Allure Patch

If you thought the use of a patch was only used to kick a nicotine addiction – think again.  The Allure patch is designed in much the same way with weight loss in mind.  The only problem is that the notion of losing weight and suppressing appetite just by wearing a patch seems a bit preposterous. Let’s see if the patch sticks…

Claims, claims, claims… Homeopathic ingredients are delivered through the skin directly to the bloodstream.  The “key ingredients” are time-released to provide you with safe, continuous, and effective weight loss.

Ingredients: Fucus Vesiculosus, Green Tea, and Guarana.

Something more preposterous than the patch?
Unfortunately, yes.  It is known as the Autoship Program, and the Allure Patch takes the idea of automatically shipped and billed products to an extreme.

The website does not offer a purchase option – only a “Free” seven day trial, and yes, there is a big fat asterisk by the word ‘free.’  Reading the fine print the scandal comes to the surface.  The “Free Trial” is really just an enrollment in the Autoship Program.  In order to jump through the hoop, your free trial must be cancelled before the seven days expires, if not – you’ll automatically be billed.  It even states that “NO refunds for the Value Direct Autoship Program on products that have already shipped.”

Unfortunately, if you’re reading this to find a second opinion on a product you’ve recently purchased, it is probably too late and your “Free Trial” has turned into an $89.95 bill in your mailbox. Peel the patch and find a product that will work for you and your wallet.

THERE ARE A TON OF CONSUMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PRODUCT. WATCH OUT!!!

Pros

  • Relatively safe

Cons

  • Autoship Only
  • No scientific evidence that it works
  • May be a scam

Conclusion

I do not recommend the Allure Patch.

If you are looking for even better results from a product that won’t loop you into an endless Autoship Program, keep reading to find out what those products are…

#2 Phenphedrine

  • Gives users an "Herbal" feeling: "Natural High"
  • Helps Appetite Suppression
  • Stimulates overall feeling of well being.
Overall Rating:
Fat Loss Power:
Appetite Suppression:
Long Term Results:
Customer Reviews:
Safety:
Cost/Pound Lost: $3.93
Side Effects: None
Guarantee: Lifetime Guarantee
Servings: 60 Servings (60 caps)
Retail Price: From $49.98 to $69.95

MSRP: $97.00

Phenphedrine will without a doubt provide users the QUICKEST weight loss results. It's the only product we reviewed that surpassed the weight loss results of the now banned Fen-Phen in Weight Loss Speed and scored a 100% in this category. There have been reports that Phenphedrine's "Controversial" formula contains trace amounts of the prescription drugs Phentermine (a centrally acting stimulant chemically related to amphetamines which halts the hunger sensation in the brain commonly sold under the names Fastin and Adipex) and Prescribed Pain Relievers. Our thorough research into Phenphedrine has not produced any evidence of these ingredients and we believe these rumors to be false.

Phenphedrine does however give users a feeling of a "Happy" sensation which helps suppress ones appetite and overall feeling of well-being. This euphoric feeling is most likely caused by a herbal combination of intense stimulants that stimulate what is known in the scientific community as C-A-R-T and Humulus Lupus (one of only two plants in the family Cannabinaceaea... the other being Marijuana) which inhibits NPY. Concerns that Phenphedrine may be soon taken off the market like Fen-Phen may make finding bottles in the U.S., Canada, and United Kingdom difficult. Phenphedrine is definitely the diet pill of choice for those seeking extraordinary RAPID results. Its results Super Exceed its price tag.

Didn’t work for me. Patches suck.

Michael Sutton July 15, 2008 at 5:41 pm

These patches aren’t the best thing I have tried. I am really frustrated with the customer service as well.

Jace B. July 22, 2008 at 8:06 pm

Patches do suck!

Avery July 30, 2008 at 6:52 pm

Unsubstantial results. I would spend your money some place else.

did NOT work! the patch left sticky spots and an ichy rash on sensitive areas! worse than that was the auto-ship scam! i had to call visa and have them change my account number…seriously, NOT WORTH THE HASSEL.

I sent of for the Pink Patch which is a similar thing, free trial for 7 days. However I did cancel before 7 days were up so no big surprises on the credit card.
The patch itself was unobtrusive but did not alter my cravings or eating habits in any way. There was no appetite supression at all.
At the end of the trial I had lost a big fat zero.
My opinion dont bother

I tried this as well last year! OMG does not work. Then they started charging my card for 36.99…I had to call and fight with the lady to refund money and stop charging me!! I don’t think I even got my refund, but call it a lost, as long as they stopped billing me…silly me..what was I thinking?! a patch?!
