This is the second presciption weight loss pill I have tried and I didn’t like it. I always felt weak and sick and even though I lost six pounds in a month, it just wasn’t worht it.

I also felt down while taking this pill. I lost a little weight though, so that is a good thing.

My husband went from 280 pounds to 210 in 3 months. Although he lost ALOT of weight, they made him EXTREMELY depressed and very weak too. So much so that we were worried about him and almost took him to a doctor for the depression. He got really weak and tired and didnt want to ever get up or do anything, completely out of character for him. He had to quit taking them becasue of this. He kept the weight off for a while without any dietary changes, but it came back in about a year. Definitely not worth the risks. He had taken many different diet before and never experienced the depression. Once he was off of them, about 2 weeks later he was normal again.

i tried adipex for three months under my doctors care and was AMAZED! and very happy with MY results. I lost a total of 33lbs., it cleaned out my system, regulated my bowles,( no not like Alli but in a normal body functioning way) and I never felt hungry or jittery. It worked for me with moderate exercise, and i do mean moderate, alot of the time i was not able to work out, i’d just go to work, which became my exercise.

In 2000 I ws over 200 pounds, I went on Adipex, started in Autgust, by january I had lost 65 pounds. going from a size 22 to a size 10. By April 2001 I was down to a size6-8. Loosing nearly 75 pounds! I kept it off for 6 years..but I got hurt on the job, then we made a move, I got stressed, wasnt able to get my diet pills anymore…I gained about 60 of them back…my own fault…the 5 years I was on my own, no pills no food, and had plenty of excersize…my house was never so clean!!! the only side effect I had with them was dry mouth.

Adipex was really strong. I felt pretty crazy using Adipex. I lost a lot of weight though.

Adipex worked well for me. After many other programs, and losing a little or nothing, my doctor prescribed adipex. I lost 35 lbs in 3 months, with no side effects at all. The only down side of it is thye longer you take it the less effective it is. Definitely designed to help develop better eating habits. Since I stopped taking them , I am still losing, eating better and exercising.

I lost 35 lbs with adipex. I loved the way i felt all day. I knew how eating too few calories could slow weight loss so i made myself eat about 900 calories. I mean made. I wasn’t hungry and had tons of energy. I didn’t have a chance to keep it off. I had my fourth child. I’m not on adipex and seven weeks after delivery I only need to lose half of what i gained during pregnancy, 35 lbs. 17 lbs to go and my low cal. intake isn’t that hard. I think the 2 months of adipex helped me create good habits. Portion sizes are hard to keep real when you eat out. So don’t. Good luck everyone else. I know i can do it again.

adipex has worked great for me. i have been using it for about 3 months. the first time i went to the doc i was 255. he prescribed it to me, and at my next monthly check up i was 245, then the next was 235, and my last one was 225. so i sucsessfuly lost 10 lbs a month. but i mean you cant just sit there and expect that it will melt itself off, you have to be active. in 6 months i have lost 55lbs, and i feel great, still have about 25 more before i am where i want to be but im headed in the right path. good luck to all of you.

My sis-inlaw and myslef have been taking this for a while. Yes energy, and controls hunger. Down sides: Dry mouth, bad mood, depressed, and expensive!
My sister in law has taken it on and off. every time you stop taking them you put the wieght back on. definetley not worth the doctors visits plus the money~~~!!!

i liked it alot it really helped me loose the weight. I lost 11 pounds almost immediately but he worst side effect for me was not being able to sleep at night. Only sleeping for 3 hours a night catches up with you eventually, and I was SO grouchy!!

At 138lbs my doctor prescribed Adipex. A co-worker of mine that was over 200 lbs and could not believe I was taking them. In the beginning I lost weight rapidly (mainly because I could not eat more than 300 calories a day). I exercised and cleaned all night because I could not sleep. I also was grouchy and had severe mood swings. I finally made myself stop taking them this year after 3 years of every other month use. I am back up to 130lbs but mainly because exercise is hard on my heart now and I cannot breathe at times.

i used adipex-p for 2 months i started at 183lbs. and i now weight in at 147…I stopped them almost 2 months ago and have kept the weight off however i would like to try them again ofr something to lose at least 25 lbs. i am only 4feet 11 inches tall and still need to lose my dr. took me off them b/c they say you can’t take them longer than 2 months straight and now i don’t have the money to go to the dr. to get them…any ideas on how to get something for at least 30.00?

well for all the people that said they stopped taking it and the weight came right back and it is a waste of money, thats because you probably did not change any of your eating habits. if you don’t do that with any diet pill you are sure to gain the weight back. it is only an aid to help you loose weight and at the same time YOU are supposed to be changing some of the thing that you eat and portion control. so with that said if you are not ready to make a life long change as far as eating healthy after taking adipex don’t waste your time or the doctor’s. i was on it for 3 months and lost 30 lbs. i stopped taking it in august and i am still loosing weight because i taught my self to eat healthier foods and have controlled my portions. the only side effect i had was COTTON MOUTH.

I had to take them in a half a pill a day because they give me headaches, however THEY WORK!! I lost 25 pounds in 3 months, and i always felt like i could clean house, cook, take on all my everyday things with so much energy. I am no longer taking them but because I ate do little when I was on them my stomach shrunk and so I still eat about the same. I do miss the energy..

I have been taking adipex for about 13 days now and i have lost 13lbs. i was really jittery at first and couldt sleep very well the first couple of nights but all that went away. i have tramendous energy and i have to make myself eat sometimes. i chew gum alot to take away the bad cotton mouth it gives me. the more you keep active the more the weight comes off.

I took adipex for about 3 months and i went from 230 to 165. people dont realize that if u take a B-12 with it u will not get tried. plus people will take them everyday. you dont do that. the first week u do. after then you take it everyother day or take one and skip two days. adipex works!!! and u also cant expect it to work if you dont stay active. you have to stay active during the day for it to work. for the pill to do its job, you have to do your job and exercise.

I dont see what eveyone likes about this pill. I would take one in the morning then after work i go to the gym.

When i would run on the treadmill after about 5min i had to stop runninn because i would feel sick and my heart felt like it was coming out of my chest.

When i went to bed i could not ever sleep. These would keep me up all night even with me taking sleeping pills

I guess I will jump in with my thoughts on Adipex. I started this drug on January 27th 2009 my first pill gave me mild jitters but nothing I couldnt handle. I work out regularly and I changed my eating habits. However I would only eat once per day anyway amd not I have to force myself to eat small portions of fruit. My problem is that the doctor also put me on a 1500 calorie diet. I cannot take in 1500 calories for the life of me. This medicine is NOT a miracle drug it is an aide in weightloss. if you dont exercise and eat right and cut out all those bad foods, you will gain the weight back. I have only lost 8 pounds but I have reduced in inches also. I am working on toning and weight training. Its easy for me because I have a full gym inside my home. I am disciplined and I now drink water with my meals and if I have a soda it is a half of a can. Even the sport drinks are loaded with sugar.

I no longer eat Pizza and I stopped eating fried foods a long time ago every now and then I might have a taste for a piece of friend chicken and I will remove all the skin and eat the meat(only 1 piece) ADIPEX will work for you but you MUST work for yourself as well. It is not going to melt away the pounds while you sit on the couch and As for the cost I wanted the brand name because I wanted to make sure I got the full benefit of the drug(my choice) and 30 pills was only 70 dollars and the generic at the drug store was 28 for 30 pills. Its not that expensive I say a 90 day supply online for 169, thats a bargain but I dont trust online sites when it comes to something as serious as this.

Also when you go to the doctor, a decent doctor will not give you thi =s medicine if you dont need it and he will tell you everything to do while taking it and if you know you have a medical issue tell your doctor and he might give you something thats not too bad on you. I would recommend this med to others and although I have not been on it a complete month yet I have lost some weight where I could not when I was eating one meal per day and exercising daily. Being healthy and fit and let not forget cute is motivation enough for you to want to get up off the couch and work at it. The pill is your friend but you got work with it and not let it try to work alone. I have a goal weight of 57 pounds to lose and I weighed 197 but you couldn’t tell by looking at me. I am going to be 140 again because I am determined to be my best. I am 43 and look early 30′s People tell me they cannot believe that I weighed 197, I couldnt beleive I weighed that either, because I am not that big but I guess its hiding somewhere in my body and I dont like it. I am only 5’3 so my BMI IS 34.4% which is considered obese. I carry most of my weight in my thighs and butt. So if anyone out there really want this medicine to work, get up in the mornings and take your pill and before you do anything in the form of eating, exercise first. Doing cardio for at least 30 minutes,(treadmill, elliptical, or bike) before eating will allow you to burn the calories from the day before while your stomach is empty. But dont stop there, do some arm work with some 10-lb dumbells use and exercise ball, and thing to get your energy level up so that your pill will work and you start feeling better.

Adipex worked for me too. I lost about 18 lbs in the first month and a half. It does leave you with dry mouth, which I didn’t mind too much anyway, because I love to drink water. This really forces you to drink a lot of liquids.

I have been taking adipex for about a month and a half. The first month I lost 8 1/2 pounds. I was very tired and had no energy. My doctor notice my blood count was low so he put me on Iron Pills, now I have notice that the adipex is not working as well as it did the first month. Could this be because of the iron pills? I have been taking adipex for 4 days and I have losted 8 lbs, I was already walking before I took it, but I need a boost, so I went to the doctor and he prescibed them to me and I was 188lbs, Now I am 180 and my goal is to lose 73 lbs. If you can walk while taking it, then I suggest doing that because will power is the only way to lose the weight. The weight does not come off with just using the pills alone and when you lose the weight you still have to eat right and exercise or you will gain it back! Well, I have been taking phentermine 37.5mg(the generic) for two months now, and I would recommend it to Anyone! I love it! I hate cleaning house and since I have been taking the pill cleaning is my new best hobbie. Even when I don’t take it I still have the urge to clean. Well I am about 35 lbs overweight, so I went to the doctor and got Adipex. I have been taking it for four days now. I do feel jittery but that isnt bothersome at all. The only thing I’m noticing is that mainly late in the evening my chest starts feeling feeling heavy, similar to someone squeezing me, I can breath its just a little uncomfortable.
