good Luck and I hope everyone is still here next year including me.

  • Sandy

To bad some people don’t proof read what they write before they submit it. Some of these things don’t even make sense, not to mention the spelling.
Yes the Phentermine really works. My niece has been on it since July of 2008 and from then until now she has lost from 220lbs. to 130lbs. She looks great and says she feels great. Of course she is eating healthy and does light exercise (nothing major yet).

So yes they do work if you eat right and at least do some cardio with it.

  • melissa

I tried Phentermine 37.5 that pill is a NIGHTMARE!!! My friend told me about so I went to the DR. she went to and started using it….the first day seemed good, but then all HELL broke loose. I could not sleep and it caused me to have anxeity attacks!! no bull shit.. I am still on my low calorie plan and plan on getting out and walking when it warms up here! My advice is to be carefull, no diet pill is worth your life. And by the way I have never experienced Anxiety issues until I tried this pill, be careful people..

  • annoyed

exercise works for some people. personally, id rather not kill myself 5 days a week on the pretense that i might lose some weight ( by the way i run 5 days a week and do yoga). alot of people are just as obsessed about their exercise than we are about our weight. who are you to tell us no? what the hell do you know about anyone here? the fact of the matter is that a diet pull is alot better than being an anorexic bulimic obsessive freak like me.

  • Michelle

    Does claritin5 work????

  • necole

i believe that some pills work nfor some ppl an the same pill may not work for someone else…. i used hydroxcut about 2yrs ago an lost 60 pds fast but they say hydroxycut isnt any good….but the onething about the pill was as soon as you stop takin it the weight comes back on…i think that you have to be very careful with some of these diet pills an make sure they are safe an if for any reason ur taking them an u start to feel strange stop taking asap…

  • chantay

This is not a god way to diet, honestly it’s called working out, try it sometimes.

  • T

Some people are freaks of nature. I am almost 30 and after three kids I only weigh 128 lbs and my youngest child is 5weeks old. There is a lot of negativity and judgement on here that is not called for. I personally do not have a weight problem but I have family members and friends who do. It would be very selfish of me to tell them, or anyone else, to shut up and just exercise! I don’t even exercise. I would tell everyone on here looking for answers to talk with your doctor to discuss options for you because we are all unique individuals and what works for some does not work for others.

  • Nicole

I’ve tried phentermine and it works.

  • Alex

I have tried all kind of pills and some of them seem to work but not for a long period of time. I have also tried low calories diet and they do work “BUT” most of the weigh that you loose is your muscle. This diets slowdown your metabolism and they are very hard to stick with it so as soon as you stop the diet and add more calories to your body you wont be able to burn them at the same rate as you burn them before you stared the diet. so watch-out. The only way to speed up your metabolism is by eating and the only way to burn more calories is by building muscle.

  • slimforce7

I have gained about 15LBS since turning 30. I am now 35. I just wanted to lose the “extra” I have gained mostly in my MID section. I tried the natural “miracle” diet pill SLIMFORCE7. If anyone has seen it they claim “quick” results. I took it for 20 days AND EXERCISED with not even a pound or inch lost. They also promised money back if unhappy. No refund yet since I returned the unused portion over a month ago. Reading all these comments have convinced me to discuss options with my OBGYN. See what he says about Apidex or phentermine maybe? I also understand that for women over 30, it’s a possible hormone imbalance causing the MID SECTION weight gain? I never had a problem with my weight before, even after having two kids. I just hope I can find something that along WITH exercise can help lose and keep off my weight.

  • Belle

I feel ok with my weight.I admit I have some excess fat and I would love to loose them but what makes me desperate is my husband who wants me to loose weight and I feel that as time pass by he is less interested in my body.So I start feeling ashamed of my body so tell me what can I do to loose weight fast?I hardly eat junk food. I take no sugar, hardly any oily food, I’m not very fond of snacks and I don’t have a lot of time for regular exercises. HELP

  • Amy

Hi,well I was woundering how could I loose weight fast I hate when I get teased by people and I stopped eating junk food. I hope this stuff works because I really do want to loose weight so can you guys HELP me.

  • Georgina

I am going to buy a treadmill and walk in the house to corrie of a nightime in the comfort and privacy of my home Good luck everyone

  • loatman101@comcast.net

what is a good diet pill.

  • Rachel

I am on Fastin and have been for a while now. I have lost over 25 pounds. I am a nurse and my Dr prescribed this for me. He did tell me at that time, do not fully rely on this . I need some help along with this like eating better and perhaps getting more active.. The pill did not make me crazy or anything of the sort. It did not make my heart pound out of my body. My Dr told me the other pill worked better but it had been removed from the market for good reasons. he did say I do not want you to lose more than 2 pounds a week. This should help you get started and I think you will see results. I do not want to be a model but I would like to be at a decent weight that did not make my back hurt. I am 5 ft 3 and weighed almost 200 pounds. I have gone thru the change and I find it very difficult to lose weight like I use too. I am somewhat active as I do have to walk to the hospital 2, 3 times a day for my work and all ovwer the hospital as well. I also ride a horse and scoop poop so I would not consider myself a total couch junkie, but I do not run nor am I going to. I don’t intend to injury myself by doing stuff like that. I will do what I can with in my means. I have been able to make better choices by being on this medication. It cut my sweet tooth out all together. It almost made me sick to think of a candy bar. I thought this was pretty good. I have always drank diet drinks and I also drink a lot of water. Being on this has helped me gain some confidence back to be able to do some of the things that I was embasseressed to do. I say talk to your Dr and have him manage your progress. If it helps you get off to the right start then go for it, but also know that you need to make a few changes as well. You cannot continue to eat everything you want and expect this to work, if you are thinking that then forget it. I am 25 pounds from where I want to be , but if I never lose another pound, but don’t gain anything back then I will be happy.

  • erika

  • John

I’ve landed at this site as a result of doing personal research into using Apidexin or Fenterdren – comments by evidently already fit people about “just eat right and excercise” prompt me to make the following simple comment: If it was that straight forward there would be no fat people….

  • Claudia

I haven’t tried any of these pills, but after reading some posts I am not going to either. The only MAGIC diet pill that ever worked for every single person who ever took it was Lida (the old formula) from over 1 yr ago. This formula no longer exists, but Lida is still about. The new formula doesn’t work at all. They claim that they have re-packaged the old formula now, and its the same, but it actually isn’t.I have also tried Go Go Slim – NO GOOD. I tried SlimForte – NO GOOD.
Just thought I would let you all know incase you came across these and were curious.

  • Finally!

Just an idea.. Our church went on a fast the beginning of the year for 21 days. It wasn’t supposed to be a diet but almost everyone on it lost between 10-20 pounds myself included! I lost 12 I am 27 and in the last 7 years have gained almost 30 pounds and have tried everything to lose it. It is now April 29th and i have kept off the 12 pounds and am doing the fast again to try and lose another 10! I also joined a gym to try to exercise more! It’s called the” Daniels Fast” all fruits, vegetables, wheat unleavened bread (wheat tortillas, and any type of wheat noodles) 100% fruit juice, v8, or water, also any type of beans. You can be very creative with the meals and never really feel hungry since you can eat all day long! You just can’t eat fried or processed foods. It’s very healthy and I felt so much better after doing it the first 3 weeks! Just go to google and type in “Daniels Fast” it’ll explain it and you can even download recipies! I understand the struggles with losing weight and this is what I found helped me so I hope it will help someone else!! Good luck!!
