Wow! Acai really has gotten a lot of attention lately… and we sure have seen all sorts of products arising from that attention. Now there is the Acai Pure product.

This is a detoxifier and cleanser to help you lose weight. We definitely don’t have a problem with the ingredient Acai, however, we do think that it is best used when combined with other powerful ingredients to help you lose weight. It doesn’t seem like the best stand-alone product available… and definitely not at the price they are asking!

They offer a trial 14-day period for the product. This is nice; however, if you do not return the product then you are charged $40 and put on an autoship program where you are continually charged for the product until you cancel.

There is a reason for autoship… it takes your money again and again because most people forget about it or don’t take the time to cancel for several months. It is a great way to make money off you for several months in a row.

The catch of the product is the trial offer is free if you pay shipping and handling. All they want off that is your credit card number so they can charge you the full price at the end of the trial period. $40 is a very high price for acai berry. Once again, we endorse products that are a little better-rounded and contain several key ingredients for weight loss, fat burning, and energy boosting.

If you would like to detoxify and cleanse your body for better results, many of our top rated pills offer a free detox pill with a multiple purchase order.

I love Acai Pure, it changed my life. Im not sure why you bag on everyone else..i wouldn’t buy your products just because you do so.

  • Jewell Wilkinson

I tried it for 5 days. No results. I had withdarawal systoms: nervousness and depression. It took 2-3 days for it to get out on my system. I should of known, because you take 1 pill first night, 2 pills night, 3 pills the third night. Then for the rest of time you take 1 pill. It has to be taken at night. I’m not using it no more.

  • ripped off

just like other consumers, i was promised acai pure at a fee of 4.99 with no ther hidden cost. When i went to check my statement i was hit with a 44.85 fee.THIS IS A BIG SCAM!!!!!

  • AJ

Well jewell wilkinson, i actually use this product, the ACAI PURE and it did really well for me. I’ve drained 30 pounds after using ACAI PURE for 3 months now, and my skin looked more blooming. I think your dose is wrong, when this was sold to me over the phone where i was really hesitant to give out my credit card info (thinking it was a scam) but i got hooked with its benefits and the bank will actually call me if somethings wrong with my purchase, anyway the operator reminded me every now and then to take the pill twice a day only. 1 in the morning and 1 at night. The way your taking yours is actually wrong, remember that this is also a weight loss solution, so taking too much of it would really flush you out every now and then.

And to the statement above, dont be so stupid, its very clear in ACAI PURE that they’ll autoship you and bill after the 14 day free trial. I have no problem at all with ACAI PURE and i will continue using it. I LOVE IT!

  • diane

is acai-aslime the same as acai pure?

  • Anula

Accai is a ripp off. They offer you a free trial and next thing once you have given the credit card details they keep charging. They have charged US$ 89.31 for some rubbish. Please do not get caught. This is a racket. You never knnow how much money will go out of your account until you receive the credit card statement. And one you complain tot he Bank they can’t do anything as the idiots don’t give any information. Please, please do not get caught to this racket and do not revele your credit card details at all.

  • Seetal Patel

i ordered the acai 14 day trail, they were quick to take the money from my credit card but im still waiting for my product and its been 1 and 1/2 weeks, how long do they normally take to ship and who do you call to cancel the subcription baring in mind im from the UK.

  • cat

Just a warning!I also have been taken advantage of by the company that represents Acai Pure. I was promised ACAI PURE at a fee of 1.00 with no other hidden costs. INSTEAD I WAS CHARGED $41.85 AND NEVER RECEIVED THE PRODUCT.

  • Abe

These people refuse to stop charging my credit card to the tune of $79.90 each month. I’m not even receiving any product any longer. I sent the first order back but now they’re just charging my card and not delivering anything. Each time I have to call my credit card company and get the charges removed. So far it’s not been a problem but it is a nuisance. Maybe changing my credit card number will fix the problem? What a pain!

  • Erika

    Hi

Can Acai Pure be purchased anywhere else in Canada? I’m in Toronto and need to know where I can buy it. I do not have a credit card and am wondering if I can purchase it by some other method?

    Erika

  • Donna

I would like to know if “ripped off” ever received the “free” shipment promised. I found that same $44.85 on my bank statement (probably ordered the exact same day) and have YET to receive mine. “Ripped” – have you attempted to get in touch with this company? I was promised a reply to my e-mail question regarding that $44.85″ charge “within 24 to 48 hours” and THAT was over a week ago!!!

  • Debbie

This company is definitely a rip-off. They tell you they are only charging for shipping and then they charge $40 to your credit card. They should be sued. I plan to report this abuse.

  • Mary

I ordered the free trial offer and was charged 44.85. I called the company and was told I clicked on other items, which I know I did not. I did all the required things to return the produce two weeks ago, and they still have not removed the charges from my credit card. To call the company, you are put on hold for more than 1 hour before someone can help you. I believe they do this hoping you will get frustrated and hang up so they can continue sending you products and charging the daylights out of you.

  • SUCKER

I recently was duped by this free Acia trial. I saw free sample so thought why not it’ll only cost me $6.50 postage and as I live in Australia the product took 4 weeks to get to me. The day after I received it they took $147 out of my account. I have since cancelled my credit card as I could not get through to this number left on their web site. Well I just hope the dam things work cause I couldn’t afford them but now I’m stuck with them and Im a little pissed as they dont tell you in their big exciting add what thier real plan is – fraudsters. It anyone knows their email I’d love to contact them.

  • c. james

i’v tried to call, got an answer once and never got another

  • tonya

well i can say that they do take long to send you your product after they say 2-3 days which totally is a lie it took 2 weeks for mines to come but as far as how it works i’ve only been using it for a day now but ill keep you guys posted with my honest results if there is any (not that im not confident in the product because if i wasnt i would not have purchased it)

  • gerard julien

We have gotten the free trial ACAI, and when turned around, I received another shipment by airmail dated 24nov./08. Only received dec 2/08. how can they do this when we only agreed to the free trial….

Would you have their URL so we can cancel this excessive use of fraudulent advantage on thie part….

    BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

I was scammed by VitalAcai! I canceled my membership within the 15 day as requested. I realized that I can get much cheaper products at GNC. Anyway, the company took my cancelation (over the phone) and told me to keep the products. I even received an email telling me that my autoship was canceled. But of course, I just realized that my credit card was charged the inital shipping of 4.99 and also $78.91. I have been on the phone for 1/2 hour with their “24 hour customer Service”…lol. Still can not get a person on the phone to correct this. I am going to dispute the charge with my credit card company. BEWARE these are total scam company’s!!@!!!!

  • sunshine

same as the rest, ordered the free trial said I would only pay for shipping, within two days took 79.95 out of my account and refused to pay it back. Said it was in the fine print!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • emily

what website did you order from? I ordered the acai berry detox yesterday… I used the acaiberrydetox.com site to order. Is the the place you guys that have been “ripped” off from? Just wondering now if i should worry…
PS. Im still trying to figure out the difference between all the different products they have; pure, supreme, power 500, detox etc…. do any of you know?

  • wandering traveler

for additional info, when you get charged by acai pure company it will continue to charged you every month and you cannot refund or cancel it. The phone to the company will get no answer and if you want not getting charged every month – here the answer : change your credit card number.

For all reviewer that promote acai pure or extreme acai or other acai berry which are scammer, please think of all the people you trick. being over promote a product is okay, show the flaw of other product is okay, but to promote product that are scam is NOT OKAY!

  • Fran

Scam !!! I ordered trial size for $4.95 postage. I took a total of 3 capsules. was very nausated, I did not take any more. They have charged my credit card twice. $39.95 and$44.90 I have not received any more product since trial size, nor do I want it. I never gave any permission to charge my account.I hope every one will follow thru on this to get there money back. I called 888-6928352 two times. 51 minutes and 67 minutes only to be hung up on. Very rude people.I’m going to try to find out if these people actually promoted this product like Opera, Rachael Ray and different television stations.

  • carol

I ordered the “free” trial only. I received Hoodia Water and Hoodia gum. What the..heck is going on?? I was charged the 44.85 for the extra product that I didn’t order. Now this stupid company has my information and you are telling me they are “SCAM”. I hope they will return my email so I can return the product I don’t want. What else can I do?

  • mkmays

Yep, it appears to be a rip-off scam…Beware! I should have known because it sounded too good to be true. Ordered Free trial of Acaipure with $4.95 shipping from Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc and it took over 3 weeks to receive. Noticed credit card was billed for $44.85 which was confusing. Finally received package which included Acaipure and additional products with a bill for $44.85! Never ordered or wanted other products; Hoodiburst Gum and Hoodiawater. Will attempt to send back and hope to receive a credit. Doubtful this will be an easy transaction based on other comments from consumers. It sucks!

  • Suzanne

I sent in for the Acai berry and colotox, they charge my account 40 bucks, I never received the products, I tried calling the pharm company and that was a farse too. I wouldn’t use the product if they promised it to me Free!!! Plus, they said.. One free .. shipping only.. pay $1 and shipping.. Well.. Where’s the Product.. they took my money before I even logged off the site.. Never Again!!! I WARN YOU DO NO SEND FOR THESE PRODUCT, ITS A RIP OFF~

  • Theresa

I’m glad I found this site before I ordered. I was thinking of it and started to order several times then decided not to, exactly for all the reasons you guys are talking about. Guess my instincts were right.

  • Lesley F.

I ordered mine on 11/20/08 and still have not rec’d it but they charged my credit card on 11/20/08. Other companies charge your card when the product ships. I called them on 12/5/08 and was on hold for 1 hour. This is after I had e-mailed them with no response earlier in the week. When someone FINALLY took my call after an hour, I was told that they had no product and were waiting for more to come in and didn’t I get the e-mail blah blah ( which I didn’t). She then proceeded to tell me that mine was shipped out last Monday and here it is this Monday and still nothing. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge.

  • Texas

Anyone looking to use Acai should just go to your local vitamine or healthfood store and pick up the Acai vegecapsules by Sambazon which is the Leader in Acai. Their brand is 100% ground Acai, no fillers, no sales gimicks, just good stuff…I started on it 8 days ago and I’ve lost 5lbs. I take 2 tabs a day plus 2 fiber Tabs by Metamucil. Watch what I eat, may do a little working out, nothing major. I’m not a Sambazon sales rep, I’m your everyday person who’s looking to lose those last few baby pounds and I’ve also wasted money on different diet pills and gimmicks. Of course different things work for different people but if you want the top of the line Acai products, be it tablets, supplements or juices go with the Sambazon brand.

  • Ianm

Check out theit testimonial on Web Page- Michelle (photo provided)lives in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada and gives a glowing report on the product.. If they can’t even get their lies consistant- how bad must their product be????? What about the other testimonials???????????????????????

  • Debbie in Florida

I waited on the phone for 1 hour and 30 some minutes to talk to someone about being charged $44.85 and also being put on auto ship for my RISK FREE TRAIL OFFER OF AcaiPure!!!!! I have learned my lesson!!!!! This needs to be addressed to the proper authorities!!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jen

I ordered the free trial. The invoice was for $4.95 it does not say anywhere that you have to cancel I was billed $39.95 & 44.90 in one month. When you call they put you on hold for 40+ minutes. I’m filing a dispute with my bank. OH – and I NEVER got the free trial.
    WHAT A SCAM

  • Terry Decker

I ordered the AcaiBerry natural cleanse with just the shipping cost and IMMEDIATELY upon receiving this canceled. I just got 2 bottles in the mail with info about charges and cancellation. Of course the email they give is fraudulent and tomorrow I will try the phone number. What does one do if you get ripped off? Do you consult an attorney, contact the policy, cancel charge card, etc.?

  • Vicki

I also fell for this whole thing, and I feel like a fool.I don’t know why like everyone else I skipped reading the terms and conditions..but if you go to the website to order(and you read terms and conditions) these charges would not have been a surprise!

  • sasha

I just ordered acaipure on Friday and it is true, you will be charged over 40 dollars if you do not uncheck the checked boxes at the end of the screen after you put in you credit card info. I almost got charged forty-four dollars until I scrolled down. You have to read the whole page carefully.

  • Ren

I’ve using Perfect Acai along with Green Tea and Colon Cleanse. It seems to be working slowly BUT working nevertheless. I would recommend just buying it off Ebay like I do as I find myself more safe that way then going off all these free trial ads. It works so its not a ‘rip off’ or ‘scam’, but buy it somewhere you are familiar with like I do off Ebay.

  • SANDY

PLEASE PLEASE DON’T BE FULLED, THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM. I SENT FOR THE FREE TRIAL ALSO, AND WAS BILLED FOR THE $44.85 THE PRODUCT TOOK A MONTH TO ARRIVE AND I’M STILL WAITING FOR THE TOTAL CLEANSE. I MIGHT AS WELL EAT PRUNES!! YOU CAN’T SPEAK TO ANYONE AT THE NUMBER THE GAVE BECAUSE IT’S A 60 TO 70 MINUTE WAIT YEA THAT’S WHAT I SAID, SO WHAT I HAD TO DO IS CLOSE MY BANKING ACCT. AND RE-OPEN ANOTHER ONE SO THEY WON’T CONTINUE CHARGING ME, I ALSO SENT THEM AN E-MAIL TO CANCEL PRODUCT AFTER A WEEK THEY FINALLY E-MAILED ME BACK TRYING TO OFFER ME $10.00 OFF NEXT SHIPMENT, THEY SAID IF I DON’T RESPOND TO THAT E-MAIL THEY WILL KNOW TO CANCEL ACCT. • lorena

    Oprah,
I am really disappointed in you… how is it possible that you allow the use of your image to sell the acai-berry pills on the internet when it’s really a way to steal people’s money? I requested the 14 day free trial only because you were the image on the product, I usually don’t trust any of those websites that give products away for free but since it was recommended by you I thought it had to be true… the honest truth is that they already deducted $200 from my account (The most expensive pills I have ever bought in my life). I had to go to the bank to cancel my credit card because I don’t trust that company having my personal information and withdrawing money from my account without notice.
I have a hormonal problem that caused weight gain I have tried lots of different products but without any luck however, I saw a little glimmer of hope when I saw that you were part of those pills but instead I am still overweight and without any money, that really makes me feel like crap today.
To anyone who is reading this post, please DO NOT BUY those pills, they don’t work but, if you do decide to make that purchase be very aware of their terms and conditions which you’re not made aware of until you see it on your credit card or bank statement or take the time to read the fine print as followed:
    Acai Berry Boom Lifestyle Program:
Please take a few minutes to read the following, as when you purchase the Acai Berry Boom Trial, you automatically accept the following Terms and Conditions.

You will have 14 days from your original purchase date (actual use of product may be less than the time given) to decide if Acai Berry Boom is right for you. If you are enjoying Acai Berry Boom, do nothing and at the end of your 14 day trial period, you will be automatically shipped a new bottle of Acai Berry Boom each month at the discounted rate of $55.00 plus $4.95 Shipping and Handling. That’s 20% off the regular price for a 1 month supply of Acai Berry Boom. You may cancel your membership at any time by simply contacting customer service. • Lizll

Same here – trying for weeks to get thru on the phone to cancel – get the “Return Merchandise Authorization” number (ha ha). Will just have to deal with Amex I guess. I can’t believe I was SO stupid. NEVER give your cc info out. I should KNOW that! Durr. Oh well -dieter beware! Happy Holidays to all!

  • marlena

I ordered acai pure november 19, 2008, waited patiently, one week has passed 2 and 3rd week, nothing. on December 15, after 3 emails phone calls that no one answers and 1 phone call to a customer service that claimed got nothing to do with acai pure i received my order. Like everyone one else i thought i will be charged 4.95 but instead i was charged 44.85.. it is a scam…I just don’t know if we can cancell it…i don’t want them them to keep charging mg card. something needs to be done.

  • margaret england 16 december

What a rip off, sent for free trail didnt get it,then four weeks later a supply arrived which they had taken £61.11 out of my account before i even recieved them.i have now cancelled my credit card and now waiting for new one. REMEMBER you dont get anything free in this world.I wont be making that mistake again.

  • jan

totol scam. took my money and still continue to do so till i noticed, ive contacted bank, they are robbing bastards

  • DeeKay

I just got off the phone and out of a shouting match with these scammers. I asked up front if there were any further obligations or charges after the 5.95 charges for shipping and handling. I was told there was no further obligation. So…..after giving my debit card information I am told blah blah blah I would be charged 89.31 a month for further shipments, and all I had to do was call customer service and cancel…that’s when it hit the fan. She put on a supervisor who I had a shouting match with telling him about 10 times NO I do not want your product, I do not want to call customer service NO NO NO. “But Ma’am all we’re asking is two minutes of your time in two weeks to call customer service….I had to argue with these people in a loud voice that I DID NOT WANT THEIR SAMPLE PRODUCT!!! Geeesh I mean this went on forever. I have never in my life had an experience like this with any company. I has taught me not to inquire online and leave your info anywhere.

  • another sucker

I was another among the long line of suckers that was ripped off by the acaipure scam. With all of the complaints by disgrundled customers how can this product still be offered to the consumer? It doesn’t work and they are stealing our money. I too have disputed this company and their charges with my credit card company. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY ACAI PRODUCTS OFF THE WEBSITES. GUARANTEED THEY HAVE A HIDDEN AGENDA FOR YOU AND THEY ARE GOING TO RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!

  • Evelyn

I am so stupid. When will I learn not to order from these companies that promise so much for so little. I ordered the “FREE” trial of ACAIPURE. Thus far it has cost me $79.90 even though I cancelled last month. Maybe we should all get together and file a class action suit?

  • Janette

everyone that was charged more its your fault. When you buy it online at the end there are other products checked off. And it even tells you the amount your card is charged. IF you uncheck the boxes you WILLL only be charged the free trial shipping.

  • jojo

This is a scam. Just like mostcustomers, I ordered thefree 14 days trial with $4.95 shipment, from Acai Burner, it took 3 weeks to reach me, my statement reflected $44.95 withdrawn by the Acai burner. I called the CS and was on hold for 40 minutes before they rudely disconnected the call trying to convince me that I had ordered for other products. Consumer Reports need these kind of scamers.

  • DeeKay

I have gotten two phone calls (per my caller id)from these telemarketers, since telling them loudly yesterday I did not want their product. The second call this morning-there was no response when I answered.

  • STM

I recieved free trial offr which seemed to work. 2 orders and 85.00 later, I have not recieved anything. I was billed twice for one month. This is bull… If you call customer service choos option 2 and have your order # ready. you do not have to talk to someone to cancel. Option 2 will let you input your cancellation info. of course allow 48 hrs for processing.

  • kathie

I have AcaiBurn, is that same as AcaiPure??

  • Kelani

Oh Yeah, they got me too. Just had to dispute the charges out of my account. The funny thing about it is they say they are only charging you 4.99 but they don’t even charge that. They just charge you 44.95 to begin with. There was nothing in fine print that explained those “terms or policy”!!!? Thats a load of crock. But it’s crazy how many of us have been scammed. Even more crazy that after all the disputes that have been put in; this website has not been banned yet. I hope the word spreads around quick enough so not too many more consumers get scammed out of their money. Hope all those opposed to this scandal get their money back and this AcaiPure offer is demolished once and for all!!!! Happy Holidays.

  • Sharlene Murphy

Please cancel this order Number 1781642.Please don’t send no more.Don’t take no payment out of my account. I.m alergic to licorice.I can’t take this product. Please email me and let me know what you want me to do with this item. Thank you.

  • ana

Acai Pure is a Total SCAM!!! They charge my account 44.85 for something that I never received and I was just going to pay about $5.00 I called the Phone #s and they never answer. I also send e-mails and did not get a response.

  • Pamela

My husband ordered the free trial of Acai Pure over 2 weeks ago and we STILL have yet to receive it. They took the money already. My husband attempted calling them and the recording states a 45 minute wait. I looked on the website and it says people are experiencing up to 2 weeks delays in their order. I’m ticked! If this company really is this big of a scam and have taken money for all these people including us now, how the hell can they remain in business? If we don’t receive our product soon, we will take this higher!!!

  • Mikey S

I had enquired about it but i never put my credit card info in as i was not inpressed with what I saw. Anyway my wife must of received about 6 phone calls in a two day period from them as we have caller ID. It finally stopped after she actually yelled at the guy. I was at work at the time. Needless to say if they are so desperate to sell you something, was a warning flag for me as I would of ordered it.

  • A. G. Pascale

Four incoming phone calls between l2/8 and l2/12 from A. Diaz, 1-866-938-4832 promising 2-5 day delivery time, confirmation No. 1000-068 093, $25 for 25 day suply of ACAI berry diet plan. Check cleared my bank and to date (l2-21-08) still have NOT received this product. What’s going on? Locate info & advise; further, do not issue second bottle for $25 until we resolve this problem. Advise ASAP.

  • tosha

    Hello,

I ordered the AcaiPure on the 29th of Novemeber, and I received it yesterday December 20th. It states on the website the normal time of delivery is 2 weeks, but b/c of so many orders, they have a delay of 2 weeks. Meaning the product may take about 4 weeks for you to receive. On their defense, it does state this is a 14 day trail, and if you dont cancel you will be charge 44.95 every month until you cancel. I took my first pill tonight. I will keep you guys posted!!

  • bubbles

This product and this company is a SCAM!!
They charge your credit card and refuse to credit your credit card before they send you a product. When you tell them to remove the charge, they tell you that you would need to return their product first and they charge you 15% restocking fee. I was on hold for over 45 minutes twice and when I demanded a credit, they simply hang up on me.
I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. This company should be shut down!!
Don’t order your free trial product – it’s a total scam. Besided the pills don’t work! It didn’t do anything for me.

  • ray patrick

acai berry was only suppose to charge me 4.95 for shipping i checked my account and 44.95 was charged i called the company and the hold time is over an hour i finally recieved my product after waiting a MONTH havent tried it yet hope it works

  • vayla

The same here, I order acai pure December 18 2008, I was also told that I would be charged for shipping and handling of 4.95. I received my bank statement, and I was charged 44.85. I called every number I could and no one new what I was talking about. I did received a email but it was about some free personal trainer on line and that I was being charged 29.00 a month until I cancelled it. I cancelled it the same day. Now I am going to close out my bank account. I refuse to give them another 1$. I still have not recieved my product. If my product came I still would not take it because it could be anything. The company cannot be trusted.

  • Margie

Tried 2 trial offers and both are SCAMS:
    1) Advanced Wellness Research for Pure Acai Berry
    2) VitalAcai – Pure Concentrated + Cleanse Formula
Auto Ship program charging my credit card started 15 days after original order. American Express credit card has started dispute process. One company claims they will not refund for returned product, and the other says there will be a 25% restocking fee.
    CAUTION – do not order.

  • KayDub

Looks like we have all be taken! This is for sure the last time I give out my credit card info. I just spent 30 minutes with my bank trying to get them to dispute the charges. And to think I have to allow this hokie pokie company 30 days to deny my dispute. When I called I actually got a warm body. But that was after I did the opposoite of what the recording said “please call after 5″. Heck no, I called in the middle of the day and got right through. Let me tell you, the poor schmuck that got my call sure got an ear full. It is one of the oldest scams in the book, and they are taking us left and right. I agree with everyone and their comments, regarding Oprah backing this product. No wonder she is a wealthy women, is she in on the scam that makes us poor and fat? I lost more weight starving myself, instead constipation set in. I dont know what is in them, but it sure is not something that helps one lose weight. I guess we should be each others early warning system when it comes to rip offs like this one. “Buyer Beware” is an understatement.

  • KayDub

By the way….did I mention they are charging me $89.31 for only 60 pills. I’d love to know where the rest of yawl got offered such a deal!!! I must be the true sucker of the day to get taken for the higher price. I too was told no return/no refund. We will see to that!! I have my bank all over this. What these people are doing is illegal….fine print or not.

  • Cathy

I am also a victim of Acai=pure. I ordered the “free trial” and immediately was charged 44.85.
I called the company to cancel and was told that I could not cancel until I actually received the order.
I got the order and the packing slip says I got gum and water, but they were not in the package!
I emailed them to cancel and got a RMA number to return the unopened items. I will be sending this return receipt.
I also filed a complaint with the Federal trade commission. Maybe if enough of us do this, someone will take action against this scam.

  • Rita

Acaipure is a total scam. I order as a free trial which should only cost me $4.95 but I got charged $44.85 the next day. I tried to email to cancel it but no avail. So I got the phone # 1-888-692-8352 through my credit card company and was able to talk to someone after 30 minute on hold and the girl told me you can not cancel it. I tried to talk but she will not listen to me and she told me just send it back when i get it. She said it was there when you ordered that you will receive two other product which I never saw. I asked her to give me the same website so i can check but the web site she gave me never was the same. PLASE DO NOT ORDER . IT IS A TOTAL RIPP OFF.

  • BARBARA

The confirmation e-mail has a phone number on it so you can cancel at any time, but it’s the wrong number. I tried to call and cancel and could not get through! Finally I get to the right people and the girl that helped me said that they have been aware of this problem, and it has not been fixed.

Be warned this is a scam!!!

  • DeePowell

I too was ripped off by a company calling itself Extreme Acai Berry,I think they are all the same people under several names. They do not amswer the phone ,letters come back “address unknown” meanwhile they take £62 a month from my account.I felt really stupid to have fallen for this scam, but got in touch with my bank who assured me they would put a stop on my account having sent a letter to the company giving them 31 days to reply. The bank have said the company will not be able to take any more money,I really hope so,it is very worrying to think that they can get away with it.Perhaps if we all complain to our banks and stop the money going out it will help. Can’t the USA law do something? I am in the UK.

  • Ken R.

I am sure glad I read this web-site, I was going to purechase AcaiPure. I was going to tell them that I would mail them a check for the shiping charges. I know how places can take advantage of people when they get your credit card information. For ALL WHO HAVE BEEN RIPED OFF, TAKE ACTION!!!!! Call the better bussiness beruo, also get out your Yellow pages and call your local congress men/women. Tell them that YOU ARE A RESISTERED VOTER AND ASK THEM WHAT THEY CAN DO ABOUT THESE SCAM ARTIST!! I would also reconmend that you get a copy of your credit report, dispute these “Alliged Charges”. Don’t think YOU can’t make a difference because YOU CAN. Power in numbers. You want to make a difference in this wourld start with yourself!
I hope this helps those of you victimiced, and I wish you best of luck. It’s a new year and it’s time the people took back control of this country.

    God Bless.

  • Randy

Jenny Miller and Destiny Collier are married to the same man and have the same children along with the same before and after photos!
I suppose cloning is alive and well in America and Calgary AB Canada. It’s one big fat stupid scam!

    Randy

  • Bre

I have ordered the “free trial” from the Advanced Wellness Research for Pure Acai Berry. I canceled my free trail the day after I placed the order, or so I thought I canceled my order. I recently recieved an email stating they did not no why my order hadn’t shipped yet, so for their apologies they would send me an additional free bottle that I did not have to return. I called and replied to the email stating I wanted my order canceled. The lady I spoke with on the phone stated I can return the free trial and be charged nothing. The email states they canceled my order. The lady on the phone said something about a date of Jan. 20, 09. All I know is this will be my third time calling back, if I haven’t recieved anything by Jan. 10. Not only do I have emails and names of people I have spoke to, but I have their return address the lady game me when I spoke to her last week. If I am charged ANYTHING else, I don’t care what the fee, as they are supposed to be refunding me the free trial shipping charges, AND THEY WILL. I don’t care if it is just the $4.99 shipping. But, if they do try to charge anything else, no matter how large or small the amount, and refuse to refund me, I will persue this further!!!! They have chose to mess with the wrong person. Guys, if I do get charged anything at all further, I am very willing to do a class action law suit. I don’t know what companies you all ordered through, but I promise you, either way, class action, or alone, I WILL GET SOMETHING DONE ABOUT IT!!!!! I will keep you all posted and let you know the results of my banking acct.

  • CR

Pls Help! What is the number to cancel? My card was charged $4.95, then $69.95. I received the “free” sample but no paperwork inside. I know I did not order any other products. Yeah, hard to admit but I got scammed!
Do I need to close my credit card?
    thanks

  • scamed hard core

well try this one out for a change..my husbands debit card and credit cards was stollen and the debit card was used to order this free trial crap..my husbands bank was charged 29.99 from some place with a fit trainer and then a few days later had a charge for 89.31 from this acia berry stuff..i called the numbers that came with the bill and the fit trainer refuned money within 2 days and i called this other place 5 times now..they have an account under my name, but i never ordered a damb thin as the account used is my husbands not mine or ours together, i dont even have any pills or powder or anything from them, i told them that this is HIS account not mine..i also stated that all his credit cards and debit cards was stollen and they told my 1 month ago that the money will be returned to his account, well that was amonth ago and still nothing..i called the place again yesterday and told them if the money is not returned as it has been stated many times to them that this was not us who orded the crap, we will be hiring a layer to go after them..she then stated tht all refunds r turned over to corpet office and i asked to talk to them and she said that she is not alout to let me talk to them, then i asked to talk to a supervizer and she said all of them was in a meating, now i asked this question two other times and the same thing they r in meating…my husband had to cancel all bank accounts and credit card account becaouse of theft but, we had several charges and was reinbursted for all but this one here..they refuse to refund this for some stupid reason so i guess they will be recieving a call from our lawyer..i will try one more time today to talk to a supervizer and if nothing i am taking this to a lawyer…I dont have nothing to show for this money and they refuse to do anything about it…what a joke..

  • abby

Thanks i was just about to order this product but believe me i have now changed my mind i will go to my local health store instead Thanks

  • Betty

Oprah Winfrey (and Dr Oz) should come forward and discuss this complete MESS with her public. She should be embarrassed that so many people have been taken into this because she recommends it (at least her picture is plastered all over their advertisements on line).

  • Randy

Lauren McDonald now of Calgary is married to the same man as Jenny Miller, and Destiny Collier, same before and after photos, same children, same names. Boy, the husband Adam gets around. Think this might be a marketing scam???

  • Randy

I found another site from Calgary Alberta. Same story as the others. This one said Oprah had Dr. Oz on her show and that was what inspired her. I can hardly wait and see how this diet works for Oprah!

  • dncali

just go to gnc and purchase it. less than $20.

  • Janet

I got the same scam too. I guess I should have known it didn’t work anyway. Oprah recommends it and now she is back over 200 pounds. Duh!? Please don’t order it. It is a rip-off!! I was charged 4.99 and 78.00 on my card.
Luckily,I had no problem with being put on hold and they gave me a cancellation confirmation #. Just hope the charge is not back on there next month.

  • theresa- queensland australia

well, i fell for the great advertising as would a lot of people who are looking to loose a few kgs.
I recieved the sample and a following order and charge.
To cancel my “subscription” I had to sit up till all hours till a actual person answered my call. They questioned why and stated that it was cancelled. Well, I will see what happens and let you know.

Ps there is only one way to loose weight unfortunately,
eat little, often, properly and excersize.
I know realize if a drug could make us skinny there would be no fat people.

  • Sadira

If you guys really wanna try acai anything you can get it at GNC for like 15 bucks for a container with 60 capsules which is about a months supply. They also sell the drink and other things to go with it.

  • Debbie

I would never do this again.Wish I had seen this site before I had ordered.I cannot believe that Oprah would endorse such a scam.I am out 200.00 and cannot afford that.

  • Fran

Say ,there is a fine print, but they did not intend for you to see it,i relized it after i had called them to guestion them about how much they had charged me. But never the less i cancelled everything.I’ll never do that again.

  • nina

After reviewing everything before ordering the product. It does tell you that you’re going to be charged monthly if you don’t cancel the subscription. But however it states it has been advertised on shows like oprah, nbc, abc, rachel ray . When i visit the shows website, i typed acai pure it doesn’t pull up any search results on those websites. I think they are just branded that it has been featured there but really not.

  • Tiffany

I ordered acai pure 3 weeks ago. They said I would receive it by Dec.22 it is Jan 5 I still haven’t received it. All these comments are freaking me out. I guess I better check my bank statement!!!!

  • CJ SAUNDERS

WELL..I FELL FOR THE SCAM TOO…THEY TOLD ME ONLY BILLED FOR $4.95..you quest it they charged my account 44.85…which cost me $75.00 in over draft fees..now no one will answer phone..or e- mail do not order this product ..even if this stuff works(which I will never know..because I will return)I regret mydealings with this place!!!!!

  • Michael Haytack

Tried Acai-Pure (cost 4.95 shipping and 14 days later was charged 39.95 for the order). Took up to 3 capsules per day as directed and no changes occurred or results as promised were seen. A complete rip-off. Don’t waste your money.

  • cecilia

THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM,I CALLED AND CANCELLED MY FREE TRIAL WITHIN 10 MINUTES AND HE INSISTED ON ME TRYING THIS PRODUCT AT NO EXTRA COST EXCEPT THE $4.95 AND AFTER READING THE ENTIRE FINE PRINT I ALMOST WENT CRAZY,THEY HAD MY ACCT NUMBER AND ALL MY IMFORMATION. I CALLED SCREAMING DEMANDING THAT I DID NOT WANT NOTHING FROM THEM AND FOR THEM NOT TO SEND ME NO FREE TRIAL,OF COURSE THEY PUT ME ON HOLD 7OR 8 TIMES ASKING ME THE SAME QUESTIONS TELLING THAT THEIR COMPUTER WAS SLOW AND PLEASE HOLD FOR 2 MINUTES. I HAVE CALLED AT LEAST 10 TIMES CANCELING THIS PRODUCT. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE CALL AND CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD BEFORE THEY TAKE YOU FOR MORE THAN YOU ARE WILLING TO GIVE THEM. IT ONLY TAKE THE BANK A FEW MINUTES TO GIVE YOU A NEW CARD AND IT WILL PUT ADVANCED WELLNESS ON NOTICE NO MORE SCAM MONEY FROM YOU! I HONESTLY THOUGHT THAT IF OPRAH AND DR.OZ RECOMMENDS THIS PRODUCT THEN WE WERE SAFE. WRONG! THEY INDORSED THE PRODUCT NOT THE COMPANY. SOMEONE PLEASE START A CLASS ACTION AGAINST THIS COMPANY SO THAT ALL OF US CAN PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. I BELIEVE THAT IF ALL OF US WOULD CALL OUR LOCAL NEWS TV STATIONS AND THEY START A INVESTIGATION WE MOST CERTAINLY WILL STOP THIS SCAM. I AM, WHAT ABOUT YOU!

  • Tee Jay

Get a hold of the Attorney General in the state that the Acai product was shipped and report them.

Call up the newspapers, any newspapers, and inform them how Oprah Winfrey has helped a bullshit company defraud people.

If you want Acai berries, try a local health food store.

  • Jim

Sent for a FREE trial of Pure Acai Berry for only $4.99 S&H. Received that bottle, but 3 weeks later my debit card was hit for $78.81 for the next shipment. Whne I signed up for the trial, there was no mention of ebing signed up for continuing shipments. Called their 866 number and got somebody in India that kept trying to get me to stay on the program-even though their website says “Easy Cancel”. Sent the company (Advanced Wellness Research) a nasty email about their practices and got an email saying my money would be refunded, only time will tell if that’s true.

  • Tee Jay

One more thing, they CAN be sued if you get the right attorney, sued for the hassel, sued for the misleading “free trial” crap.

  • Jannie

Why didn’t I read about this before I ordered? What do I do to have it stopped?

  • Carol

Thought I might order, but decided to do some research, glad I did. Try contacting you state attorney general’s office and file a complaint. This usually works.

  • Debbie

I was in Walgreens recently and picked up a bottle of Acai for $6.99. It has done more in two days than Colonix has done in 3 weeks and it is cheaper. It seems that any free trial these days is for 14 days and you have to cancel before that or others will be shipped. First the 14 days is a scam, it should at least be 30 days and if it is offered as a trial, it should be yours once you pay the S&H.

  • Donn

I also ordered the acai free trail offer. If gives me pain in my heart and it feels like I’m having a heart attack. The pain starts at my ear and goes down to my heart. I called and canceled the product. When I received a bill of 14.94 for the trial bottle,I was furious. I called my credit card company that I wanted to dispute the charge. The credit card company said I would have the 14.95 in the mail by next week. I hope they are calling the better business people. I hope this will be resolved. Also, it did not do a thing for me. No weight loss.

  • WENDY

HI,AS WELL I ORDERED NATURAL ACAI BERRY,I THOUGHT GREAT NEWS I NEW IF IT WAS ON OPRAH IT HAD TO BE GREAT WELL GUESS WHAT I GUESS NOT I NO OPRAH HAS ENOUGH MONEY AND DOES NOT WANT TO STEAL ARE MONEY BUT IT IS SHORE MAKING HER LOOK BAD JUS GOES TO SHO IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD IT IS

  • WENDY IN RICHMOND VA

OH P.S THE PHONE # ON MY BOTTLE 1-800278-3620 IS NOT A WORKING # U GO FIGURE THESE PEOPLE NEED TO B LOCKED UP

  • Rondee

IF you look at all the various sites that sell POWER, 500, Vial etc- you will notice something…..

I believe that it all run by the same company. Along with all the supposed .org sites that tell you the best ones out there – all of these are BUYER BEWARE! I would suggest going to a quality health food website that sells supplements – and forget the free trial – nothing is for free these days.

  • darlene

I order acai berry said 4.95 for afree trail never recieved a trail and was charged $87.13 on my card. CALLED THE COMPANY AND NO ONE WOULD ANSWER.SCAM SCAM SCAM

  • LOL

I thought it might be a scam when it took 8 days to get my order and I read the fine print where it said you must return the unused poetion with in 15 days of order if not satisfied… I bought it on my debet card, the day after I recived the product, I asked my back to kill to card and not to allow any charges to that card number…. scam me will ya.

  • Luanne

Beware: I ordered the product and with-in ten days, was charged an additional $78.91.. I called them up, and after being on hold for 30 minutes, was told that I would have to wait on hold to speak to a supervisor. After a 20 minute wait, I was finally handed off to the supervisor who told me that the $78.91 was for the initial order, and that I would be charged that amount monthly. I told him I wanted to cancel and that I wanted them to back out the charge of $78.91. He indicated this was not possible, as I had been taking the product. Now, I fear that I will be charged again, next month, although I requested to cancel my order.

The Better Business Bureau lists the following numbers as well for this company.

    Tel: (828) 657-4518
    Tel: (888) 692-8532
    Tel: (866) 470-1022

Any advice on how to cancel would be very much appreciated.

  • Galina

    Hello all.
Their website outlines all the conditions on the trial offer. It is not a FREE trial. Besides, they sign you up for other products. Please read carefully. It is pure scam.
Someone asked where you go to report the scams. Attorney Genral comes to mind… BBB is also a place…

  • Sue

I just clicked on the free sample to read the fine print where it says after 14 days a shipment will be sent to you and every 30 days there after another shipment will be sent. You can cancel at any time but I’ve been there before I certainly do no remember signing up for any free sample but I have the $79. charge and I am mad

  • JoAnn

No such thing as a $4.95 trial. In a matter of days they will charge your credit card to the tune of $79 and there is no other product. Just a RIP OFF. Maybe you’,, lose weight because they take your money needed for real food. IT’s A RIP OFF

  • m from nj

i got charged 44.85 also when it said free trial pay for shipping only. u cant get them on the phone to cancel until after your time is up. that is complete false advertising, which is a crime. i even sent emails that were never answered. hopefully i will get my money back after i have to send it ALL back even the free sample. i guess thats y i never order anything on the computer u just cant trust anyone. thanks m

  • Roland

Thanks to all of you for your honest opinion of this product. I convinced my wife that it did not appear to be a good idea to order the free trial with the fine print stating that credit card charges would be incurred on a regular, on-going basis. The $4.95 trial offer does look appealing, but BEWARE!!!! Thanks again for your candor and good luck trying to end your nightmare. A “class action” suit should be initiated immediately for you all to recover any loss monies. If it were me, I’d call my credit card company and explain the situation. Then, request to cancel your account!!

  • jo

so glad i have found this site before i ordered i was half way through ordering when something made me stop and read up on this product first seeing how all you guys have been scammed i think i will give it a miss!!!

  • Barbara Kayler

TOTAL SCAM. Like everyone else the company bills fraudulantly. BBB should be notified.

  • mary

Has anyone tried to find someone who sells the product on their own and buy from them instead of ordring on the web site? also anyone who has been taking the product have had any reactiones to it like stomach problems?

  • m-canada

Just wanted to say thanks for all your comments. I was just about to order this product but thanks to all of you I know better now.

  • KiKi

I am soooo glad I found this website and read your stories. I too came very close to ordering the product and chickened out at the last minute. Thank you to everyone for your honesty. I hope you all get your issues resolved but please know that your statements hear have stopped at least one person from getting this headache. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

  • monica

thank you all for the important input of this
product. I was getting ready to purchase when I
did click on the terms and that tells another
story about how we can get scammed from these
advertisements. Everyone should read the FINE
print when ordering this stuff off the net.
Thank you for saving me $$$ on ths product.
Be careful what you order from talk shows,I’m sure
they are getting paid by the advertisers of these
    products.

  • Jan

i stupidly ordered the free trial of AcaiBerry and the cleanser and then I just read all your reviews about the extra charges and what they were doing to everyone. With so many of others complaining about the treatment they were getting from the company I immediatly called my bank and had them cancel my credit card and issue me a new number which they were happy to do. It’s a pain to have the inconvience of getting a new card but at least it won’t cost me anything and it was faster than going through the company .

  • Joyce

    Hell all,

I wish I would have seen these comments before I ordered my free Acai-Berry and Life Cleanse. I ordered mine on Jan 6th and I just got off the phone with CS(less than a minute wait)(after reading these comments, and canceled both my free trial offers. The CS rep gave me cancelation order#s and said that I will receive an e-mail showing both orders were cx. Will watch my bank statement very closely to make sure I don’t receive any further charges. So far the non-refundable shipping charges are all I have been charged. Will keep you all informed how it goes.

  • Tina

Buy Acai vegecapsules at Walgreens for $8.00 bucks I’ve lost 14 pounds in 2 weeks also colon cleanse. I almost ordered I’m glad I didn’t good luck to you all.

  • Lisa

I AM SO GLAD I READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING… I ALMOST DID ORDER…BY READING ALL YOUR COMMENTS HAS HELPED ME TO REALIZE NEVER ORDER ONLINE WHAT I CAN GET IN THE STORE..I HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR EVERYONE AND YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK

  • Laura

Holy smokes. Just go google “47 lbs with my hectic life” and there are at least 50 sites (and I’m still counting) where the testimonial of that lady with red hair and the 3 kids is posted. And they ALL have different names and cities. This is more than a scam – this actually looks like VERY organized crime. Jillian, Jen, Jayme, Anna, DEstiny, kelly, Lydia, Suz (basically just insert name) all the same person. All flogging the same thing. Wouldn’t touch it!

  • Marie

I am surprised that all of you did not realize that nothing is free plus it is written in small print that if you do not cancel, you will be charged every month for a new supply. That is fie if you like the product.
But, always test once anything and do your homework without getting yourself into these situation easily avoidable.
All I did was research a company that sells freeze dried pure Acai which happens to be the purest and best way to take it. I could order just one jar and paid for it full price. No gimmicks. I am going to order a second jar soon. This company did not ask for me to pay automatically each month and are obviously honest enough to sell one by one with no strings attached so to speak.
You cannot blame these companies for trying to make money. Acai is a very good food if you want to lose some weight (be realistic, you will not lose 10 pounds in a week!) but it is also very good for you. Magazine companies do the same thing and so does Reader”s Digest books…..and cosmetic companies.
Just use common sense and blame yourself rather than the company. You can buy just one bottle or jar with no further payments. Read the small print and that is good advice for anything and everything.
Acai Berry is good for you. Good luck.

  • Marie

PS. And remember to forget about free samples! It was the greed to get something free that caused all these problems in the first place. Nothing is free. But this doe not mean the product is no good. It is marketing, advertising and selling which is the American way….

  • Marilyn

I almost did the order myself just a few minutes ago, but when I read the fine print and seen how the future charges were to be added, I became uneasy! All of you need to get ahold of the “Attorney General’s Office,” in the area “Where this fraud is running out of,” and turn them into them for a full investigation and maybe possibly they will be prosecuted and you may get refunded your money?? It is worth a try.

  • Marilyn

Here is the site I visted and almost ordered from:
    SlimBodyCoach.com
    also know as:
    GNS
    6452 Fig Street Unit A
    Arvada, Colorado 80004
    Phone to Order at: 800-595.4670
    support@slimbodycoach.com

    This Product was endorsed by:
    Oprah Winfrey
    also: Rachel Ray

You all need to contact the Attorney Generals Office in: Colorado and have this outfit investigated…If this is where you ordered from. Hope this helps someone out there to put an end to these “Fly by Nights!”

  • Barb

I also was scammed. I wish this RipOffice Report had come up when you go into look at the site. I was just looking to see what they say. I started to fill out the form, had second thoughts, but it went through anyway. Now I find a $79.95 charge on my account. I have nothing to show for this. I too have tried to call and was told of the hours and to leave a message they will get back to me. Or I could go to info@verifyyourorder.com. It asked for a order number – - I have none. Then it comes up No orders Found. So why the charge. At same time they add you to a diet plan, which has hidden charges and you haven’t asked for it. It seems with our bad economy all kinds of scams are going on. That makes things even worse.

  • B. Taylor

This is unadultered scam! The “Sample” or “trial, is simply a slick way to get your credit card number. You will note they use several names – one on the initial CC charge; another on the mailing package, and another on the second charge for unordered product.

The charge on my CC was a full month before the product arrived. I immediatly notified the CC company, and sent a compaint to the State Attorney General. Returned the pacckage unopened demand a refund and cancellin any future mailins. Waiting!

  • B. Taylor

When scamed, as I and many of you have been, first return the unopened package with a cover letter, and send by registerd mail for return receipt. Notify your credit card company IMMEDIATELY, followed by a letter. Then send a complaint to the State Attorney General (They have a web site for complaints that make it easy to complete)

  • Lee Ellen

I am so glad that I didn’t purchase this ripped off product. Maybe down the road there can be a class action suit for this company ripping people off. Yeah the AG should indeed close this place down before they take the money and run………

  • Redneck

This company needs to be punished. They are taking advantage of lots of people. Who can we go to to stop this blatant disregard for peoples on line shopping safety? Who can take care of this?

  • bena mcclure

Scam. scam. they charge for shipping of free trial, then keep charging for product you never get. Will not answer the phone. had to go to fraud dept of my credit card to get this stopped.

  • Janem

to leanora Oprah did not back any of these companies what she did is promote acai. I have had the same problems and figured out if I want to try this stuff I need to purchase it from a health food store. All of these online companies for Acai, colon cleanse like Bromalite… are just scams to get your charge card number… They know America loves Dr Oz and Oprah and they use there photos to promote the product and convince you to buy… Oprah wants to be made aware of companies that are doing this…so drop her a line ..at least she can go after the people and inform the public of the scams using her name without permission.

I just got done ordering this and a colan cleanse. I then did some research on them both and found this website. Thank you because I just called my credit card company and closed out my card. They had already charged the shipping charges on the card. I just did this within the last two hours. I hope I do not get any more charges I don’t want to deal with what you have all dealt with. I will go to GNC and see what I can purchase. See if it works at all.

  • Marai

If you really want this product do some research first. If the site does not have a physical address don’t buy it. Don’t give your credit card information. There is antother site where you have to pay for Acai Berry Supplement but it is the real thing. This website name is accaiberrysite.com . Go and check this website out. I did. If you want to report it you have to go and report this website to General Attorney Office in the state where this bad company has physical address. Olso report it to Better Bussiness Biuro. Thank you for reading.

  • Pamela Neely

I, like many others, was fooled by the 14 day free trial offer! I only used the product for 3 days and called to cancell so that I would not be charged the $59.99 monthly fee. After my account was cancelled and my name was removed from the autoship list, I was still informed that I would still be charged $59.99! When I asked why, I was told that it was because I received a 30 day supply. When I asked her what happened to the 14 day free trial, she said that it was free if you continued on with the product. I told the rep that this information was not stated to me prior to ordering and she said to me, “It is all explained in the Terms and Conditions”! What they need to do is advertise, “PLEASE READ OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE ACCEPTING THIS 14-DAY FREE TRIAL OFFER!, which we all know they will not do! This offer is a MAJOR RIP-OFF! Don’t get caught up and don’t bother with this SCAM! Once they get your credit card information, they will automatically bill and ship more of their product, whether you want it or not! Don’t get caught up! Try something else from a more trust-worthy company! This is not one of them! I DON’T CARE IF THE PRESIDENT ENDORSES THIS PRODUCT! DON’T FALL FOR THIS SCAM! If this many people have the same complaint, we all can’t be wrong! Save your money, your time and a lot of frustration and TRY SOMETHIGN ELSE!

  • Tamekia Marks

I too have been scammed. They charged my account for the initial $3.93 for the 14 day trial on 12/26/08 and then again $87.83 on 1/7/09. I STILL have NOT received my “FREE” 14 day trial as of today. I called 866-949-0138 on 1/9/08 and spoke w/ Keigh who says that my “FREE” trial was just shipped (on that same day) and that she was sorry and would refund my $87.83 and stop the auto ship. On 1/10/09 my bank showed a credit for the $87.83. On 1/12/09 they charged my account again for the $87.83 and now the phone number I originally called doesn’t work. I found a few other numbers here and tried those. I finally reached a Van who gave me some sob story about their computers being down and she would call me back (but she never verified my ph#). When I asked her what number she would be calling me back at, she gave the number that showed up on her caller-ID. I then told her she could not reach me at that # and she got upset.
I then hung up and called my credit card company to report fraudulent charges. DO NOT LET YOUR BANK TALK YOU INTO KEEPING THE SAME CARD, AS LONG AS THEY HAVE THAT NUMBER THEY CAN CONTINUE TO CHARGE EVEN WITH A DISPUTE IN PLACE. I also advised them that the original 14 day free trial still hasn’t been received. My bank is starting the dispute process on my behalf. This has been a MESS……

I purchased a weight loss tea on this web site address
Wy-Yi source.com.Same concept and promotion details as the scam mentioned above. To my surprise i received the package in 2 weeks time(mind you I am in Australia). When opened there was a box of 60 tea bags… once I read the ingredients couldnt help but laugh at my stupidity. PURE OOLONG TEA. What a disappointment. I am awaiting my visa to be charged $89.00 every month from now unless I cancel my order. It just hit me I can get pure oolong tea from my corner shop for $3.50……..Oh must mention there was a bottle of the acaiburn in the package.Thats how I happened to hop on the net and find you guys.well i am definitely enjoying my very expensive tea, i am conducting a full on ritual with a special chinese SLIM tea pot.I must come up with an eurika moment and make tea pots made from australian special slim clay and sell it too them at the special promotional price..anyhow we learn…….

  • Rondel

Holly smokes I didn’t realize how many people got scammed by this company, heck I thought it was just me and people have been falling vitim of this crap since November. I wish I had researched this product fully, I saw Oprahs face on it and said hey it’s gotta work. Only to be left with two products Acai pure and Colopure(look out for this one too), and $80 missing out of my account they don’t worn you they just lie and take your money, I feel for the people missing product and money the only cure is to cancel your card and the order. Those people saying it worked are full of sh*! They probably work for the company they should be ashamed fo themselves, I tell you this internet isn’t safe you can only trust the companies who are world reknown if they not dont trust them. This nutrapharmacutical company can kiss mine and probably hundreds more people’s (you know what)! THEY TOTALLY SUCK! ILLEGAL BAST@*#!

  • Alex

Can someone give the website address for this place. I ordered and am worried about getting charged and I can’t remember the sites name. At least a phone number would be great. Any help would be fantasic.

  • CH

I agree to the all the reviews above, BIGGEST SCAM EVER. I ordered the free trail and before I realised I was charged $79 on my credit card. As my statement came in, I called never could reach anyone, went online help, sent emails but no response, seemed like a hassle and so much waste of time, but no response. Kept trying and worst was yet to come, Boom came my next statement and I was charged again $79/- there was no way to cancel or talk to anyone. VERY FRUSTRATED, am seeking help. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. Just finally cancelled my credit card today. BUT PLEASE DO NOT GET INTO THIS.IT IS A TERRIBLE MONEY MAKING SCAM.

  • Sharon

This is a scam as far as I’m concerned. I never received my trials of the Ascai berry or the colon aid 700 that was suggested. I was charged for shipping on both product and they will not credit my account.

    NOTHING IS FOR FREE!!!!

  • Jo Catalanotti

I sent for the free samples…only received one the Berry! They informed me that one of the items was not a “product” AND since I did not stop the autoship within the 14 days allowed, they would NOT refund my $69.00! Neither could the bank help me to stop this payment. It is now 6 weeks past and I still have not received the colon cleanse! What a rip! I am informing the Attorney General, why don’t you? So sorry, so disappointed and LIVID because I love Dr Oz and Opra.

  • Jan

In September 2008, I too purchased acai pure and was charged a fee of $4.95 shipping and handling. It took almost a month to receive the product and I was charged 49.95. I had to call three times to cancel and I had to call my bank to reverse charges. It’s a scam. Don’t order this product.

  • Me Too

I sent the product back but was not refunded. On 01/13/09, the local news station issued a BBB alert for this company. Not sure that any of us will get our money back, but these posts will hopefully help others not to get scammed also.

  • Kim From Montana

Thank you all for the posts, I will not be duped, and plan to take my money to GNC where I can buy the product and take it home that day, and not have a worry about my credit card being messed up, THANK YOU THANK YOU for the helpful posts.

  • SMOGGY

I was going to purchase this product, but I’m so glad I found this site. I think I just save myself anywhere from $44.95 to $79.95. Please everyone, tell you friends and family not to purchase this product except from a Health Food Store, or from the one person’s recommendation of Walgreens for $6.99 a bottle.

  • Judy

Hi all, I find I am not the only one falling for this scam. Free offer my eye. Anacia Berry charged me 87.83 then I receive this order from Bromalite. I never ordered it. Charged me 69.95. Then I receive an order from Fit-Fac. Who the devil are they ? I get charged 29.95. I called and called. Put me on hold for ever. Then you get this— Lady you should read the fine print. This is a pure scam. I had to cancel my debit card and was told this is the third one they have processed this week for false charges. PLEASE DO NOT GET CAUGHT IN THIS SCAM. The product does not work. It made me have heart attack symotoms. BEWARE

  • Lily

Hello …………I am so glad I found this site and the feedback on this scam. I too ordered their product and when I found this site I immediately called and canceled my order and took it a step further by canceling my credit card too so they cannot bill me later. I was able to reach Acai Pure right away however the person I spoke with told me to call them back tomorrow to cancel my order because he could not get through to “shipping”. Bite me! This has to be a scam as attested by the above emails.

  • Coco

    The best way not to get ripped off on your credit card is to purchase a VanillaVisa gift card. they can be purchased at the following;
the Dollar General, Wal Mart in the US. That way the company can’t keep charging yur card. also if you haven’t gotten your order make a copy of all transactions you made with company and then send it to the Attorney Generals office for your star]te and also the Better Business. Before yu do that notify the company where you purchased the product on yur intention. I have done that to other companies and it scared them spitless. Got either a replacement within a 2 to 3 days or money back.

  • Marie Robinson

AcaiPure has deducted from my account twice and I’ve not received any product to date and no response from them. I ordered on line, which I see was a big mistake. So, I’ve not had a chance to try the product, because they’ve taken my money and not delivered.

  • Terry

I feel this is a scam, I ordered a free sample with the shipping cost of $4.95 and was charge $45 for products I didn’t order. I tried to call the company and was on hold over 1 1/2 hours with no answer. I emailed and told them I sent the items back for a refund and to cancel any membership they had me on. I have waited over 4 months and still have not gotten my refund. I have emailed again asking that someone contact me and have not even gotten a call back. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!

  • Tara

All of u are actually right. I was a victim of the same scam. The best thing for everyone to do that ordered these pills and money is still coming out of your accounts is to:CALL YOUR BANKS AND CANCEL YOUR BANKCARDS.IF YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE EXTREME OF CHANGING ACCOUNTS DO SO. WHOEVER ARE IN CHARGE OF THESE SIGHTS ARE MAKING MONEY AND IT IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!IF EVERYONE DOES THIS THEN THEY CANT GET NO MONEY FROM NO ONE!!!!

  • Diana

I had purchased some kind of acai product and saw this immediately after. I called the number given in an email confirmation and just canceled the entire thing. there were three programs that I had been enrolled in by sending off for the free trial. they said it was in fine print. So be careful. BEWARE

  • Marie

Freeze dried Acai berry PURE does work. My energy level has tripled, I do not get hungry, never felt better. I am not losing weight fast but I did lose 2 pounds in about ten days………I never felt better and now my son takes it and feels same.
The only scam is the monthly payment plan. Do your homework and order it via a company that sells jar per jar or how ever many you want.
Just do not order from companies that automatically send you the product.
Nothing is a miracles, so be realistic as well.
    It is a healthful fruit.

  • Bonnie

This goes to show, you should not believe what you read on the
internet sites. I found a charge of $186 on my credit card because
I failed to respond and cancel within 15 days! There was NO invoice
to say CANCEL. I used their e-mail address and it does NOT work!
I’ve tried to call and could get no answer. How does one make a complaint on this company (Colon Cleanse as well). Get our money back? Who keeps endorsing these products if they are NOT on the up and up?? I’ll never buy another product from any site!!!!!! What a rip off. Now I have to call my bank and try to rectify this mess. Who is responsible for publishing this crap? I think GETDIETSOLUTIONS.com should take some initiative and be responsible!!

  • gloria. rodriquez

i ordered the free samples about 3 months ago. maybe 4 months ago and i need you to stop sending me pills thats about $90.00 per month your taking out of my checking account. please stop!!!!!! you have my email please send me some thing saying it’s gonna stop!!!!!! i don’t have $90.00 dollars for some i don’t want, just wanted to try it out and i did, thank you very much but it’s not the pills for me.. gloria.rodriquez

  • Debbie Wyatt

This is a big scam….they are under 2 names Genixdiet and acai…they got me so far for $88.97 and $69.95 in the same week!!!!!

Ofcourse when you try to call the offices are closed!! I am pissed!!!

  • nancy

I am just wanting to know if this product actually works? even for the people that were scammed.

  • NANCY

HELLO EVERYONE, I TWO FELL FOR THE FREE TRAIL. I WAS CHARGED FOR S&H 3.95 WHICH IT WAS ALREADY CHARGED TO MY ACCOUNT,THE NEXT DAY I PLACED THE ORDER,
PLUS THERE IS A 1.00 CHARGE PENDING FOR THE WHOLE CHARGE OF 78.95 THAT THEIR GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TWO BOTTLES THEY ARE SENDING TO ME AFTER THE 14 DAY TRAIL. WHICH I DO NOT RECALL THEM SAYING IN THE FREE TRAIL THAT IT’S GOING TO BE TWO BOTTLES. I STILL DID NOT RECIVE THE PILLS, BUT THEY ALREADY CHARGED MY ACCOUNT. I CALLED THAT SAME DAY, AND TOLD THEM TO CANCELL THE ORDER. AND THEY TOLD ME I HAVE TO SEND THE UNUSED PILLS BACK TO THEM FOR THEM TO REFUND MY MONEY BACK. SO THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN GET YOUR WHOLE CHARGE BACK ,IF YOU DON’T EVEN OPEN THE PACKAGE. THATS WHAT THEY TOLD ME. SO YOU CAN’T EVEN TRY THE PRODUCT IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK. IF YOU STARTED THE DIET, YOU JUST COULD FORGET ON GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK. I’M REPORTING THEM. IF WE ALL GET A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM, WE’LL GET OUR MONEY BACK AND SOME.

  • Jaymie

I also tried the trial offer and then was sent more of the product at $44.95. I was unaware that they set you up a program. I think it’s a shame that people with legitimate problems get taken advantage of like that.
HOW DO I GET OUT OF THIS!!

  • Julia

I recently also purchased a free two week trial of acai berry less shipping $5.95. I was charged immediately and didn’t receive the product for 6 weeks, my first months statement was accurate listing only that charge, the following month however was a nightmare. I got not one but 4 charges on my credit card ranging from $29.95 to $89.95. For what I have no idea, things I never authorized nor agreed too, A pure and total scam, trust me. I spent 2 days and many hours on hold for companies that I don’t actually think exist outside of thier basement. I am working with my credit card company and hopefully will be done with this mess soon. They are going to handle it from here, call your credit card company, mine was very helpful. After many attempted failings and unbeleiveable on hold wait times with these so called 800 #’s I went right to my card co. They have put a hold on all disputes and are getting to the bottom of this scam. In the meantime I would call your better business bureaus. Good Luck!

  • ALAN

I HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOUR VARYING AMOUNTS FROM THIS COMPANY AND ALSO TO GO ONE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE A $ 10 MEMBERSHIP FEE WOULD YOU BELIEVE ALL FOR ONE BOTTLE OF PILLS THEY MAKE YOU FEEL STUPID IT IS VERY SLICK I HAVE HAD TO CANCEL MY CREDIT CARD TO STOP THEM FROM TAKING ANY MORE MONEY…..AS I AM ON A DISABILITY PENSION FREE TRIAL WHAT A JOKE

  • Coco

This is what I e-mailed to them.

EITHER YOU SEND ME MY ORDER OR GIVE ME A TOTAL REFUND OF MY MONEY; OR I WILL CONTACT THE NEW YORK STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE AND ALSO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND ALSO HAVE YOU BROUGHT UP ON INTERNET FRAUD. YOU HAVE EXACTLY 2 DAYS TO SEND IT IN. IT IS WAY OVER A WEEK AND A HALF SINCE I ORDERED YOUR PRODUCT.

I do not play games of any kind. I would suggest to everyone here to get a VanillaVisa Gift Card that is sold at any Dollar General store, Wal Mart, etc. You can use it online to order things. It has differant amounts. $25, $50, $100 you purchase at these amounts. there are fees that you have to pay also. Buy purchasing a card like this you do not have to worry about money being deducted from any bank account that your credit card is used on; any extra fees, etc. Hope this helps everyone.

  • JuliaNRichmondVA

I read the ads and I had seen the Dr. Oz thing on Oprah. I also have a book by Kevin Trudeau about health secrets that doctors don’t want us to know so I’ve read about all these various weight loss ideas. However, I’m not about to fall for the “free gift” thing because I know that nothing is free. I went to “The Vitamin Shoppe” and bought a bottle of the juice there for $14 instead. Folks that got taken, I feel for you, but if you found this site before ordering then you would have saved yourself a lot of headaches. Dr. Oz and Oprah endorse the Acai products…NOT the brand so don’t blame them for you folks not doing your homework first. You can get Acai from local places and take it back if you don’t like it. The only place I mail order is thru Ebay and even then I only use PayPal.

  • Danette

FYI – I went to my local GNC and purchased a bottle from them and they also had it in liquid form. Please note that you should be using it for the antioxidants that it provides and not so much as a weight loss miracle pill.

  • Marjorie Wullschleger

Well, folks, thanks for all the information. You really got me on the phone to cancel this Acai stuff, and was told only the $5.95 would be charged on my CC. I then called my credit card people, talking to Lois who couldn’t have been nicer. I did have the charge of $5.95, but none other, so I then cancelled my card and they are sending me a new card. Only a 7-10 day wait for the new card. I am a Senior citizen and should know better than to order but get carried sometimes. :) Don’t order coins online either; I got in a bunch of hassle over them, too. Don’t EVER give your CC online, even if GOD is calling. Thanks again.

  • louise

I ordered the colon cleaner, the rep tried to gt me to agree to “one time simple charge of 44.00″ thru I M i simply continued to refuse and repeat i only wnat the free trial. i got charged 14.95 cents. And also the pills back me up ( know what I mean) I felt like I had serveal cneder block in my stomach. I am very happy I came across this site. lesson learned i will simply go to GNC speak with the sales rep and go form there

  • Lynda

I ordered the Acai ‘free’ trial online but didnt see the very small print that states if your overseas you get charged extra $20 – Im in UK. It also puts you in to receive junkmail at a cost of approx $20 every 2wks.

They invoiced me $25 to my account instead of the $4.99 for the trial and i received an email immediately saying that they were out of stock on the pills so it was just a scam to get me to sign up to the junkmail!

I contacted my bank immediately and cancelled my card and lucky for me i did it in time so no money actually was taken from my account.
I still check it every now and again to make sure.

The only way to stop the payments is to cancell your cards and get new ones. They will not stop at anything to get your money. As its just a SCAM!!

  • Charles

It would appear that there are enough folks who feel they were scammed to contact their state Attorney General’s office and file a formal criminal fraud complaint. Doing so may not guarantee that action is taken, but if no one does it, you can be assured that the company will continue to rip off unwary consumers.

  • bj

I ordered the product and i saw the disclaimer about the charges. But the ad reads as if you will not be charged if you call and cancel within a designated time frame. The problems are 1)The product is not packaged in a way that allows you to just try it for 14 days. They send you a bottle with a 60 day supply. Once you open it, you can’t return the unused product.
2)It truly does take about an hour to get a human on the phone. Some of the numbers do not work.
3)They have several ‘prechecked’ boxes for additional product at additional charges. Generally the box is checked for a “no’ response and you have to check to accept something. This is obviously intended to mislead consumers.
4)I found this site after using the product for almost 2 weeks. I wanted to know how it was working for others. I had much more “cleansing’ bowel movements before using the products. I am actually experiencing constipation with the use of the products. ADVICE- just eat a healthful diet of fresh fruits and veggies for better results. (I only wanted to drop 10# for a special function, needless to say that hasn’t happened and the function has passed.)

IF you want a real proven method for weight loss, Ian Smith’s FAT SMASH Diet works best. His book is $15.00 and it lists regular grocery items and weekly/monthly diet plans to achieve healthy, supplement free results. I lost 11 pounds in 9 days, NO LIE!

  • bj

I did receive the products in a timely manner and I was able to cancel over the phone. it took a few days of waiting for over half an hour. After what I read today, I will no further charges appear.

Wish I had checked here first!

  • bj

correction of typo in previous post.
After what I read today, I will be checking my account carefully to make sure that no further charges appear.

  • donna

thank you thank all of you for letting me know just how this company works. I went to the health food store and paid only $16.55 for 30 pills. I will start tomorrow and pray that it works as I have tried every thing else under the sun. The sales clerk said if I had any bad reactions I could return the unused product and she would give me a full refund. Now thats a deal

  • nikki

wow im glad i saw this site before ordering thank you all for changing my mind!

  • Erik

There isn’t a lot of nice things one can say about the old communist regime of the former Soviet Union, with the possible exception that the penalty for fraud then was death by a firing squad. I’m sure the bunko artists dealing in Acai products whould have had a thin time of it under Breshneff, Kruschef or Stalin. What is so particularly abhorent about swindle is that someone, or a group of individuals, will sit up all night planning how they can scam the general public. You’d think we were living in Nigeria the way hucksters operate at liberty in this country. Whatever happened to the old “truth in advertising” ordinance? If a product is offered free, it is not longer free if the recipient must pay $79.95 for shipping and handeling. And it is not a Stairmaster they are sending you but at 2 oz plastic bottle with a net weight of under 1 oz. The most galling part of it all is the “money back guarantee,” since the product is free, and S&H is not refundable, we are talking of SWINDLE BY DESIGN. The intent to scam is so brazenly apperant that the Government should put a stop to it. I’m not a lawyer, but one correspondent suggested that a class action suit could be brought against the swindlers. What they do goes beyond taking decent-thinking people for their money; it also destroys confidence in your fellow citizen. Someone get the ball rolling!

  • Gene

I ordered yesterday and thought I would do some more reading….WOW. I wish now I had read first. After reading Marjorie’s post I imediately called my cc company and explained that I had been duped. They were very cooperative and said that there was a lot of this happening. I cancelled my card before Acai Pure gets me for any more. I have absolutly no patience to stay on hold. I learned a lesson today, I’ll never do that again…..to bad for those honest sellers though. Thanks to everyone for speaking up.

  • Lynn

I’m glad, I’ve found this web site. Thank you to all your feedback.Beware next time.

  • ALAN

I HAVE EMAILED OPRAH ABOUT THIS COMPANY USING HER NAME ……IF EVERYONE DID THE SAME I AM SURE IT WOULD HELP AS SHE HAS THE RESOURCES TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND IS AT LEAST LIVING ON THE SAME CONTINENT AS THEM WHICH MUST SURELY HELP

  • Lynn

I received my bottle of Acai Berry from Advanced Wellnes Research. I also received an e-mail that said I would be charged only the $4.99 now. Whoa, red flag! What do they mean only $4.99 now. So I went back to the site and low and behold this product is going to cost me $78.81. So I figure okay it says I can get a refund number and send it back. BUT WAIT! I already opened it. So I proceed to call the number on my order sheet. The guy I talked to said he can give me a discount for this bottle and for future bottles of $40. But if I decide I do not want my next order I have to call and cancel my order before Feb. 19th. After reading all of the above complaints, I am seriously thinking of calling my credit card company. I can’t believe I was stupid to fall for this. I should know better. The other bottle of Bromalite is not here yet. But I did call their number and was asked to leave my phone number and name. I did and am wondering if that was a huge mistake. How can a company get away with this kind of scam? They should be ashamed of themselves in this time where everyone is hurting for money to do something like this is unconscienable. Thank you all for your honesty and next time I will think of this and Say, No Way!

  • Lynn

I have called both companies and the one said they will credit my credit card as soon as they receive my bottle back. I am going to send it to them certified so they have to sign for it. The other company was more than willing to cancel my order and said to keep the bottle as a free gift. Which is not true as I have to still pay for the shipping. I then called my credit card company and made them aware of what I had done. I was told that if anything shows up on my account after this phone call, all I have to do is call and let them know and we will be cancelling my card number. Oh, by the way the guy from Advance Wellness wanted to know why I was cancelling after having talked to them earlier. I told him I started doing some research on the internet and from what I could see they were scamming the pants off us. He was not very happy about that comment. Too bad.

  • Beth

I too am a fool. Thought a quick pill would help me lose weight. I ordered Acaiburn online and thought the transaction went through. I then got a call from another company Advanced Wellness Research the next day and they said my order did not go through and needed my credit card info to process. Not realizing they were another company altogether I gave them my info….like a fool!
I was charged 1.99 for my free trial from Advanced wellness and then 4.99 from the other company I intially purchased from.
I now have two free bottles from two different companies.
Thank goodness all these reviews are out there.
I have since cancelled my credit card and feel alot better fat and all.

  • theodora

    Hi,
I ordered acaipure 2 months ago, and was so excited when I received it. I noticed that they had put some hoodia water equivalent to an eye drop bottle that cost $39.95 and some gum (10 pieces) that cost $9.95 in my order. I called the number after days of trying to e-mail them. I never got through to a live operator. After numerous e-mails I finally got a response from someone stating I had checked for the gum and water when I ordered. A straight damn lie if I say so myself. Then a few days later I noticed 2 $59.00 debits from my checking account from someplace I never heard of. I called the bank and stated my debit card number had been stolen and they put a stop on my account. THey later issued me a new card. Now I will never order from them again!

  • ALAN

Con merchants……do not touch it with a barge pole

  • RIP OFF

People, wake up. . . this is a SCAM! DO NOT order from this company unless you want to be ripped off. Don’t say you weren’t warned!

  • Tiffany

I just recently signed up for the free months trial of acaiburn. I paid $4.95 for shipping and handling to receive my product which came about a week later. Since I was aware that they will charge your credit card for ridicolous amounts after your trial, rather than using my debit or credit card, I had used a prepaid visa card on it that only had like $5 left on it, so if they try and charge me any other fees, it won’t work!

  • Rao

I am glad I read all the above persons experience in ordering the free trial. Please send all the complaints to Oprah and Dr Oz as well as the Attorney Generals of your state and also Better Business Bureausin your city. They should be stopped at once and thrown in prison with heavy fines by courts.

I ordered on Friday and that afternoon my credit card company called about “unusual activity” on my account. I had already been charged over $60.00 for my $4.95 free trial. I cancelled my card. The bank dropped all charges on my account and is looking into the matter. I received my product in 3 days later along with other products I had not ordered, must have been those pre clicked boxes I didn’t see. Anyway, I am happily using these products for free and am not about to pay them a dime. Will not get any further charges since the card is cancelled. Oh, on the plus, I have lost 5 lbs already in 3 days and have dropped 4 inches off of my belly. The stuff does work, for me anyway. My card is Capital One. If not for them I would be ranting like the rest of you.

  • Jennifer

I am so thankful I took the time to read all of the comments on this page. I was seriously thinking about ordering this product, but after reading everyone’s comments, NO WAY. They should have these for all products for sale. I hope everyone is able to get their money returned to them and all works out for everyone.

USE A PREPAID /STORE BOUGHT CREDIT CARD and not your bank credit card!! All legitimate companies without fine print, scams or a automatic enrollment plan if you do not return it that bills monthly will take these store bought credit cards for payment methods (like you get at the grocery store or Wal-Mart)….If it is a scam they may not because they know they cannot continue to bill you. Everyone should know this is a common tactic for unscrupulous companies and a lot of companies do these deals with Money Back Guarantees so people feel safe and secure plus they think the product is good because they offer this guarantee. In fact most people don’t take the time to return products and request their money back since it is more of a hassle then its worth or in some cases may be embarrassed to talk with someone and return it. With these guys they set you up to bill you monthly and they get some money from you for a month or 6 if they are lucky. They bank on people not noticing or not taking time to stop it and if it is a automatic monthly billing most people don’t realize until 3 or for months later.

I bought something online before and gave my credit card for shipping and before I knew it 3 months later I had 4 different companies charging my credit card for products or services I did not order or receive. I spoke with the bank they refunded my money, canceled my card and sent a new one to me. I got my new card and 2 months later I see the same companies and charges again on my new card and I called the bank again. The Bank said that unless I cancel the service/product with the companies they will keep billing my cards including new cards and the bank actually called each company individually with me to tell them I am canceling my service and to stop billing me. Of course with the bank fraud department they were nice but while making the calls we found out that the 4 different companies with 4 different numbers and 4 different charges were all the same place with different names and services (actually when we dialed the other numbers the same guy kept answering)!! All my money was refunded and it was a hassle which took several hours and signed statements etc. Almost every time I use a card online I have problems and now purchase a store bought card that I use for purchases so that if there is any small print or discrepancies there is no money for them to get with continued billing. Of course I throw it out and buy a new one. I usually get a few different ones with $25, $50 and $75 on it to limit my exposure. If some company tries to talk you into using your credit card by saying you can’t use a store bought card or they only charge shipping it’s not a problem then they should not have a problem accepting the prepaid credit card. Don’t let them convince you otherwise or you are getting scammed!!

  • Marzzzie

OMG…You are all so right. I had to cancel two credit cards because of these FAKE companies. The credit card company is doing research on Acai Berry and Fit Fac and all the other fake o’s. Hang in there. Get your money back and beware.

Look out for this one. I ordered the $4.95 free trial supposedely with no other charges and no further shipments unless I called. Received the product two weeks later approximately mid-January. Checked my credit card the latter part of January and found a $78.81 charge for the product, as well as a $1.00 handling fee. When I called to see what this was for, I was told that because I didn’t cancel within 14 days, I was charged for the 14-day supply. I cancelled all further shipments and told them I was returning the unused amount for a refund. I was told that I couldn’t do that because it was past the 14 days. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE.

  • Jan

I ordered “free trial” & the next thing i know is another bottle came in the mail & my card was charged $72.05. Mine was from natural acai berry site. I had to cancel my card & get a new one. I have put in a report & visa is going to try & get my money back.

Yesterday, I ordered free trials of Acai Ultra Burn and Colon xR for $5.95 shipping each. Today, I noticed this site and cancelled my orders via email (hopefully – we’ll see). My cancellation email is included below. It contains some information that may be informative and/or helpful to others.

“Please immediately cancel my online orders of yesterday for free trials of two of your products, as well as what I have now learned, is an ongoing membership for your products. In addition, please remove from your files all information in your possession regarding my order including, but not limited to, my name, address, and credit card information. Order information follows:

    (order information)

Your website (www.acaiultraburn.com) is intentionally misleading regarding the free trial offer. There is no mention of an automatic membership being included in the free trial in the site’s text. Being intentionally mislead is confirmed on the page where billing information is entered and agreement with terms and conditions is requested since clicking on Terms and Conditions here returns a broken link message. Today, in an attempt to locate a contact address to cancel my orders and membership, I noticed, after scrolling down to the very end of your long home page, that the page trailer – in a very small font – contains three links, “Terms Privacy Policy Contact”. The Contact link returns a broken link message as does the Privacy Policy link. However, the Terms link did provide a telephone number and email address (support@ultragreenproducts.com)for membership cancellation, and – it turns out – includes the details of the membership obligation included in the free trial.

I have contacted my credit card company to deny any related charges to these orders and/or membership. They informed me they are well aware of your organization and “marketing” approach. If I receive any products from you, they will be immediately returned unopened.”

  • Larry

…another helpful hint that will make you rethink becoming involved in Acai “free trials”. Search the web for “Acai BBB” and read the hits received, such as, “Acai Berry Weight Loss Products Rank top 10 bbb scams of 2008″. BBB is the acronym for Better Business Bureau.

Has anyone else out there noticed the similiarity between the websites (page format, colors used, etc.) of the free trial websites for the various, differently named, Acai products? How about the same similiarity between many of the product review websites and the “free trial” sites? Hmmmmmmmm.

Unfortunately I had already ordered the acaci berry burn before reading this. Let’s just say as soon as I finished reading all your comments I felt very sick to my stomach with worry. I had thoughts of- will I be scammed too? Will I actually receive the product? How much money will I be out of? I immediately called the number they give to cancel and by surprise someone answered my call( I was not expecting that because everybody said when they would try to call they would get no response).
The lady I spoke to was very rude though. I told her that I had heard that people were getting scammed so I wanted to cancel my 14 day free trial. She said there was no way to cancel the shipment because they didn’t have access to the shipment department. Everything was computerized and I had already placed my order off the internt. I said well I don’t want it. She said that I would have to wait till I get the product then send it back in before the 14 days were up so that I wouldn’t get billed. She said that all she could do is put me down that I didn’t want the autoshipments that come with it if you don’t cancel before the 14 day trial. I told her I wanted to speak to a manager. She said she was a manager. She told me to just make sure that I send the product back in before the 14 days and then call a day or two later to cancel. I said if I call back am I going to get treated just like I am now?(because she was very rude). She said that she had given me more information than what anybody else would have given me if I had spoke to someone else. She was probably eluding to the fact that I had asked for the return address where to send the product back and she actually gave me that info. After getting off the phone with her I started checking my checking acct to see if I had been billed the 4.95 shipping and handling charges. About one day after I had spoke to her it had been taken out. I called acaci burn again and told them that I didn’t want the product and wanted to cancel it. The rep I got this time actually acted professional. She said that it was not showing in the system that there was a traking number showing that it had been shipped out. She said she would refund my 4.95. To my surprise they actually did. Here’s the bizare thing though, I still ended up receiving the acaci berry in the mail!! So I called them again. They told me the same thing again to simply return it in the mail before the 14 days are up and call them to cancel. I figured that since I have the product that I might as well try it. I ended up breaking out in a rash. I plan on sending it back today but now I’m afraid their going to try to scam me by saying that a.) they didn’t receive it back in time or b.) go ahead and bill me the full price and end up putiing me on autoship. I guess I will find out when I go to send it back. Now I don’t know wether to cancel my checking or not in case they do!This has been my experience with acai burn!!

  • tammy

My question is does the product work

  • Anita

What I would like to know is what is actually in these produces because I have not found one of them that actually tell you what is in them and what mg of acai berry is in the product.

  • Angry

You guys even bought the stuff. I didnt even subscribe to anything. I just saw it charged to my account. Ridiculous!!!

  • Tina

Sad to say I have to add my comments regarding these products. I say “these” products because, although I ordered just an Acai product (maybe it was Vital Acai or Pure Acai Berry, but here’s the number (866-964-1011), my account could have been charged for something they “throw in there” called Fit Factory (866-407-1022). Then I was going to order Bromalite (866-897-0663), put in all my info, but decided not to complete the order, and they charged me $69.95 plus $4.95 shipping anyway. In addition, something called WuYi Pixie Tea (through Bromalite) was also added for $34.95. Here’s the kicker, I never even received the Bromalite or tea. I’ve contacted all the companies and have confirmation numbers for cancellations and credits to my account. I can’t believe that I ordered this stuff and used my credit card over the internet. I feel so stupid. I’ll never again order these types of products. I’ll continue to check my account for additional charges and hope this mess teaches me a lesson about ordering diet products over the internet. They don’t work anyway. “I” need to do the work to lose weight. Good luck and God’s peace to all.

  • Esther

I don’t know why I bought it… I should have read the site where it said that it would charge me in 14 days. I wish I could be able to change the past.. -sighs- Caution! DO NOT buy acai berry it doesnt even work…!

  • jewels

I seen acai berry edge on rachael ray.Advertisment said free trial for 3.99.They cherged my account 79.00!To say the least I was pissed!I called my bank and changed my debit card so they could not charge me again and then I told them I never recieved the product(which I did)but they want to play dirty, bring it on!!!!

  • Fran Figurski

We just received our free trial – thank goodness I decided to look it up on line – Sure enough, the free trial is just the beginning of a on-going $78.00 plus regular charge to our credit card. Even calling the day of receipt of the “free” trial is turning into a nightmare and guess what!?! When we tried to cancel and send back our free trial, we were disconnected! This is unbelievable!!!!!

  • wendy

I too bought acai pure. recieved the product in the mail in 3 days. After reading your postings i wanted to see if i could cancel. I called the phone number given while ordering the product 1-866-964-1011, to my suprise a Karen Sylva answered the phone. I explained that i was not satisfied with their product and wanted to cancel. She put me on hold for about 2 minutes came back confirmed that their would be no future mailings and/or billings; but wanted me to pay $8.00 for the open bottle… good luck getting the money off of a prepaid credit card.

  • Stupid!!

    JUST DON’T DO IT!!!

  • Emma from UK

I wished id seen this website before ordering.

I sent for the free trial of $4.95 as soon as i ordered the product my card was charged with in 24 hours $25 US dollars which is aprox £17 english pounds. As soon as I saw this website I wanted to cancel. Been in the UK it is impossible to get through on the phone and would cost too much money so I replied to the order confirmation email they sent and said i would like to cancel. So I will have to see if I still recieve the free trial as now I have sent the email to cancel I might not but have still been charged. MY ADVICE TO YOU ALL IS CANCEL THE CREDIT CARD AND ORDER A NEW ONE!!!!

I also called my bank to cancel my credit card and order another one so no further payments can be taken.

  • kia

thanks to everyone who posted a comment on this site. I’m glad i found this before ordering anything. Good luck to everyone trying to lose weight.

  • Antia

Hi, I sympathise with all your comments and reviews. Yesterday, after seeing an ad for Acaiburn I decided to visit their site and I was lured by the claims of a 14 day free trial, no commitment necessary, so went ahead and placed my order. Just to do a bit of research and excited by the product abilities, I googled the company name and horrors of horrors, I found numerous chat rooms and blogs urging people not to fall for this scam. That’s when I called my bank explained the situation and email the company immediately. I thought I would be ignored, but the severity and seriousness of my email paid off. Today I had three email replies, from real people, Mark first to tell me my shipment had been cancelled, then Jesse to tell me my money will be refunded within the next 6 days and then Scott apologising for the delay in getting back and sorry to see me go, I even got an email address to go straight to a manager should the money not show in my account in the next week. I was surprised and relieved, so I urge anyone who wants to cancel their membership they do so immediately and with a stern email like this one: Dear Sir or Madam

After placing my order of the free trial period, I have read several reviews of your services in many blogs and I am extremely concerned with the comments I have read, lost shipments, not effective programmes, automatic charges. In view of all this, I’d much rather cancel my order now and be done with than go through the painful process of cancellation and hanging on the phone for hours that many of your customers have gone through. I regret that I have already been charged £17 for the shipping, I have already called my bank and credit card service and they are on the case, but I much rather loose that money than embark on a full on law suit with your company based on automatic charges that I cannot escape. Unless someone gets back to me with a full explanation and guarantees me this will not happen and my credit card will be left alone while I assess the effectiveness of the product, I WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL MY SHIPMENT TODAY AND WILL EXPECT NOT TO BE CHARGED FOR ANY FUTURE SHIPMENTS.

I have tried calling you on the number advised but I have been on hold for a long period of time and as I am a UK citizen this is prohibitive. I expect this email will be answered or I will get some kind of contact from a company representative.

    Thank you for your time.
Good luck everyone and I hope this email helps.

  • Sue U.K.

Yes,I have been conned too,but in my case it is more complicated.I did receive the free sample, but money continues to be taken from my account.I cancelled through my Credit Card company, who ‘phoned USA and put me through to a real person(as opposed to an recording).I was given a cancellation number. This was Dec.2008.I was assured that a refund would be made.(Breath is NOT being held!).Another payment was taken last month (Jan.),but by a different company ,so I contacted the Card people again.Repeat performance, call to USA where I spoke to a very Mexican sounding lady, who assured me that a refund would be made and gave me a cancellation number. She informed me that part of the terms and conditions, which I am said to have agreed to on signing up is that THREE yes THREE accounts are opened and that each one must be closed separately I have yet to see these t&c.She would not tell me how to close the third account,so presumably I have to wait until next month for yet another payment to be taken to find details of the third account.
Cancelling the Credit Card and opening a new account will not work ,”A credit card is a guaranteed method of payment” ,so the problem will merely be transferred to the new card!(Quote from the Credit Card people).
In short, the best thing is to go through the Disputed Transaction procedure with your card supplier,a hassle ,but there is not much else you can do.
I intend to contact the American Embassy, either the Citizen Services or the Commercial Section should be able to help. This appears to be an international scam,so if enough complaints are received from across the world ,maybe they will be closed down.Something needs to be done about these B*****ds and their operation shut down for good!!!

  • Sue U.K.

    Sorry,I meant “dishonest trading practices”!

  • sonique

about a months ago i started to order the product but changed my mind because i wanted to do a 30 day clense first. i did enter my info on their website but did not enter my credit card info. almost every day i get a phone call from acai(561-623-1403) trying to convince me to order their product. i keep telling them that i want to finish my 30 day clense…they’ve been calling me now for about three weeks straight. when they call me tomorrow i will tell them never to call me again. thank you all for this information.

  • DARBY

WELL PEOPLE NEXT TIME USE A PREPAID CREDIT CARD SO U WONT GET RIPOFF. THE BEST WAY TO LOSE WIEGHT IS TO DRINK ALOT OF GRAPEFRUIT JUICE AND ALOT OF WATER. NO FATENING FOOD TAKE THE FATS OUT. OH STRESS WILL DO IT TOO.

  • michelle

Hey guys just looking at the posts here Acai is a “NATURAL” herb. I get mine at the health food store and it works for me. Acai ultra by natures plus. Why spend 100s of dollars for gimmics online everyone that is into this acai diet should go to the healthfood store. Smater then destroying your account.

  • katie

Same here do not buy from these people had the same problem as eveyone who has posted a review above . You can never get in touch with them and they keep taking money from your card. I have cancell my card in the end and that has put a stop to the money going out to pay for things that I never asked for, and more so that I never recived.

  • Cancel it

When you buy any weight loss product READ THE SMALL PRINT. When they say “FREE TRIALS” you normally will get a free trial BUT as soon as you get your product, you need to call a certain number and tell them to cancel it. (you can find it in the small print)

You can keep that product but they wont charge anything on your credit card. If anything sounds to good to be true..its not. SO THEREFORE,read the print.
C’mon people, im in highschool and I know that.

People need to read all about a product before they purchase it, because the website will obviously lie to you,its propoganda.

  • shar

    Hi
I am taking the Acai Berry for about 3-4 months now and it is a good antioxidant. I feel like it is helping me but I have not lost weight even with a stringent workout schedule that I follow every day.
I purchased the Acai Berry at a vitaman supplement store and I have used several different brands and forms of it. One was the liquid and it is quite tasty.
I do feel it is a beneficial supplement to take so I will continue.
As for the flushing part of the diet, I haven’t tried the Body Flush or any of those advertised by Oprah and others, but I did the liquid Hollywood Diet which is the same concept of cleaning your system and followed it stringently for the 2 days required and it worked actually in reverse for me. I was constipated and bloated for a week after taking it and finally after getting back to some solid foods, I got back to a normal bowel movement.
So to sum it all up, there is no wonder pill out there that will take the pounds off so these types of diets that are hyped by celebrities are just that “HYPE”.

  • Fooled also

I ordered the Pure Acai Berry from Advanced Wellness Research, Inc. I thought that it was a free trial and just needed to pay shipping & handling. That is what the add says. They charged me $78.00. They gave me an address to return product to Nampa ID. I think it is time to get Gebherdt with the Salt Lake City news. The SLC news reaches several states so hopefully this scam can be put to a stop.

  • Debbie

Definate scam. I reported them to the FTC! They are not only scam artist, but the are rude scam artists. They hung up on me TWICE when I tried to get the charges taken off. I am returning what came in the mail today. We’ll see what I get credited. I am sure it won’t be much. They made me soooo angry!!!!

    DON’T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wendolyn

THANKS FOR THE FYI, MOST OF THE LADIES AT WORK WERE GOING TO ORDER IT BUT IT WAS LEFT UP TO ME TO CHECK THIS PRODUCT OUT. I am glad that I didn’t order it. My question is if the product is sold at the GNC will they give you your money back if the product doesn’t work?

  • Kenneth R.

SCAM! What can I say that has not already been said except for one important lie. Fearing this was a scam, I cancelled the order THE DAY THE “FREE” SAMPLE arrived. I figured that if it was good, I could always order it but did not want to be placed in a position of the seller claiming I did not adhere to some contract I never signed or agreement I never agreed to. When I called to cancel, the agent said “no problem, the order is cancelled and no charges will appear on my bank debit card”. That’s the lie. Not only did one charge for $58.95 appear, but (1) shortly thereafter, 3 bottles of the “dietary suppplement” arrived in the mail and (2) when I spoke to Bank of America today, I was told that the company had charged me another $58.95 BUT HAD NEITHER ORDERED ANYTHING NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING! The hubris and deceit of this company makes one leary of ever buying anything subject to a free trial basis if you have to give your credit card number. In the end, consumer transactions boil down to trust. Trust can be broken accidentally or it can be betrayed, like Mr. Madoff. BofA was not surprised and told me they had received countless complaints about the company selling Acai Burn so why does BofA continue to allow this company credit and debit card privileges? So far, BofA has been very helpful but until they cut off their business relationship with Acai Burn, where BofA profits from it, they are partly complicit in this SCAM!

To compound the misery, no telephone numbers are given on the package of the 3 bottles I received and BofA cannot credit my account without a tracking number. To make it that much more time consuming for people like me, the address on the bottle–and that’s the only address given anywhere, is in Canada but the 800 telephone number on my credit card statement is a US number. After another 30 minutes I finally got the US address dor ACAI Burn, without which I could not return the item and receive a TRACKING NUMBER from UPS and get my account credited from BofA.

For anyone else facing the same predicament, the address and phone number are as follows:

Tel No. for Acai Burn: 800-659-3588

    Address to return unordered products:

    Acai Burn
    Army Post Road Distribution
    3600 Army Post Rd.
    Des Moines, Iowa, 50321

I should have known better to fall for something “free”, just pay postage and handling. I ordered Acai on the internet and then received a call to confirm my address. By that time I had read about the Acai scam and told the caller to cancel my order and did not confirm my address. Sure enough here comes a bottle of Acai in the mail and P&H charged to my credit card. I called Acai and told them not to ship any more products. I immediately called my credit card and they said they have received thousands of complaints about the Acai promotion regarding continued big charges on their credit cards and inability to cancel. Two weeks later I receive an e-mail advising another order had been shipped. I called two different Acai numbers to again cancel any further shipments and charges and was met with more hype. My credit card just called me to report that TWO additonal charges from Acai had been posted to my account, this time big dollar charges. I hear Oprah has been embarrassed for promoting this scam. Most of these miracle diet instructions advise the plan works with diet and exercise. Duh !! All weight loss works with diet and exercise but people expect it to happen with some miracle pill.

I found this on a website called rifofreport.com. I called the Attorney General’s office and tell said to be added to the lawsuit you have to start by filling out a complaint form which can be done online.

I hope that everyone else who got scammed, like me, and who is pissed….LIKE ME……does the same.

    LAWSUIT PENDING
On December 29, 2008, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office filed a lawsuit against Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. (CCN) and its President and CEO Graham Gibson, which alleged violations of the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act and a pattern of deceptive practices in their online sales of their nutritional products. According to the complaint filed, CCN offered customers a “$1.00 risk free trial’ of one of several of their products. The total cost of the trial product, however, is $5.95 when shipping and handing charges are included. In the course of paying for the risk free trial, consumers are asked to provide CCN with credit card information. CCN then allegedly used the information to charge consumers for additional products and services the consumers did not request, including pre-selected “up-sell’ products that the consumer must actively de-select in the online order form to avoid being charged an additional $39.90. The suit alleges that consumers who sign up for the risk free trial are also deceptively enrolled in a free trial of Fit Factory, an online fitness and diet consultation service, as well as a “Lifestyle Program,’ a monthly shipment of the product they purchased on a trial basis. To avoid subsequent monthly charges of $29.95 or more for these monthly programs, consumers must contact Fit Factory or CCN to cancel their unwanted memberships, which they frequently learn about only after having been billed for them. Consumers who try to contact CCN to have unauthorized charges reversed have been faced with hold times of over an hour, and their e-mails often have received no response. CCN also is alleged to use confusing and contradictory language regarding the length of trial periods and the availability of refunds in its promotional materials and shipping invoices and also charges consumers the full price for a trial product before the trial periods have ended. The lawsuit seeks to stop CCN from engaging in the alleged unlawful practices and asks the company to pay $10,000 for each violation of the Consumer Fraud Act, provide full restitution to all consumers who were defrauded and reimburse the State for investigation costs and legal fees. Consumers who feel they have been the victim of consumer fraud by CCN should contact the Arizona Attorney General’s Office Consumer Information and Complaint division in Tucson at (520) 628-6504, in Phoenix at (602) 542-5763 or toll-free outside of Maricopa or Pima County at (800) 352-8431. The matter is pending.

I ordered the AcaiPure… I called and cancelled my “renewel” after reading this… I really wish I had done my research first. I still have only been charged the shipping and handling and I have contacted my bank and cancelled my card. These people are unreal… I also had ordered some Colon Cleanse.. And I called cancelled my membership with them as well.. I guess I was lucky I got someone right away on the phone with both people.. But I have cancelled my card and searched EBAY and they sell this stuff alot cheaper and without all the “hidden things”… So if I decide to order this again, it will be from ebay or GNC… Man these people are horrible.. I decided to order this because of Rachel Ray

  • Doris

I also read about the free offer for acai pure and ordered it. It truly does work well but as I was reading the reviews the next morning I realized that I would be charged a great deal of money. After being charged the $4.95 which they do a few minutes after you order, I changed my credit card number before they could put other charges on it. Actually it was a card that I wanted to cancel anyway. The best way to contact them is on live chat. I finally got them to answer three days later so I could cancel. If they charge my card anyway it won’t go through.

  • Rocky

I ordered the product from Pure Acai Berry. I received the bottle without any brochures or information on how this product should be taken. I called yesterday and spoke to someone who couldn’t understand English very well. ANYWAY, found out about the $78 charge that was going to occur and complained about false advertising and I did receive an RMA #. The Rep offered me 28 days FREE trial and then a charge – I asked WHERE IS THE FREE IN THIS TRIAL?? He didn’t understand my question. But of course, these customer service reps are in another country and don’t understand English that well. I called today to ask WHY there wasn’t any instructions on how to properly consume this product and suggested that this info be enclosed in each order. There are other sites that actually instruct you on how to properly take the capsules for best results. The Rep laughed at me like I was stupid and said we all know that you take medications with food. NOT A TRUE STATEMENT. ANYWAY, I just CANCELLED my credit card with the bank just in case these people attempt to charge my card before I return the product. I’m disappointed in the celebs that have their faces plastered all over these websites. I will be looking at the local GNC for a similar product that I can purchase on MY terms not on an autoship program!

  • S IN NE

I too ordered the “free trial” of ACAI PURE. After receiving it and another item I DID NOT order that they charged me 42.00 for I realized the scam and promptly went through the long process of cancellation. Now, nearly 3 mos. and $132.00 later, I think I have it all taken care of. I never did return any product and did give it a try. I noticed nothing except bloating and gas. BIG MISTAKE!!

  • Mary

Has anyone thought of contacting the better buisiness breau.

  • linda

You should all be ashamed that you fell for a free offer. Go to the nearest local health food store and buy the same thing for a lot less.

  • Julee Bradford

I order Acai, I received it also with abottle of Hodo water. I called the company and after a 45 min wait I talked to someone. I told her that I didn’t order it. She told me to return it. I retuned it one day after I received it.This was 11/19/08. I did not receive a creit for the Hodo water.I called on 01/04/09, the gentleman who answered said they had just received the product back that day. He told me that I would not get a refund. I told them I had a tracking #,and I am still waiting. Is there someone I could call or write to try and get my money back?.

  • Mags (Barca)

Re AcaiBurn, they have a good online support team who check your detail, answer your questions and provide advice. Being concerned over different articles I have read,I have already ultised this facility a few time. They provide contact numbers refer you to the T&C which actually tells a lot about how the charges will be applied. They have even provided me with dates and as to how much my cc will be debited with. They say at the end of the online correspondence,if you want proof of the conversation click on the send to your email button and a copy of the correspondence is sent to you email address.
I can´t really comment I´mafraid on the effect as I had the product shipped to UK as they dont provide service to Spain. Shipment arrived in 6 days, which I think is good.It hasn´t however taken over 8 days to get from UK to me in Spain although I know it arrived in Spain 5 working days ago. I know I amlkely to be charged in the next 7 days for my multipack which means I have enough time to cancel, although I will wait til mid week.Trying 2 see the effect of Acaiburn in alimited period before cancelling. I will update again eitherway

  • Gerry

Please stay away from Acai Berry Detox and Life Cleanse.FWM Laboratories and Dew Laboratories scammed for $354.00 and didn’t get sample to even try it. I am in the process of sending it back and only received parts of their shipment. I am returning that they have to sign for return receipt. I am seriosly thinking of getting an attorney who will handle this and also contacting the ic3.gov which handles cyber frauds and scams (It’s the FBI) we need people to contact them. I hope this helps you too.

  • Jenn

Well at least I am not the only one I fell victum of colon cleance and acliburn. When looked at my bank account I saw the shipping charge and was like great if it works I will buy another bottle. 2 weeks later two charges of 59.95 and 88.78 twice. I was shocked called and cancelled 1 week later they chaged another 59.95 and 88.78 AFTER I cancelled! I then just looked at my account on the 6th of FEB and another charge of the same amount, I finally went to the BANK had to CANCEL my CARD and disputing all cahrges I SO WISH I SAW THIS BEFORE I ORDRED SCAM SCAM and it all started 01/16th the very first charge. DO NOT GET SUCKED IN THEY WILL TAKE UR MONEY and now I am out $387.00 in a matter of not even 1 month.

  • KAREN

    Hi
Yes I got caught as well with ACAI BERRY – but trying to cancel or contact has been hard. What email address do we send cancelation notices to?
I’v tried all their sites but can’t get an email address which goes directly to them to cancel my Credit Card.
I’v also told my Bank of this Fraud and now have loads of forms to fill out. I hope this works and I can get the deductions stopped.

  • Elizabeth

I never tried pure acai. But all these diet pills they are not good for anybody. Heart beats fast, headaches, and they can even be fatal. Best diet is to eat less and work out there isn’t no magic pill. Lots of water eating fruits, vegetables, lean meats chicken, fish, whole grains and healthy fats. No wonder some give up on diets you can eat this you cant have that low carb, atkins, or what ever diets they come out with complex carbs are great. Stay away from the white stuff. But than it’s ok to have those thing once in a while in moderation. Pills its a no no

  • Mary

Some how I got on several DIFFERENT sites and received several different products. I spent part of Thursday calling requesting they STOP charging me for the product and also Cancelling shipment. I now have at least one bottle of AcaiPure from a company in Florida. Then there is Extreme AcaiBerry. One comnpany
sent a package of Hoodiburst gum — 12 pieces. And one of these WONDERFUL companies, included a bottle that had a dropper with it which, I suppose was so one would add whatever the liquid was, into a class of water.
I did finally get information to return at least one box to the shipping location with a return number on it.
As I needed to get out of the house not longer after these nasty calls, I only had time to send an email to my state, Illinois, attorney general reporting the fraudulent advertising. I received a very quick response from that office, but I have to read the letter again as I believe they are asking for information which I cannot provide them. And I had one
really terrible contact with someone at the phone number given for customer service. The foreign sounding woman told me they “Were not allowed to give
out information that would include the number for the office where ever the headquarters may be located. And as far as I could tell, there is no way to speak to
someone who is really with the main office of the company. I will be watching my credit card statements as well as my debit card, as I am will not be certain which I may have used to place the orders.
On another product that arrived one day last week, which I had immediately called the company and told them I did not want it, I was told they could not stop the shipment, but that I was to call once I received the package and would be given a number to write on the package and that I should mark it refuse. This was NOT, a AcaiBerry related product, but it was something to do with women’s health. So, there is more than one type of scam out there at the present time.
So, PLEASE DO NOT FALL OR ACCIDENTALLY HIT A SEND KEY FOR ANYTHING THAT APPEARS IN YOUR MAIL BOX!! I think I have now set my email so that I have blocked most items.
BUT PLEASE, DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMS. AND AS SOMEONE ELSE SAID, CHECK WITH SUCH PLACES AS GNC. THEY MIGHT BE MORE AGREE ABLE FOR ACCEPTING RETURNS.
And I think what this comes down to, is there are no QUICK FIXES.

  • Kate

Scammed, when you hit send the next thing you see is quickly a charge for membership,it is very unclear, not explained. This is such a rip-off, you pay to have products shipped back, then are told you need tracking number, with or without it they still won’t give you your money back, you need to cancel your credit card and get a new number. Hopefully more people will see this and not fall for this scam…………

  • Anonymous

hey i order acai berry and got scam to i ordered the free trial really it was not free 65.00 dollars later i have not open the bottle i would like to return it but they told me i can not so iam out money

  • kym

please people beware they are sending you the products late on purpose as they did me. here’s why they do that the free trial is 14 days what they don’t tell you it is 14 days from the time you call and place your order. so once you receive your product in a month you have been charged for the 14 day trial plus money for a new supply. he is my advise once you notice one wrong charge don’t call them to cancel immediatley call your bank or credit card company and CANCELL your card don’t wait the longer you wait the harder to get your money back

  • Corina

    Hi
I thought we were suppose to be giving a review for Acai…has anyone actually used it? I bought a bottle from a health store, to early for any results.

  • Antia

    Hi everyone
Well to my surprise, refer to my previous post on feb 2nd, they have actually followed through with their reassurances, my card has been refunded and there will be no extra charges. I have had 4 different REAL people coming back to me from customer support reassuring in all instances by written confirmation that the money is in my account and no further payments will be deducted, correspondence which has been cc to my bank. My advice to everyone is that you don’t try to call them, you email them a very stern message, saying how many reviews you have read that say their scheme is a scam and that before you embark on a full on law suit you’ll rather they cancelled your oder with immediate effect and that means no more shipments or auto charges. This was very effective on my case and I urge everyone who has just placed an order of free trial to do write to them as soon as they realise this is a scam. Good luck!

  • emma

im so glad i read all your reviews before i got myself into this stupid scam myself i did actually see somethin wrong when i cliked the next page and it told me i would have to pay $19.99 instead of the $4.99 it had promised before so thought well sack that its prob a scam and now with all your comments it seems i was completely right not to try it out, i do feel sorry for all you guys who have been conned into this pathetic scam though. they are seliing this product in other places like ebay but the real question is does this really work as no 1 seems to have commented on it actually working for them and although i did not get conned into the trial offer 1 im actually quite tempted to try this out on ebay but if this doesnt work then id rather not so does anybody anywhere honestly know if this works or not????????????

    PROBLEMS HERE TO :
LISTEN TO THIS , ORDERED PRODUCT .. DIDN’T RECIEVE IT .
TRIED TO CANCEL, ALREADY BILLED SAME DAY . FOR “ACAI BERRY EDGE “. $ 34.95 . WENT TO THIS WEBSITE ,SEEN ALL THE COMPLAINTS ON HERE . CALLED THEM AND SAID , I DID NOT WANT IT . THEY SAID I HAVE NO CHOICE . THAT I AGREED TO THE PURCHASE , SO THEY WILL BE SENDING OUT ANOTHER ONE . I CALLED MY C.C.COMPANY TO CANCEL MY CARD.
WHICH THEY DID , EXPECTING A NEW CARD ANY DAY .
WHAT I DID NOT KNOW , WAS THAT COMPANY , CAN PUT THE CHARGE RIGHT BACK ON YOUR NEW CARD,WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING THE NUMBER . I DID NOT KNOW THAT , IF I HAD ,I WOULDN’T HAVE CANCELED OUT MY OLD NUMBER ,WHIOH I WAS USED TO .
SINCE ALL THIS HAS HAPPENED I E-MAILED THE B.B.B. IN
COLORADO AND FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THEM .
WHEN I RECIEVED MY ORIGNAL CONFORMATION FROM THEM ON-LINE . IN BOLD PRINT IT SAYS “RETURN TO SENDER/REFUSED PACKAGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED “. WHICH I PRINTED OUT .
I CALLED THE POST OFFICE TO INQUIRE WHAT THAT MEANT .
THE P.O. SAID IT MEANS THAT THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT THE PACKAGES BACK . NOW DON’T THAT JUST FROST YOUR GIZZARD.

  • emma

does acai berry really work though despite the scams does any 1 know if this has helped them lose weight or anythin it is said to do?????

  • Jan

I hope this will be a lesson learned for all of us who thought there was a magic pill somewhere out there that would erase the weight that we’ve gained due to causes only we know for sure. Inactivity, over-eating, depression and work related stress (or the lack thereof) was the culprit for me. I’ve discovered that the solution has to start with me being determined to do something about my problem, stop allowing myself to be ripped off by these weight loss scams that I for some reason believe will help me, when the only thing that happens is I end up more frustrated trying to run my hard earned money down and running my blood pressure up. Let’s determine within our selves that with GOD nothing is impossible; Even getting our money back!!!!! Pray Hard and Stay Strong. Love you in the LORD

  • Kathy

I researched this for many hours this is what you need to see…..Check the label. There are many inferior Acai berry products on the market now. If it doesn’t say freeze-dried on the label, you know it is not. Also, look for ORAC values. The higher it is, the more care was taken in harvesting and processing the berries. Higher quality products will also list the amounts of Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids on the bottle. This is not a free trail, no tax or S&H just $37.00 for one bottle (120 cap) nothing else would be charged on your cc. go to http://www.Acaiberrysite.com. All the scams out there are not nothing to do with Oprahs website. She eeven states this in her webite. Which her lawyers are working on this. I am looking forward in trying this product. I hope I helped you all out there, too many people got scamed into paying too much money and hassels. Good luck…..Kathy

  • Patricia

I also ordered pure acai berry from a company called Advanced Wellness Research. They are in Miami,Fl.When I called to cancel they gave me the run around and said there computers were down to call back in 30 minutes.still cant get no where with them.so I called my bank and told them what was going on and they canceled my debit card and sending me a new one.So they can’t get any more money. And can kiss my big berther.

TO EVERY 1 WHO LOOKS ALL OVER THE NET AND THESE DADT FREE TRIAL SITES IN SEARCH OF THE ACAI BERRY PLEASE STOP!!!!!!!!

these sites are charging an absolute fortune for the acai berry capsules and also offering free trials when really its not going to be a free trial your going to be paying through your eye balls for as long as they can keep charging your credit and debit cards i too nearly got caught up in the free trial offer untill i decided that the only people you can really trust over these kind of things are your local health stores so i rang mine and enquired about the acai berry, and they told me that lots of people have been in buying them and coming back to store for more with good feedback about the new weight loss pill and she also kindly told me she would order me some in and there would be 60 capsules of acai berry for the lovely price of £10.99. so im sure this price sounds much better to all you fellow dieters than paying the scandalous prices that sites on the net are wanting you to pay. hope this helps every1 who seems to be gettin lured into the free trial offers. ;o)

  • Jo-Ann

Okay, can’t read all the reviews, however, seems as though the issues are all the same. Ordered Acai Pure but still haven’t used it. I did cancel all subsequent orders so I’ll have to be sure I don’t get charged. No problem in getting the product or calling to cancel my automatic order.

Has anyone used more than one product at at time. I’ve been using Acai Ultra Burn, received this product before Acai Pure, but the Ultra Burn doesn’t seem to be doing anything for me. Can I finish this product and take the Acai Pure at the same time until the Ultra Burn is gone?

By the way, with the Ultra Burn, I did get charged for an automatic order because I failed to realllllly read the agreement. So I’m stuck for that one.

If someone can give me an answer to combing both products it would be greatly appreciated

  • Stella

Well..for me it has given me the energy I lacked, I feel better now then in years..I have only been taking it for about a wk,,but am sure it is working and will inform all when I see the result..but for all info..you can get agai..at puritans pride online..buy one get one free, including the colon flush..I got mine,,two months supply of each..under $40…ck them out..they gurantee also..good luck

  • Linda

I too was scammed by ACAI PURE. Signed up for the 4.95 free trial and was charged 44.85 then 2weeks later was charged 39.95, then a month later I was charged the 44.85 again. I called them up asking them what all the
charges were for, some guy screamed at me, told me he would give me a refund and then hung up on me!! I was so
shocked I started laughing hysterically! Next month no
refund, called again, nicer guy answered, said I had never returned the product and the free trial is only for 14days, but you cant return anything this is open.

SO HOW DO YOU TRY IT THEN???

  • Linda

No it does not help you lose weight, I couldnt even tell the difference when I took it or not.

  • Normie

I to got ripped off with the free offer. I called the number everyday before work and left messages to cancel this Acai Berry. Finally I got a hold of someone and they finally talked to me and I cancelled. My friends at work bought it as well no weight loss and money out of their cards. I hope this might help others not to buy this.

  • Margaret Dixon

I am shocked at such negative remarks about this product since it was endorsed by OPRAH – Apparently she isn’t using the product she tells us to use! What gives?
Also directions on bottle say 1 first night, 2 second night, 3 third night, leaving one to believe from then on you take 3 each night. I encourage the producers of this product to follow those directions. Serious problems there, folks! Note on the other remarks there are so many different instructions as to how many to take. Please get this straight. Very dangerous!

  • Margaret Dixon

Is your product in just one bottle labeled:
AcaiPURE All Natural Acai Cleanse? Very comfusing to not call it the same thing each time a commercial is given.

  • Patti Stepp

Ditto to all of the above, this is the biggest scam ever, Oprah and Rachel Ray should not only tell this to their viewers but owes the public an apology. AOL which allowed the advertisements should also warn the public…Shame on Acai Berry and shame on Oprah, Rachel and AOL

  • Wanda

I started to apply on line for the acai berry offer and stopped before giving my credit card info, however, they somehow got my phone number. the first time they called, I told them I did not want to order this stuff and that is why I did not give my card number on line and stopped with the order. they have called me back a dozen or so time since and I will not answer. This is a total scam of people’s money. Don’t be fooled.

  • irma dela cruz

i just want to cancel my membership, and i dont want to receive any more shipments from your company. i tried to call you thru phone, but i can’t contact you thru e-mail.i hope you will remove my name from the auto ship list.

  • sarah

I ordered acaiberry detox on 1/3/09 cancelled it on 1/13/09 within the trial period. They gave me a cancelation # and I thought that was it. 1 wk. later I got the prouduct anyway. I called them to complain. Spoke to people that I dont believe hardly speak english and they couldnt find my acct! They said billing would contact me via my email.Never happened.
the following wk. I received another bottle. Same story,
Cant find the acct. or the cancelation# either. Still no response from billing dept. Week 3 another bottle of pills and statement from the bank for three withdrawls for the product and 4.95,and a withdrawil for 88.13 for the next autoship! Called them AGAIN,Same story line.I,m at my witts end with these scammers.Weird they cant find the acct.to cancel, but magiclly find it for billing !2/3/09 I contacted the bank. They are contacting Visa and are working on stopping this, and temp. credited my acct. closed out the acct. and got a new one. Hope this nightmare is over.. By the way, they also advertise under FWM laboratories,Healthy Labs,Lipaphen-RX,acaiberry Cleanse,Life Cleanse, and Cologenix 1-866-949-0138

  • Gil Daugherty

I was unable to contact you by telephone. I wish to cancel any and all future shipments. My VISA card holder has been instructed not to honor any future charges.

  • pauline

this is a disgusting scam how can these people be allowed to carry on doing this .there is no access to anything to send a reply once they take ur credit card details they all say the same do u have an email confirmatuon which they make sure they dont send how silly to even think of putting our trust and money in their hands

  • Stefanofam

Once again the American public has been purged of their hard earned money! Please tell everyone you know not to partake in the free offers to try acai products for the cost of shipping and handling! These companies are not reputable. If they were they would not charge you $88.62 & $2.22(international postage) in addition to the shipping and handling charge of $5.95 & $.15(international postage)you already paid if you did not cancel withing 15 days on a product it takes the company 14 days to send to you. Maybe I’m daffed but $97.04 for 60 capsules made from berries & tea, shipped from where? is a bit much! If anyone out there knows how to bring this company down, please let me know! A company who is reputable does not have to resort to these underhanded practices if there product can truely do what they say it does. This is the thanks the consumer gets for trying out a new product!

  • karen

I too ordered the free trial from Natures Acai Berry…AND after pressing send,I went back and read the fine print where I found out that I had agreed to enroll in 2 extra services…i immediately called the 800 numbers for the services and cancelled and INSISTED that I be given CONFIRMATION NUMBERS FOR MY CANCELLATION.I then called the Customer Service Number for Natures Acai and reached someone(probably in the Phillipines) and cancelled any agreements for the autoshiping…..Then I called my credit card company and told them that I am not authorizing any charges from Natures Acai….DEFINITLY READ THE FINE PRINT AND THE WHOLE PAGE BEFORE AGREEING TO PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT…What really dissapoints me,is that no matter how far along we advance and evolve as human beings,we can’t seem to shake the GREED FLAW….that we as humans have, built in our DNA….that produces SCAMMERS and NON-INTEGRITY actions….We have so much more potential than other creatures to move beyond the eat and be eaten scenario……GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!

  • Kathie

Not just the American public, sadly all over Europe has been hit with these scams. I too researched for a reputable company on the web,and applied for the free trial acaiburn. Two weeks later I received a product called Wu-Yiburn ! and nothing included to say who or where it was from and no information pack. I read the instructions on the container of this Wu-yiburn product and found “do not take if you have a cardio-vascular condition of the heart” along with other do’s and don’ts. I do have a heart condition so they were duly returned, accompanied with a ‘not so nice’ letter. I still await a reply. Thankfully my bank is treating this as fraud and details have been changed. So to all of you out there please do NOT consider going to ANY site for this acai berry (which is porbably a very good product)No site for this product is trustworthy.

  • CB

I fortunately have not decided to purchase yet. I was leery because of the fact I have looked at several sites. I noticed a trend. They use the same pictures of the same woman, but with different names. I know this is a business but come on at least use different pictures. Also I’ve noticed all these people miracisly all live in the town I live in. Which is kinda small(only 8,300 people) and I happen to work at the local market. So I’ve seen or meet lots of our locals.

  • lyly

the acai free trial, please read carefull about the term, they got free trial with the shipping is 4.95 but read carefull about their term we have to cancel on 14 day from the day we ordering ( not event 30 day for free full trial) if we not canceling we got pay 78.81 for that bottle trial. I just got bill and they told me that go back to read at the term ^^!
    Advanced Wellness Research, Inc.
    Customer Care Team
    1-866-964-1011
    and the website http://www.trypureacaiberry.net/step01.aspx

PLEASE try to read their Terms and Conditions carefull before you guy order so won’t get in up like me.
Anyway it’s said diet pill but it wasn’t working for me i end up gain weight because make me hungry + sleeppy all the time

  • Stupid Me

And I am old enough to know better, but I got took, too. They tried to call twice, but coomes up UNKNOWN on caller ID and no message left. When I ordered, they cut me off because I had gone over the 3 1/2 minute time limit so how was I supposed to have time to read the fine print—-Duh—-that was the whole idea. They still managed to send the order even tho I had not completed the form. The package the pills came in had no invoice or packing order. I had read about Acia in a Health Newsletter, if you can imagine so thought it was worth a try.
I have cancelled my credit card and hope that takes care of things, but seriously doubt it after reading all these comments.

  • Debbie, SC

I just got off the phone with a rep for Acai- and they pulled the same scam with me. I also ordered the free trial…a month later 44.90 was charged to my Visa. I called to cancel the order and stop the automatic shipments. The rep said okay, cancelled my order and said no other shipments would be charged or shipped. Well, my Visa bill just came today with another $44.90 charge. The rep tried to tell me this was for the 2nd shipment I recieved. The charge last month was for the “free” trial, since I kept it. Sad news..I never even opened the bottles. There are so many other better products out there that don’t try to scam consumers.

  • Noel

DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MONEY TO BE STOLEN! I too have been duped into thinking that tis particular company would be legitimate. I have

  • Noel

DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE HAVING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ‘STOLEN’ OUT FROM UNDER YOUR NOSE.
I too have fallen victim to this scam. My bank has had to cancell my debit card!
This is the phone number I have used to talk diectly to a representative, and believe me when I say, my conversations were ‘not’ pretty!

    1-866-950-2021

This number probably goes to the Phillipeans but I don’t care. They ‘did’ have my information by the way, and promised to refund my money, all $189.14. They removed my money from my checking account without ‘ever’ sending one pill! The theft, and that is what it is, was commited on two seperate occasion, with barely a week between withdrawels.

The address for this particular scam is:
    127 N W 13th Street
    Suite 4
    Boca Raton, Fla. 33432

I have contacted the Attorney General of Florida, and Better Business, and filled complaints.
Please do the same. Good luck!
With all of us banding together, we Americans will be able to wipe out this type of theft, and will NEVER give out our private information again!

  • sofia

Thanks, to all. I to ordered. Read the reviews for acai pure. I got scared and canceled my free trail just in matters of ordering the product. I called 1 866 964 1011, got through right away. They cancled my order, they also gave me a cancleation # in case there any problem with further billing.
Let me know if pure acai berry actually worked for anyone. Good-luck to all in any type of weight loss.

  • Mark, La Verne

I, like everyone else was duped with the $4.95 offer
to try the product. Then received a credit card statement with more charges. It is illigal for any
business to charge your card without notification.
America does not need anymore lies, greed and diseption.
I will be adding my complaint to the Arizona Attorny
    General. Phoenix 602-542-5763, Tucson 520-628-6504.
All the money should be returned and every cent the
president has should be divided up,then who-ever
participated needs to be arrested and jailed.

  • duped

I too got ripped off by this outfit(unauthorized charges on my debit card), but more importantly…..may have had a heart attack! O.M.G.

I thought since Dr. Oz promoted this product on Oprah and other shows, it should be safe. I had severe chest pains on 2 occassions after taking the Acai Berry.

It took my husband to finally speak to a supervisor and get our card credited and the order canceled!

  • Marilyn

I ordered the free trial and a month later I was charged
88.62 on my Visa. The sad news is that I haven’t received any more Acai since I got the “free” trial.
I just talked to a representive and was told the “free”
trial was for just 15 days and if I didn’t cancel within
that 15 days I am being charged the $88.62. Some “free”
trial offer. What a rip off! I will definitely pass this on to everyone I know so that they will not fall for such a lie.

  • Lynne

How do we stop this from being taken out of my account i received my free trial and never authoriazed to have any more taken my account has been charged 59.99 and and the number i called has been disconnected. we need to find out how to stop this Please somebody help

  • Lynne

just got off the phone with the people from this #800-659-3588 and the charge that was to my account for 59.95 was for the free-trial since i did not notify them of cancellation and did not return so it was not a free trial what a ripoff and lie.

  • Diamond, IL.

Just so u all know, youre not alone! I ordered pure acai from this company and a different one…i never got the product from this one, however i did get the other, but it was billed twice on my statement plus a fee of 1.00 for foreign purchase the lines are always busy and another .15 for some wierd fee. So i am covered, I ordered it with a pre-paid debit visa. So no more money for them IT’S EMPTY! S U P R I S E!!!! Do not ever order from the Advance Wellness Research.com that’s where I got my stuff and everyone else is complaining too. Yes! Oprah endorsed that one too and Rachel Ray. After all folks it’s TV. Do you really think celeberties are gonna care or realize if we the people are gonna get ripped off? My advise if it’s connected to TV stay away. I know a doctor with the plan that works! I lost 99 lbs. no pills unless u really want them, but limited on what u can eat. But in the long run is worth it. His name is Dr. Gupta in the nutrition centers in Rockford, IL. He can help u but be prepared to pay @ 220.00 for your first visit. I stopped after 1 visit for that reason but it would’ve been easier if I had gone back. Now if u got insurance it may be way less. That was in 2003. I may have to go back after an illness i gained all my weight back. Bottom line if it seems to be a scam, stay away. The only way to go is proper diet and exercise. The pills i did get from pure acai, i am taking them and dont see anything yet, but it’s only been day 2.

  • Diamond, IL.

Buy the way, the pure acai from wellness research team, has multiple phone numbers and good luck if u did order and lose weight.

  • Connie, PA

you can get simular results by drinking Lipton’s white tea with the bluberries and pomigranite. I drink 2 cups a day and i got the green tea too. When i get hungry i drink black pearl tea with sugar and it takes the edge off.

  • What a discrace!

I hate the thought of all these companies taking advantage of everyone it is bad enough we struggle to lose weight but to rip people off like that is awful.
Thanks to everyone posting your complaints it has prevented me from being ripped off. Thanks! I hope you all get your money back and you should all email Opera and rachel ray and let them know they may be able to do something as it is there name at stake. Good luck!

  • Dee

Thanks to all of you I will NOT be ordering it. I appreciate you guys letting people know about this acai crap! Besides you can get other products from your local department store that does just about the same.. just read the label. anyways, THANKS!!!

  • Jessica

So…I am goint to South America and was wondering what to look for in the product so I can buy it over there. Thanks so much for all the postings. I wa about to buy one of those free trials and thought it was too good to be true so I did some more web surfing but I still think that the berry has some good qualities. I bought a bottle of it at GNC and I’ll post my results in a couple of weeks.

  • thelma Western australia

  • MERLINE,BOS ON FEB 22,1009

  • Barbara

Is it true what these people are saying about your product that it is a scam? Please let me know if it is true I mean what these other people are saying. Because my brother is concerned that this product is a waste of money. I am just courious because when I saw your product I couldn’t believe what some people are saying because when I saw your product and saw that it did more things for your body than weight loss I thought it was wonderful that something this good could help keep your body healthy. I just want to be sure so that I am not making a mistake. Because if it is a mistake and I am wasting my money than I want to cancel right now and get my money back. I do not not want to be one of the ones scammed. Thank you

  • Sylvie

I think you’re all just too lazy to read where it CLEARLY tells you that they will be charging you unless you cancel. They even give you the phone numbers on the site, and even on the confirmation, to cancel. I use Acai Burn, and so far so good. No complaints. And I have the phone numbers in a place where if ever i do chose to cancel, I can.

  • Alexandria

I got the Acaiburn, which I don’t see as being much different since they are working the same scam. I was stupid to read all these reviews AFTER I had already ordered the free sample. I received the product on time, but the day I got I called to cancel any further shipment. The woman said that I would still be charged an extra 15 dollars because I got a 30 day supply and the sample is only for 14 days. Well joke is on her since I paid with a prepaid credit card. But we’ll see if they try to bill me anyways. I only have $5.00 on the card but I plan to spend that before the trial is over.

  • Nancy Larson

I have had the same experience as many posting comments. Cancelled the shipments – still they are sending and charging for what I believe is a worthless product. I have notified my credit card company and hope they can remove the charge from my account. I hope that I don’t have to cancel my credit card. What a scam this is – my question to anyone reading is what can be done to these people. I started just wanting to try the product. Free sample – what a joke. Instead of getting something for nothing I paid alot for nothing.

  • Peg A.

SCAM!!! I am 60 years old and have never been scammed until now. I ordered this for the 3.95 shipping, period. there was no information that you would be charged 87.13 shortly afterwards. I cancelled my card with the bank and am disputing the charge – I called the company this morning and got someone who barely spoke English and they said they would have the “refund” department get back to me. Yeah, right. I am hopefully going to get a provisional credit from the bank and they will go after the company. The phone number I used is 1-866-949-0138 and I did get someone on the other line. BUYER BEWARE!!!

  • acai lover

how about you go and buy it in a whole food store ? it did it for me

  • Roe-Cincinnati Ohio

Thanks you all for your comments. I read each one of them and they were all the same: rip-off, scam, ineffective! I can’t afford to give any more of my money away to these companies! A chemist friend I once dated stated:people get hooked on these so-call diet fad pills, just to have the company exchange some of the pills for sugar pills. What do you think about that!

  • anne

can u please tell me where i can buy these acai pills here in canada?

  • Zoey

I am so sorry to hear all of these people have been scammed. Shame on these companies for taking advantage of people that are struggling with a weight problem. Being overweight can be devastating enough without having this added to the stress. I have battled weight gain all my life. There is NO magic solution. You need to get your health checked….eat properly and in the right proportions, and get adequate exercise. I hope everyone that is scammed informs their Better Business Bureau. I also think that since the mail is being used the postal service should be informed. This is against the law. REMEMBER…If it sounds too good to be true…..it probably is! Usually nothing is totally free. Good luck to all!

  • CRYSTAL

I ordered this product over a week ago and when i didn’t receive it with in a week I started wondering. I googled this product and this website with the scam information came up. Oh man!! I called immediately after reading the PAGE AFTER PAGE report of people who have also been scammed. I did get through to a customer service person. I canceled the product, demanded a conformation number, phone number, sales person name, and ID #. This company kept telling me that they CAN cancel further orders but until I receive the product and return it, the $44 will still be taken out. Great that the last thing I need. I then called my CC company to inform then of the possible charges. CC company said they can do anything until the actual charge comes up on my statement, then I can dispute that charge. So we will see how this all plays out. I COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY agree with everyone that has spoken of class actions lawsuits, and better business bureau. I think we should all unite to bring these ba%&$ds down!!!!

  • Anne

I’ve used Acai Burn for 3 weeks now and will admit my appepite is greatly reduced. However, I haven’t lost a pound. I can’t even say my clothes fit differently. I’ve been exercising daily but no change.

  • pingita

i never order these products because of all the scam comments that i have read. instead i went to the health food store and purchased acai for $20 this is a 1 month supply bottle and a colon cleanse product that was recommended by their experts which costed me $20 and i have seen quiet a bit of results in just 1 week. my belly is slimming down. please dont be cheated out of your money. i have learned my lesson i also got scammed by turbo dance workout they send you the first video and continue to charge you like a monthly membership and this did not work. i went through hell to get this canceled hope this info helps someone else

  • Megizmoe

Howdy everyone you nee to get as much information on them like try to call them and ask about purchase throught the mail because you have no credit cards and see if you can get a address and name of the product and contact your local ATTORNEYS GENERAL OFFICE FOR THERE STATE AND THEY CAN HELP YOU ALL OUT

  • Elaine

I like acai berry and will continue to take it. BUT when I forgot to cancel my subscription I was charged 86.00 for one bottle of capsules and the same amount for colon cleanse. They don’t tell you the price until it comes out on your statement. I went to GNC and got the capsules for 14.99 and colon cleanse for the same amount. It’s outrageous for these people to charge such price’s and I think it should be outlawed. Again, I will continue to use the acai but wil purchase them from GNC.

  • Beverly

Oh my goodness! I too was scammed by this Pure Acai Berry. I saw debit on my statement for 78.34 and knew I was only suppose to pay the 4 bucks for shipping. I tried to call these fools 5 times and each time I was put on hold with this LOUD music and then when someone finally did pick up I could hear a conversation in some foreign language. I kept saying hello, hello but it was like they could not hear me. I think the phone answered automatically and they did not realize I could hear them. That went on for 3 more attempts each time hearing a conversation but with no one saying anything to me. I got scared thinking I have given my debit card info to con artists. I finally got to my office this morning and emailed them and they sent me a msg about that 15 day period b.s. which I did not see on my invoice. Anyway I am out the 78.34 and I am going right to my bank and cancel my card because they are so sleezy I know they will probably keep charging me. By the way the Acai stuff they sent is junk. I took it everyday and did not feel any different. These people are foreigners who have figured out how to rip us off. They are probably in Bangladesh somewhere. This is bad, bad, bad don’t buy PURE Acai Berry!!!

  • Kristy – Wisconsin

I was also scammed. I called on the 15th day after my order was first placed to cancel and was charged $87.13 anyways on that same day. Apparently in the fine print it states your trial period starts when you order the product and you have to pay for the free trial if you do not cancel within the 14 days. I missed that fine print. I found out that information from my bank. And there’s no point in contacting the company @ 866-949-0138. The operator will tell you they will file a report with their refund department. And when I asked to speak to their refund department, they said the obly way I could contact them was to email them. I emailed them and did receive a response. They told me a report had been submitted. I replied and have received no response. It has been over a week. I don’t expect to get any kind of a refund. I guess in their world free means (I’ll stick it to you later!)

  • Marie – Belfast

Do not sign up for this product. It is a total rip off!

I signed up for a 14 day trial for $4.95 it cost $29.95 and I received a 30 day supply – I didn’t realise until my credit card bill came in I was charged $59.95 and 2 seperate web transaction fees into the bargain! My credit card company are looking into it for me. The tablets don’t work anyway.

I phoned 0800680 0623 and was put through to someone in USA who said I was signed up for monthly supplies even though I didn’t ask for them at the time, I have been told to return them for a refund – I won’t hold my breath because I think this has to be one of the worst scams ever.

  • Theresa

I seen on line to submit your credit card number and you will recieve a free bottle of acaiblast for less than $5.00. Once I read, “submit card number” I know not to do that, for I am parnoiod by nature.

I found super acaiblast last night at GNC for an amount of $25.00. I would like to hear from another person out there if this product really works and between diet and exercizing I will see the pounds shed off quickly.

I diet and exercize at a gym and have not lost 1 pound, (I can starve myself for days and still will not loose 1 pound, instead I will gain 2 pounds), therefore, I am hoping that with the pill included I will begin to loose the pounds.

    Thank you.

  • Laura

I ordered the acai berry. It didn’t come until 2 weeks and 2 days later. I called to cancel and they said you need to cancel in two weeks. I told them I just got the stuff yesterday. He said they would refund my $87.13. I would get an email in 24 to 48 hours telling me I recieved the refund. It has been 3 weeks and 3 phone calls later. The last time a ripped them a good one over the phone. Didn’t get my money back, but it made me feel a little better. I had to cancel my card so the a-holes wouldn’t take any more money from me.

  • kylie

thanks for sharing your bad experiences , this has spared me the trouble of going through the same, I was about to order but decided to read the reviews first.

  • Cathy

Bought Amazon Thunder acai capsules (60 for $24.95). Great metabolism boost, but don’t take them too late at night, you might not sleep. I didn’t even realize I GOT a boost until my husband finally told me to quit cleaning, walking, working and take a darned break! (I’m the preverbial couch potatoe!) Only been a week, lost 4 lbs. Since GNC offers pure acai for $14.95, I’ll definitly restock from them!!

  • Susan – North Carolina

I, too, was scammed. They DO NOT offer a free trial. One bottle of this stuff costs almost $80. I advise people to not be fooled into buying this product, as the same Acai can be purchased at a fraction of the cost in your local health food store. I advise every person that has been scammed by this company to make phone calls to government officials, state what happened to them, and demand that these types of companies be put out of business for their underhanded ways.

  • gia

If you go to Acaiberrypure.com, you buy one bottle at a time. If you want more then you reorder. 39.95. No, I am not affliated with the company in any way.

  • Ani

  • bball15

HELP!!! I was an idiot and did this today & some chick rachel told me that I had to wait until the order came in to return it! i feel like i am going to puke! WHAT DO I DO????

  • Renee

I cannot believe this company. I too made a real big mistake by ordering this free sample. Why didn’t I check this site out prior to ordering this FREE sample.
I have spent so much time on the phone and writing dispute letters to my credit card company. I have membership fees and web access fees. This is making me totally crazy and on top of it, I don’t have the time to fool around with this.
Thanks for allowing me to vent.

  • Nancy

Here’s the way to get around being charged for any auto-ship products. The first time you buy it, use a pre-paid visa/mastercard or even one of those rebate cards you might get from a rewards program, cell phone purchase, etc. once the card is used up, they can’t charge off of it anymore. If you like the product, re-charge it on your debit or credit card later. I bought acai berry pro with a pre-paid visa card, I received my product, didn’t like it, but also never heard from them again. Trust me, they won’t ship it if they aren’t getting paid, but if they can get your money, they may not ship anything. Be smart! Don’t ever purchase anything online using a “real” credit card the first time around.

  • SANDRA

I ALSO WAS SCAM BY ACAI WEBSITE THAT ASK FOR SHIPPING HANDLING CHARGES FOR FREE 14DAY TRAIL I NEVER CANCEL THE TRIAL NOR GOT MY REFUND IM NOT ONE TO BE GIVING MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER THRU EMAIL/ONLINE AND I NEVER GOT MY ACAI BERRY EVEN THOUGH IT WAS 4.99 THEY SHOULD NOT BE MISLEADING PEOPLE ABOUT THE PRODUCT IF THEY NOT GONNA SEND IT OUT. IT ONLY GIVES THE REST THE OTHER ACAI BERRY SITES BAD NAME FOR POPULAR BERRY BECOMING WELL KNOWN.THE SAD PART I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD FOR MY FREE TRAIL TO TEST IT OUT. THE ADVERTISMENT MAKE SOUND SO BELIEVBLE MAKES US GULLIBLE TO THE PRODUCT
BUT WHEN THERE NOT KEEPING THERE END OF THE WORD ON SENDING THE PRODUCT THEY CREATING BAD NAME FOR THERE COMPANY.I TRY NUMEROUS TIMES TO SPEAK REP STILL NOTHING BEEN RESOLVE TRY SAY DOUBLE CHECK MY OREDER CREDIT CARD THE REPORT BEEN SUBMITTED BEEN WEESK/MTHS IF THAT THE CASE I BE MAKING MY OWN ACAI BERRY PUT IT ON MARKET. I HOPE THAT THERE CATCH UP WITH CON ARTIST SLAP ON WRIST .HE BETTER PRAY HE NOT FROM MY HOOD
CUS HE WOULD OF GOTTEN REAL WHOOP ASS HE BE ACAI BERRYING THRU THE OTHER END..JUST HOPE NO ONE ELSE GETS SCAM.

  • rosemn

I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE DONE MORE READING BEFORE ORDERING THIS ACAIPURE PRODUCT BECAUSE I TO FELL FOR THE SCAM OF THE FREE TRIAL AND IT COST ME 40.00 AND WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN THEY SAID THEY RECIEVED MY ORDER 1 DAY AFTER THE GUARANTEE!! IMAGINE THAT HOW LUCKY THEY ARE !! I REALLY HATE BEING RIPPED OFF, AND HOPE IF YOU ARE READING THESE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO BUY…DON’T DO IT !! UNLESS YOU WANT CHARGED EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED, BECAUSE THEY DON’T GIVE REFUNDS! THAT’S HOW THEY ARE MAKING MONEY. IT JUST PISSES ME OFF!

  • johnsonT

I too was scammed, i was told to send bottle back after the 14 trail period send back the remaining pills since I was given a 30 day supply, well that struck me as odd so what do they do with the remaining pills that i send back ugh!!! any who just got my cc statement and was charged $78.00. I have since canceled that card and received a new card with a new number. This scam has taken consumers for millions if you add it up. 78 here 88 therr 119 and from thousands of folks and this becomes a class action suit.
I was duped, shoyuld have know you dont get something for nothing $4.99 wow what a deal, what a SCAM if you dont pay attention you could rack up a large creedit card bill and not even know it. something needs to be done about this we listened to Oprah and Rachel and Dr OZ, thinking we were getting something they had tried and endorsed but only to be scammed…I think we need to be smarter about how we spend our money when it comes to shopping online………..

  • johnsonT

I tried Acai Pure and it did nothing for me I listened to various testimonies about how they lost 15 to 20 pounds in 2 weeks. I changed my eating habits to smaller portions, I workout daily at the gym and I have not lost a pound using this product. not sure whats going on but did both the Acai pure and the cleanser stopped on and still nothing so i got nothing from this product. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

  • sonia

cannot believe this ………it happend to me im in australia and its impossible with time difference to get hold of any one….cancelled my card….S.O.B

  • Jill

There needs to be someone to challange these scammers. Our governments in our cities and states needs to do something about this and quick. Maybe they need to pay us back if the company won’t, then they probably would do something because this is absolutely nuts!!!!! Tanks for listening.

  • nicandra

Thank you guys so much I was just reading about icai and they really convinced me to try their products but thanks to you i know its a scam so thanks!!

  • Joyce Cohen

ACAI BERRY, BOO!!!!! The ad read you get it FREE, only pay postage!!! What a ripoff!!!! On my credit card statement, beside the postage there was a charge for the product – $79.96. Can anyone tell me who I can contact and/or write to to tell them what phonies they are!!!! I would appreciate any help. Thanks. (I am calling my credit card company and telling them to cancel this charge. Hopefully it will work. I am also mailing back the bottle to them and requesting that they credit me for the $79.96).

  • SALI

I JUST ODER MY FREE TRIL 2/28/09 AND I GOT IT 3/4/09
BUT I AM STILL SCARED TO USE IT ANY ADVISE

I first read the imfo on ACAI prduct on the internet ,showing a connection with Racheal Ray & OPRA ETC.. promoting weight loss. Then I decided to look localy in a Health Food store, & also other places and found ther are several companies selling this procduct in many combinations of ingredients, for several purposes. I am now using the 100% JUICE which I buy localy,Have been using it for over 2 months, and am very happy with new found ENERGY. It’s the only new thing different in my diet.I AM 84 YEARS OLD and was a couch potato 3 months ago.

  • Barry

I fell for the free sample idea as well. I paid the 5.95 they used a lady in idaho for the example and told how much weight she lost. then they suggested the second product colopure. I got charged for the full month of product. I didn’t read that they were sending extra or a supposed full months supply. my debit card got hit for $89. when i called my bank they said they couldn’t do anything because it was a debit card and not a credit card. do not fall for it. I went to oprah’s web site. the leading caption; the truth about acai. I went to Rachel rey’s it appears she is unaware fo the things that this company is doing to us and her reputation. I still get e-mails from them. like you there is no return address. so I read the e-mail and click reply tell them how I feel about their product, american loyalty and express my wishes for a government that stops worrying about the president’s kids puppy and concern themselves with what is happening to so many people that are getting ripped off. I have contacted the chamber of commerce. I have told many friends and family. there needs to be a class action. my advice: do not buy anything without researching it first. never use a debit card if it is not a local purchase and from someone you know. never give out a credit card number without again research and make sure the credit crd company offers cap on purchases and guarantees your purchases. do not use a card that you don’t mind canceling. do not vote for someone that is more concerned with a dog and swing set than you getting scammed.

  • It’s Called Exercise & Diet

Simple Exercise and appropriate food portioning.

Go to a health food store and buy the product. Buying online for items like this isn’t very smart at all.

  • Jenn

Same thing happened to me. I thought I was getting something good, because it came recommeded by Oprah. Very Disappointed and this company is a scam!

  • pist off!!!!

I too fell for this BS! And yes Joyce you can get these things put back on your account! I have a fraud investigation going on now as i type! I believe that this needs to be published on every web site they have for acai berry! I thought this was going to be the thing that helped me and now im having a beer and i dont even drink! Thanks acai berry for making me an alcholic!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!

  • charlenecx

I got scamed also. Same free trial. shows up on credit card as a compant named Bottom two Investments. phone # is 800-277-1597. Coustomer srevice people are extreamly rude. After I realalized that they put me on an auto ship when the charged my account $87.65. When I called them and cancled they refused to give me a refund. the next day the charged my account again, another $87.65. They also refuse to refund that. My next step is going to be to report them to the better buisness buro. What a scam.

  • Scam!!! ~heidi~

i tried acai berry for a little over 2 weeks and still no results -nothing! i checked my statement today and found that i was charged 79.95 for my “FREE” bottle and then charged 85.91 for the next bottle. I talked with a supervisor through acai berries customer service and told her my story and she basically said sorry….. you didn’t cancel within 15 days so you are responable for the payment…..165 dollars for CRAP!!!!!! thanks ACAI BERRY

  • Ariadne

I had just ordered the “free” sample of PureAcaiBerry when I noticed this site on my search. I clicked on it and read maybe twenty of your scam reports. Then I promptly called my bank and cancelled my credit card. (They had not received any charges from ACAI yet.) In seven days I’ll have a new credit card number and be back in business. My heartfelt thanks to all of you for taking the trouble to tell your scam stories. You’ve saved a retired woman on a fixed income some financial woes. I’ll know better next time. Best to you all!

  • Harry

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment about Acai Pure.
I was about to order the product.Everyone save me a lot of headache and problems.
    This company should be sued!

  • Theresa Cole

I’m so glad that I have came to this site before

will give someone wisdom and knowledge to put a
    stop to this deceitful act.

    SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSES

  • Sunset33

Did you know that you can get Acai from Puritan’s Pride?
It is cheaper and there is no autoship.

  • TEXAS

I fell for the scam hook, line and sinker. Lucky for me I used my pre-paid credit card. I will get a new one. I made sure balance is zero now. I did get the Acai Pure in one week. Haven’t received the colon cleanse though. They also signed me up for Fit Factory, (supposed to get an ipod for trying that). As soon as I get all my “trial” products, I will cancel. My only question is, DOES ANY OF THIS STUFF WORK??? I took one pill today and had so much energy, I couldn’t contain myself. I really hope this stuff works. I need it for the weight loss, but the boost in energy I felt today was awesome. I loved that feeling. I wasn’t “down” at all today. Here it is after midnight and I am wide awake. Thank you all for posting, it sure saved money, because I was about to load my card to pay bills, now I will just get a new card.

  • Rjaziz

i am so GLAD i found this site before i ordered. i seriously wanted to order.. i knew it was too good to be true. no where on their site does it mention how much it actually costs and how much they will keep charging you, instead its full of adverts to attract you to buy. it doesnt even state any sideeffects. i am actually trying to get pregnant and you cant even see anywhere where it mentions that it could/ will not be harmful. how are we supposed to know. RIDICULOUS.
we should all get together and sue their crappy company. thank you all, if i hadnt read your reviews i wouldve been in a terrible mess like most of you……x

  • Diane

To all 100 plus of you that have posted complaints ….THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the information BEFORE I ordered! I guess it’s true what they say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! If it looks like a rat, then it is a rat! If it smells like …. it is …..!
    Thanks,
    Still chubby but thankful

  • mimi

They never pick up there phone i’m sitting on hold for the last 20mins This sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Suzie

Someone has to contact Opra and CNN this company is a scam. You don’t even recieve your shipment within the 14 days in order to cancel and there is no way they will give the money back these people need stopped maybe Obama needs in on this company.

  • Tom Stockner

I don’t remember the name of the copany I bought the ACAI supplement from but it is a complete rip-off. I tried the “trial” shipment and a month later I received another unwanted shipment. I refused the shipment and called the number on the bottle 866-964-1011 and was told that they would refund only a portion of the charges on my credit card. Shame on me for not reading the fine print. Don’t be fooled by these claims.

  • Ellen

I was stupid enough to fall for this scam also. I ordered from Advanced Wellnesas Research and had the same experience as most of you.I just today discovered they had charged mny debit card twice for 2 bottles of this stuff which I have been taking for over a month with no results. I called them with no satisfaction. So I called and cancelled my debit card to stop further charges. I cancelled any further orders, but don’t trust them to really stop it. I intend to contact the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau regarding this company. Too bad I didn’t find this website before I ordered.

acai berry works great when using it but the second month the charged me twice within a week and never even sent me the products so be careful.in addition i have founf that you can purchase it much cheaper in the long run at a drug store.i picked some up today infact at a drug store 1000mg perserving and it cost only 8.99 for a 60 day supply.don’t be stupid like i as well as many others and get trapped having to pay for something i never paid for.

  • Sonia

Acaiberry is a total scam and does not work. I ordered the so called free trial and withoud knowing this people were Stealing money from my visa card account. When I realized that my money was gone I went to my bank and for my surprise they already knew about the scan. The bank cancel my account, and open a new one and within a week the bank will give me my money back, and they will be dialing with this Thief and liars. Be aware or you will lost you money too.

  • tina

I ordered as well and as soon as i read this website i called the bank and cxl that debit card fast before they can charge me..Omg i thought i was going to have to go monkey on someone. Thank you so much for the info i am so glad i read this website.

  • Naomi

I was dupped as well wth the free trial offer.Just paid the postage of £18 for one bottle . Did not even work. I did not realise that i had to cancel future orders (which i had not even placed!!!) until i looked at my credit card statement to find that another £45 had been withdrawn from my account. When I spoke to my card company they knew all about it and they are sending me a form to cancel the payments. Re. the refund of £45 i was told that if i did not receive the samples then i could get a refund from the card company.
Something should be done about this scam.

  • Marylou

Thank god i found this review page, i was going to order more acai but instead i went to gnc and bought it for $19.95. Truthfully i have been on it awhile and as i feel more energetic and have not gotten the flu once since, no weight loss promotion here. I lost 12lbs on hydroxycut, none on acai. Gnc nutritionist says there is absolutely no proof acai causes weightloss and is not FDA approved for weightloss either. When i think about it, if this was the ultimate weightloss pill that Oprah endorses, why is she so heavy?? Good question huh? Gnc did warn me of scams and fake acai off the internet, stating that some are actually just selling you a placebo in acais place!!! SCAM BIG TIME!!!! I would get alot of you together and get an attorney and site a class action law suit against the company or companies whom scamed yoou all!!

  • Marylou

Oh by the way, Vitamin World also sales acai for 19.95 too. I was on Hoodia
gordonii 2 years ago and did loose 22lbs on it, so i will be going back to that i guess. The girl named michelle promoting acai from P.a. says she lost 32lbs in 1 month!!! We all know that would be extremely unhealthy in the first place…

  • Sharon Long

Oh we people that trust others. If only we would really research things before jumping on the band wagon. You can buy the same product at health food stores. Some of you are luckier as you are being charged less than fifty dollars then there are we poor fools that are charged $79.96.I also had the $4.99 trial bottle, which by the way I cannot take as it makes my heart feel as if it is jumping out of my body. When I called and complained I was told the benefits of Acai berry. I, who am usually a mild mannered person screamed at the person. I am on social security, so that money means the world to me. Lets all band together and notify the Better Business Bureau in the state where we aquired this stuff.

  • margarita

ACAI you can purchase it much cheaper in the long run at a drug store.i picked some up today infact at a drug store 1000mg perserving and it cost only 8.99 for a 60 day supply .SUNDOWN NATURAS ACAI 1000 mg .

  • claudia

i am so glad i read all your comments i was very close to buying this product but thought i would look it up first thank god i did……….. cant belive people can get away with this!!!!!!!!!!!! what a joke

  • Lisa

I have not gave it a thought in trying this. I did the tri-slim when it came out and that company works the same way as the acai from what I saw on website. They billed me $60 after 14 days trial. I was not so happy about that and called them and told them to cancel and they give you *ell and they act like they don’t know what you talking about and it seems to me everytime i called hoping to get a different represenative I got the same one. A month a half later they billed me for some club membership that has to do with that product but not getting no pills and had to go trhough all that again. So after dealing with that I knew the acai would be the same way. So I didn’t even think about. I was just curious on the reviews here. never again I fall for anything like that.

  • Judy H., from GA

Do you really think that Oprah and Rachel and Dr OZ know how scandalous this company is or is this one that they endorse? I was scammed in 2008 when I thought it was endorsed by them and that I only had to pay under 6 dollars for s/h. Was I surprised when I say my credit card statement and talked to my credit card company. I had to have a cancellation number in order to cancel…I tried for weeks calling with up to 120 minutes wait times…never got through. What they would do is debit my account 15 days in advance. While I was trying your best to cancel they kept taking my money. I got literally sick from what was happening. I was hit up for over $150…I got just one shipment in…..I had to cancel my credit card…..They should be sued, shut down, heavied fined, and somebody(s) need to do some jail time.. Let me tell you, they are crude and tricksters…thieves. When I put in my info for the free sample and clicked enter, something flashed quickly on the right side of my screen..It scared me and I only saw what looked like filled in dots…Oh boy I thought, so I called my credit card company immediately, within minutes afterwards to cancel the transaction….they say, too late already approved. Next day is when I started calling the AcaiPure company to cancel. I’m tired of America screwing America..I said NO, so I have be truly violated! My thought on this is not to try any product off the internet. Don’t give out your credit info or any info on you. They get all your info when you give it to them for the FREE product. You think it’s for the shipping and handling….then they stick you….They probably sell your information to other scammers too….JUST DON’T DO IT!!! Go to your local health stores and just purchase what you want. Don’t let the words FREE….or JUST PAY FOR SHIPPING/HANDLING, trick you again. I won’t!

  • Anonymous

I made an initial order for this product, which was supposed yo be a free trial. They charged me about £24 anyway. I got the WuYi Tea and a bottle of Acai burn tablets. They then continued taking £49.00 twice from my account and never sent any further products. I complained twice and they have not responded nor refunded my money to my account. I had to close my bank account to stop them taking my money and Halifax are now trying to get back almost £100 on my behalf. They also were taking club fees and various small amounts from my account each week for card transactions, but they never sent me any further products!!!!!!!!

  • Deb

This is a scam. THey charge you through multiple companies and dont tell you. You find out a month later on your credit card and then have fun trying to cancel out of each different 1-800 number listed. There are transaction fees for each business while they steal your money in membership fees, online ebook fees, and other nonsense. The website doesnt tell you that you have to cancel from multiple companies that they give your credit card info to. Beware! Oprah, I hope you gain 300 pounds from allowing your face on this advertisement. Shame on you

  • ANN

THIS IS A SCAM, THEY SAY IT IS FREE THEY NEED YOUR ACCOUNT ONLY FOR THE SHIPPING, THAN THEY TAKE OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT 40.00 WHICH I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. I AM VERY MAD WHEN THEY TOOK OUT THE 40.00 IT CREATED A OVERCHARGE FEE AND THAT WAS ADDITIONAL 35.00. I REPORTED THIS TO THE BANK AS FRAUD. I CALLED RIGHT AWAY AND THE COMPANY SAID THEY WILL REFUND MONEY AFTER NOT RECEIVING IT FOR 6 DAYS I CALLED BACK AND THEY OD NOT KNOW IF THEY ARE REFUNDING ME. WHAT A RIP OFF. I WILL NOT EVER GET A FREE PRODUCT AGAIN. I THINK THEY SHOULD BE REPORTED FURTHER TO AUTHORITIES.

  • Steffi

Thanks to everyone who posted their reviews on this scam…I’m glad I took the time to research further, as it’s stopped me from ordering and loosing money.

Have also found the acai berry capsules and juice, and loads of colon cleanse products available on-line from a UK retailer of vitamins, minerals etc.

Hope you all get your money back somehow…….good luck

  • Christine

Thanks for all of you the honesty. When I finalize the free trial order, I founded there are auto agreed the terms & conditions. So I read it then I decide to do more search before provide them my credit card details. Lucky me found this web site and knew this is a scam !!

  • amanda watkins

an absoulute rip off a complete scam they should be taken off the web , they are nothing but fraudsters , it is a money making scheme , and people who are desperate are falling for it , its dispicable , please dont fall for it i have lost a lot of money and havent even received anything !!!! my friend has recieved the product but has been charged over 200 pounds !!!!!!!! and they didnt work x

  • evrli

ANYTIME YOU EVER HAVE PROBLEMS WITH A COMPANY CONTACT/REPORT IT TO YOUR LOCAL BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, THEY WILL FOLLOW THROUGH…..:)

  • Nataliah

    Acaiburn
I have ordered this product over 2 weeks ago and still waiting. As everyone one else been charged for the product but no product, was getting worried as since giving out my credit card details have been charged more than what was agreed and now reading everyones comments i emailed and cancelled any further charges and shipments. I received a reply to my cancellation and was told of confirmation of my request to cancel and that i was charged more than what were agreed as i was from another country. I have been told i will receive another charge to my credit card of $59.95 for the end of the trial period for the so called product that i have yet to receive. So tomorrow i will be canceling my credit card number as i do not want to have any more charges to my card.
Hopefully i will receive the product by reading everyones comments not to sure. Good luck to all :-)

  • Kelly

I have been using this product for months now and have not seen the first result. I cancelled 2 months ago and just received another shipment last week. I was told by the rep that they did not cancel my account and will be charging me the $89 for the shipment. I even gave her the cancellation confirmation number and she still would not credit my account. When I asked to speak with her supervisor, she said “Hold on he is available and is right here.” She got back on the phone and said he was “not available.” When I told her that she just said that he was, she said “Oh, well he said to tell you that he just went into the conference room for a meeting.” What a scam! Now I have to be inconvenienced and dispute it with my credit card company. They also sent me their Hoodia gum and Green Tea products. Be careful, they have the same “Trial” offer as the Acai Berry diet pills.

  • charlotte

i have been debating whether to start taking acai pure for few months now and after a lot of research i decided to do so buy buying it off ebay as i noticed the scams at this was just backed up by this website so thankyou all for the comments.
when there is ever anything free on a website i always look at how it is worded cos a free trial only is a free TRIAL it doesnt say anything about free products i think everyone will have learnt there lesson and not to fall for these scams again but or new people i would suggest tp just read things very carefully.

  • Amber in WV

Ok, let me tell you that this stuff works! I ordered mine in Nov and it took a while to receive it, but they told me it would due to a alot of ordering. I started taking it as soon as I got it. Within about 2 weeks, my stomach was flat enough to see my hip bones again and I felt great! But, even though they had done nothing to scam me, I read the reveiws and got scared so I cancelled my ordering. I went to my local herb store and bought a different Acai, which has done nothing! It’s the combination of the ingredients in this pill that work. It really does get rid of the bloat! Finally after taking the other stuff without the same results, I called the Acai Pure number and ordered another bottle for $40. I told them that I didn’t want all of that other crap added on and said I’ve read the complaints and hope they will do better because the product is great! They only problem, so far…I’ve had with the company was a charge from Fit Fac that came on my bill. I immediately called them and told them to take it off and they did. I was sure to read the fine print but missed that somehow, however, they gave me no fuss about taking the charge off. I was sure to uncheck the boxes for the other stuff when I ordered so I received no gum or water. Make sure you read!!!! I hate that you are are problems with the company because the product truly is great…otherwise I would not risk my money to do it again.

  • Bob

So what the heck is going on here. I just was poking around and seeing what the hype is all about with this product. How can a company like this continue to operate. We need to shut them down ASAP. Even if your charges are being reversed on your credit cards they are still getting payments. This means they are making money off the backs of the credit card companies. No wonder why interest rates are soo high, thanks to useless CRIMINAL companies like this so many people are in endless debt. Seriously though, why havent they been shut down yet?

  • Alla

Despite that it does not work at all, these criminals charged my credit card twice within 1 month for $59, refused to return. My credit card is still fighting with them for return. There was either no condition described on promotion page or it appeared later, anyway it was hidden. I hope they will be charged for what they are doing. Those, for whom it worked should try placebo for free – it would work too.

  • jamogen

I was shocked to see the charges on my CC. Even a charge for ‘web access’! After reading these scarey reviews, I have just rung my bank and cancelled my credit card, just to make sure that no more charges can come out.
I will be way more careful with these ‘offers’ in the future. Trouble is, they prey on our worries over weight management and we fall into the trap of the easy fix. Good luck everyone.

  • sofii

i’m soo glad i didn’t go for the free trial.
i found a site in my own country. no free trials, no autoship. if you want a bottle monthly, you have to buy it once a month.
    mine ships out monday.
    fingers crossed.

  • read the terms and coditions!

another thing, if the people are not letting you cancel your account, then tell them you are pressing charges. If what you are saying is true, well it’s against the law. In any scam or any situation where a company is charging your credit card or bank without your permission, you can press charges….so look into it. maybe a few threats will make them take the cancelations seriously. I was involved in a scam not that long ago(different and fake company) I went to the police and my bank, they took care of it. I hope I helped in some way.

  • Anonymous

17/4/09, Yes, I saw the advert and ordered a “free” sample only to be billed $AUS37.80 for P+H. Needless to note the goods haven’t arrived.Subsequently, another three debits have been processed to my credit card for a “currency exchange fee”; for a “web access fee” and for the free sample as I hadn’t returned the goods within the nominated timeframe. A bit hard when they haven’t been received. The funds were processed through a Cyprus connection. It is nothing short of fraud.
Their “contat us” site is a load of rubbish; I did get through to a female who was hard pressed to comprehend english after listening to 40 seconds of “bull” advertising; not what you want on a phone call from Australia to USA. The USA authorities are obviously incompetent as they haven’t rounded up these con artists yet.

  • lisa

you can buy acai berry from vitacoast a lot cheaper and it only takes a week to get it.

  • janet

I to have been ripped off. I ordered the acai-pure have not received it yet. I was charged 79.95, for the free trial; instead of the 4.99 that was to be charged. I just happened to call my bank to check on other payment. and the Teller just happened to ask about this amount on my account. Needless to say I caught it just in the nic of time to cancel it. I also had to cancel my charge card. It’s been about three weeks and I’m still waiting for my free trial.

  • diane

i read reviews today AFTER i placed order. however, my order was placed through acai advance. different from acai pure?? i then called their toll free as a test. got through after 12 minutes. got a professional sounding person. am praying i’m not in the scam.

  • kate

Found Acai capsules in holland and barratt in UK. Price £9.99 for 120 capsules, however had not realised they were of the licquorice ‘family’, which I am allergic to. Returned to H&B with the seal still intact and explained. No problem, apology given for my allergy – would I consider trying another product…… WOW! Forget ordering online for once, go to H&B all those in the UK

  • bree

acai is a brazilian fruit, you can find them in Brazilian stores…no need to order online!!

  • AGGRAVATED in N.C.!!!

I have been trying to cancel Acai Berry for days! I have been calling 801-208-7485 & 801-208-7490 both have been busy for 3 straight days…no matter what time of day I called!!! I just reported them to BBB.
JOIN ME!! Let’s STOP these CROOKS!!!!
I don’t know about you but, I’m a single mom and I can’t afford them to keep taking my hard earned money. SHAME ON THEM!!!!

  • AGGRAVATED in N.C.!!!

    SCAM…SCAM…SCAM…SCAM Need I say more???!!!!

  • Tammy

i seen advertisements about this wonderful pill that you can try for only a $1 with no other obligations and so of course i tried it and i get my credit card invoice and there is a charge of $78.81 can not find a number for these people and disputing charges with credit card!!! Oh by the way it doesn’t work!!!! and i’m not to sure of how to get money refunded or even who to call!!! But i’m just a bit upset with this nonsense and how people are ignorant and not thinking of what they are taking away from people who do not have money to be stolen off of them like this!

  • Bob

The only way they would stop taking money was to change my credit card number. Which the card company advised to do. The acia company is nothing but a ripoff!!!

  • sha

People BEWARE Acai is not approved by the FDA and has not passed any Inspection on your Health or anything else. Acai is a 100% scam. Don’t waste your money on something that the so called “Stars” have said about Acai because they most likely get paid a huge amount of money just to endorse that product. It’s only common sense that if you watch what you eat and exercise you will lose weight and that’s without the Aaci. Think about it, what makes the most sense?

  • Crystal

Buy Acai products off of ebay. Its a one-time purchase – you will not be scammed! You people should really read the fine print at the bottom of the page WHENEVER you buy something online.

  • Dorothy

This is a scam!! Do NOT order. This same company sold POM tablets(pomegranate). I ordered – got a supply plus gum. Charged me more than $3.95. Then, charged me $45 and I didn’t receive anything.
Of course, I had to get a new credit card. I tried calling the company – good luck! Nothing! Tried canceling on their web site. Nothing! Their warehouse is in Florida. I believe they have an office in Phoenix, Arizona.

  • louise

this product is nothing but a credit card scam – i cancelled – i was told i would have no more charges on my card – i was told to share the unused product with a friend. 30 days later i received my credit card statement, and i was billed 8.99 (not 4.95) shipping, 79. product and 13. membership. when i called them they advised i had to return the product – in direct conflict with what they stated earlier – they were aware i had cancelled and they still billed me because i didn’t return their product. the product is not pure acai berry it is chromium mix – i caution all who go to these sites to stay away from them they are nothing but scam artists preying on people who are vulnerable.

  • Karla

Wow, thank goodness I didn’t sign up. Just by chance I came across this website before I was convinced to get the “free trial”. I’m now thinking to just buy the dried Acai berries from my supermarket !. Most likely do the same thing. Anyone in Australia, just go to your local woolies / safeway / coles and you’ll find the berries in the health food section !. Save yourself the money and stress levels. At $8 a packet, who can go wrong .

  • dorothy

I wish I’d read these reviews before buying the product on line. Supposed to be a free trial, but ended up paying nearly £50. The product arrived about 4 weeks later, I’ve been taking them as prescribed, haven’t lost any weight yet, if anything I feel more bloated than before. Not sure whether to stop taking them, leaflet advises to persevere, would love to know what’s in them. Fortunately, haven’t been charged additional payments yet, will definitely cancel my credit card as soon as that happens. When will we learn? There’s only one way to lose weight,- small portions, moderate exercise and avoid fatty foods. Totally disgusted with myself for falling for this scam. NEVER AGAIN.

  • sandra

i was a sucker to i live in tasmania and got the $5.95 postage and so called free trial im a single mum and got slugged with a $114.00 im tryin to stop them

  • Jo Ann

Here’s my story – I was on a random internet sight where at the top of the webpage, they were advirtising the Acai pills. After reading the whole story about how the woman featured lost 75 lbs after trying every other diet COMBINED with the fact that it was on the Oprah show & Fox 5 news, etc…I thought what the heck -I will order it for a free trial. My credit card was charged immediately for shipping ($4.95)-which I agreed to. I was a bit nervous becuase there were no telephone numbers on the site to actually cancel the subscription after the trial. As a blessing in disguise, I lost my credit card 2 days later and realized it immediately and called my bank to have it cancelled. (I lose it all the time – LOL) Anyhow, after reading all of these stories about how people are getting screwed with charges on their card, I was glad I lost me card and had it cancelled before I became a victim also. PLEASE – here is my advice – HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD CANCELLED IMMEDIATELY – especially since the phone customer service sucks with these “ACAI people! You can get a new card mailed to you – I just got mine today – it took less than a week and its a different card number than the one I used to purchase this product. By the way, I just received my trial bottle of ACAI today so I don’t know if it works yet – BUT if it does, I will take the advice above and go to GNC or similar to purchase more – never on-line again unless it’s thru e-bay where you are protected with your purchases. Just food for thought – thanks for reading my story – now get that card cancelled immediately!
    Jo Ann

Acai Burn. I feel really stupid. How can someone like me look after their pennies and then be debited payments of a large kind. I have had to change my credit card number and all the regular deductions that automatically came off it. All because I was sucked into a pill making life easier. God I feel really stupid and now broke.

  • pmilam

This is a total scam. I got lucky and “got rid of them.” DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

  • Meg

Funny to read these, we all know, most things come with TERMS and CONDITIONS right? So maybe people should read them and do a little research before jumping on anyone? As noted, the product may work for some, and not others…the actual process of ordering the product through the compnay might be a pain, but the product may work wonders. haha, funny how a lot of ya’ll get so hyped up…

  • Adds

I got lots of spam for this diet pill…. :(

  • Helen

Going to get onto one of the less that news worthy, news programs they love stories like this.

  • debra

I tried acai burn and found it did not work for me. Im in Australia and I got a bill here for $86.50. I cancelled my order but still got scammed. I was told I had to pay the full amount because I went 1 day over the free trial, which starts from the date you oreder it, even though it took over a week to get here. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

  • burneduser

all of these products are a scam for the amount of money they charge you. if you don’t RETURN the product within 14 days, you get the full charge. you don’t get to TRY the products for 14 days. you are much better off getting into a legitimate program of diet and exercise than this CRAP!!!!!

  • t

stop complaining you should of did research before you bought it and all the pricing is on the site you just bypassed it so its really not a scam. Always read the fine print before you use your credit card online. its common sense.

  • turks

I too was riped off by caci berry
They said $4.95 Us dollars and I was charched $35 Australian dollars so I cancelled it but they had all ready taken out the paymennt
and know were in the web page dos it say any thing about Aus buyers ,any ways I when to the bank and closed my account so they dont take any more payments :((
    shame on the Americans

  • Roz, Dampier, Australia

BIG BIG SCAM. I feel so foolish falling victim to these people. Ordered free trial on 8 March for $ 4.95 (was instantly charged $ 24.95, but chose to let this go as I live in Western Australia) As of today (3 May) have still not received anything and my credit card has been charged close to AUD$ 300.00! Have now cancelled my credit card and reported this company to my bank! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!

  • Sue

BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM. I ORDERED THE FREE TRIAL, THEY TOOK MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT, NO PRODUCT ARRIVED.
STEER CLEAR, SOMEONE IS MAKING MONEY AT OUE EXPENSE

  • Mari

Thank you guys for you honest truth. I was seriously considering ordering online. But after seeing your reviews, I will not fall for their scam. I did find acai juice from the sambazon brand at my local Wal-Mart for $7.97. I have decided to give it a shot. Thank you again for saving $$$, and all of the headaches.

  • Lori Ann

I ordered AcaiPure without checking them out or read the terms and conditions; big mistake. I noticed a charge of 39.99 on my statement and called the number listed the call could not be completed due to the number being bogus. I went back to the website and found the correct number which is 1-888-692-8352, the young lady tried to get me to stay by offering $10.00 off. I found that really funny since I found many products at GNC that seems to have a higher level of Acai without the added fillers found in fad online products. STAY AWAY FROM ACAIPURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Karen

In regards to Açaí Berry or Açaí Pure, none of these have been endorsed by Ophra or Dr. Oz. as all of these products contain a mere 250 mg dose. The Açaí Berry approved for weight loss, detox etc and 100% Açaí Berry has a 1000 mg daily dose for effectivness. There is only one so far on the market with the required dose and that is called aProven Açaí Berry found here ..http://www.aprovenproduct.com/acaiberry.php, they offer no hipe, no free trial, just a 100% money back guarantee and they are a BBB backed member. I have been searching the internet for the past 2 weeks on the Açaí Berry product including all the false claims of who endorces it. If you buy this berry with less than 1000 mg daily dosage then you will be scammed and see no results.
I live in Alaska, 60 years old and am not connected in any way to any product, infact I have yet to order the berry, but when I do it will be the aProven Açaí Berry that I purchase. Do your homework, you won’t get scammed and you will get the best product that IS actually talked about on CNN, Oprha etc.

P.S. Oprah has not endorsed any Acai product. If you go to her official web site you can read this and how her attornys are planning to sue these sites with her pic and posting her endorsement.
The 1000 MG dose is what was only discussed on her show.

i’m overweight and will try anything to lose the weight. i was searching the internet @ 1:00am on May 11 2009 and read an article of this woman that lost 43 pounds in 2 months and to me it was unbelievable that in her own story page she guide me to this product that i though i had to try. i put my information in, my credit card and summit it the order. after summitting the order i continue to search and came upon you all. i am in shoke, scare because i am scare that they will to rip me off and i don’t work i can bearly support my children. that it scares me to think about you alls scams and thinking that i might be the next stupid person that felt in their product. after reading your comments i right away call my credit card company and cancel my card, they told me that there was already a charge for $2.95 and $5.95. i told them to cancel and stop anyone else from doing any further purchases with my card and my name. i hope i caught them first, before they do any more harm. i will response to what ever my outcome will be. wish me luck and hope you all that have already been scam by this company do something about it. this is one of the reasons this people keep scamming others because alot of us don’t do nothing about it. we should fight for our rights and let others know it’s not fair to abuse others. we are just depress, overweight, and tierd of looking the way we are that anything anybody tells us or we read we fall to there belive. what a shame. Good luck to you all???????

  • keisha

  • glen

  • scammed

Pure Acai Slim…should be called “Pure Fraud”!! I was one of the many that were scammed…received the first “free” bottle and then when my visa statement arrived I noticed an additional amount of over $100. recorded the same day as my $4.99 “free” bottle…so much for the so-called cancellation period. I too got nowhere trying to contact them by phone or e-mail. Visa is currently looking into the matter, but it looks like I’ve lost the $100 regardless. Pretty expensive for one “free” sample. I wonder how these people are allowed to continue with such an obvious scam.

  • Sandy

what a scam I hope these people sleep well at nite, I to was taken for $89.13 plus shipping. If anyone can fine who to report this to I’ll be watching the net good luck to all of you.

  • JANE BELANGERR

REGARDING CHARGING YOUR CREDIT CARDS. NOTIFY THE BANK AND LET THEM KNOW THE WHOLE STORY. THEY WILL WORK WITH YOU TO TAKE THE CHARGE OFF IF YOU RUN INTO TROUBLE WITH THE PROVIDER OF THE DRUG.

  • K

I also ordered the 30 days free trial, within a matter of days i received it. Thank God I saw these reports. There were no additional charges on my card, so I immediately called the bank and closed my card.

  • Barbara

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!I don’t know if these are all the same company, but the one I dealt with is a scam. I ordered the free trial and was offered it for $2.99 shipping. Two hours after ordering it, my checking account was chareged $80.33. I was ripped. I called the company and told them to cancel the order. The charge was on there for over a week. I called everyday and was told it would be credited back. Finally after a week or so, it was put back.
The next month they debited my account again for the $80.33. I called everyday and cannot anywhere with these morans who don’t even speak english. I had to cancel my debit card and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have filed a dispute with my bank. They are going after this company for my money. They are so rude when you call and you cannot even reason with them. They are all programed to say the same thing. I even wrote send a letter to the CEO and of course with no answer. SO BE CAREFUL OF THESE COMPANIES. I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS. I WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET MY MONEY BACK. I email them every other day but they don’t even answer me anymore. At first they did, but now they know that I am on to them The creeps, I hope they get shut down. SO MY FRIENDS BE CAREFUL, GO TO THE LOCAL GNC TO BUY THIS PRODUCT.

  • Evelyn

I tried to order the 14 day trial but as I do not have a credit card only debit the order did not go through. I then found this site and I am so glad the order did not proceed after what has happened to so many folks. Like so many of you I also have about 50 lbs to lose, but I think I will join my local weight watchers now and not take the easy way out or I could just go down to my local Barretts here in UK and find the pills there, what do you think I will do? Good luck to all that are fighting for there money.

  • Trice

I have been using acai pure along with a colon cleanse off and on for 2 month and i have lost 22 pounds. It sounds like a small amount but when u are overweight like me, losing 22 pounds looks like 75 pounds (why is that).I have move from a 28 to 22. i feel great about myself. I look better in my new smaller clothes. And i’ve notice the change in the men that want to date me physically, they are more handsome and thinner. Now i will take the powder colon cleanser from GNC along with my acai pure. i know those pay shippment only, free acai is misleading, they don’t tell you that if you get on autoship they cut 75% off of the product’s price. p.s.for rapid weight-loss i advised eating meals out of bowls for portion control, eating curfew, and most of all cycling(stationary bikes) gym classes(very effective; lost 4 pounds this week from this class of 3 days a week for 30 mins classes along with 15 mins of weigh-lifting

I also checked out the add that had Oprah,Dr. Oz and Rachel Ray in it. When it asked for my cc to cover shipping and handling I started reading Terms and Conditions. It went on and on and never did find out how much it was really going to cost me so I got out only to have them call me on the phone to find out why I didn’t want to go ahead with it. I told her and she ended up taking me into it. Well got real close to the 14 days and no product. Tried calling # she gave to cancel and it was diconnected the Email did not exist. That’s when I found this site and went to my bank and cancelled my debit card. Thanks to everyone.

  • Stu

Acai berry is a pure scam!! I did the 14 day free trial and then e-mailed and phoned to cancel and sent the tablets back as advised but was still debited £40 14 days after takig them!! Have been debited another £40 in May and have phoned my bank and they have had thousands of complaints!! Whether they work or not I’m not sure cos I did lose 4lbs in two weeks while taking them but I have lost 2lbs a week since sending them back too so don’t think they work. It’s one massive scam as far as I’m concerned, DON’T GET INVOLVED WITH THEM!!!

  • Tina

I am so glad i saw this sight before ordering. I had my credit card in my hand to order when i seen all these comments. thank you to everyone for posting your problems now i know better

  • lexilouhoo22

Thanks for everyones insight. Not trying that one!! Yikes!

  • kathy

This company is clever,as they prey on people looking for a quick fix for their weight problem, myself included.I ordered online using my debit card and did receive the “free”sample as promised. However after reading these reviews,I called my bank and was informed that they had already made two more charges that were pending for items I didn’t order that totaled almost $89.This was only ONE day after receiving my sample! I told the bank I never authorized these charges and had them stop payment. Since the company now had my account number I was advised by my bank to cancel that card and be issued a new one (that took 10 days to receive)to keep this company from getting additional funds. Thank GOD for your review site!!

  • elizabeth

this acai burn is such a scam!!! i tried the free 7 day trial and it doesn’t work too well for me! they tell you that you’ll loose weight in 12 weeks! well hell yeah of course!!! coz’ this program is making you stay away from all the foods you’ll love to eat! its better not to drink any of these acai pills and just eat healthy! and plus they billed me $61.00 twice in one month plus a $10 dollar membership fee although i didn’t join any membership! also cancelled the 7 day trial offer already! didn’t get any products either but kept being billed! i talked to my bank representative and she told me that acai burn is a scam because the account is offshore and in cyprus so she warned me to watch my statements because she had a case with a client like these before and whats bad is she didn’t report it right away and got billed for 8 months and all the bank can do is recover transactions from 60 days.. so people beware ordering acaiburn online coz’ i’ve been scammed!

  • CloseOne

Thank goodness for this site, looks like you all saved me from getting ripped-off. Thanx

  • NIKKI

I FELL INTO THE FREE THING. I PD MY 4.95 GOT MY TRIAL AND THEN CANCELED ANY FURTHER CHARGES. I GOT MY BANK STATEMENT AND THERE WAS A 88.55 CHARGE ON THERE. I CALLED MY BANK THEY GAVE ME A PHONE NUMBER (866-951-1393)TO CALL. I CALLED IT GOT RIGHT THROUGH, THE CSR SD I WOULD NEED TO WAIT UNTILL I RCV’D THE 60 DAY SUPPLY THEN RETURN IT AND CALL BACK A FEW DAYS LATER AND THEY WOULD REFUND MY 88.55. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD I DID NOT FOLLOW THE PROPER RETURN PROCEDURE SO I WILL NOT RCV MY REFUND. THEY SAID I SHOULD HVAE CALL WHEN I RCV’D THE PILLS AND THEY WOULD HAVE TOLD ME HOW TO RETURN THEY. I PUT RETURN TO SENDER. SO THEY HAVE THE PILLS AND MY MONEY. HOW MESSED UP IS THAT…….

  • Lorenzo Renteria

People are dumb to buy online, if they get off their lazy butt and looked around they would find this products in major stores in their area much cheaper. I found AcaiTrim Super Concentrated(two month supply) for $14.36. The Acai Berry Cleanse(two month supply) for $19.88.

  • Got it sussed

Simple solution people! I really wanted to try the product but had heard of friends who has lost hundreds from these companies.

I ordered the free trial and the very next day changed my credit card details. Easy

  • Othrodru

Another victim–i also, ordered a free trial supply with a $3.95 shipping charge. i found a charge of $87.55 on my credit card statment. This is truly a scam. I am filing a complant with the California Atty General’s office.

  • carol

Thank you for this site!! Was going to order product-gut said different. Before I ordered, I did some site searching-GLAD I came upon this site. Got an e-mail that a friends daughter ordered acai berry and lost 22 lb., which is great. I did notify the friend of this site and the troubles that they may be up for. I am defenitly not going to order. My heart goes out to you that are having troubles with the companies. Try to keep a smile.

  • kesley

im sure this is last comment of the season.sorry this happened to so many people. I hired a lawyer. they are going down. and i will get not only my money bcak but a lot more from these thieves. did you know these telemarketers that work for the acai pure get all your info or third parties for e-mail leads. Then they sell the leads to marketing companies or to car dealerships or any kind of business or who knows to make a buck. People working for the company also can write down your credit card number and use them after they quit that job. hackers get to all your other bank accounts buy just one credit card number.they may know someone in the company selling the product to hack your infor where you live your income where you work and access to other credit cards just with your name and back. They say they dont but they did it to me. scammers can buy anything they want and get away with it. thats why they are called scam artist. You can call the better bussiness bureau in the county and state that that acai pure is located and file a claim against them. You can keep calling them until they get enough threats about acai pure.you can send all these e-mails to the oprah show and keep sending it until you get back a response. you will have to cancel your bank account, which is a good idea in the first place. As you wouldnt want someone working for the company to have any access to any of your info. anyone working for the company can get your credit card number keep it and charge anything online using your accont and pin befreo you even have time to cancel your card. nothing is ever safe online. you cant trust anyone nowdays and identity theft is very hard to prosecute. why take the chance to loose all your money over a pill. i always remember some people are so desperate they will do anything for a buck . that is the society in which we live. buy it from the health food store, its safe.

  • deb

unfortunately this is a scam.you can buy the same thing at the health food store. use acai trim only 9.99 at walmart is the same standard ingredients. many people get ripped online as my self and i am in criminal justice field. this goes for the same as anything you buy online. its true what kelsey said, any one at any company can take your credit card and use it later for their personal use. never let your credit card out of yoru site such as convenient stores or restaurants where the employee take the card out of your site. never let them disappear even for a moment. they are probably going to try and use it. to dispute the card is often a long and often take weeks. you should never let any employeee swipe your card. if that s the way they do bussiness then pay cash or dont do bussiness with them. everyone that has posted comments should e-mail the oprah show.

  • sue

This is a scam and they just take your money.
I am taking this to my Lawyer.

  • Dawn k

Same same, Thanks for the advise received second lot of product with no return info so i have no idea how to send it back, am takin all your advise and cancelling my card.. Cheers :-)

  • Ashley

So, i ordered the “free trial” turns up it is a scam, i called four different numbers to cancel subscriptions i hadnt even heard of… however, if you are interested in the pills, dont bother with the free trial, just order the pills themselves and they wont put you on the auto-enrollment list… hope that helps

  • Michelle

I purchased acacia berry blast and the colon clanser 2 days apart for 5.95 each. I was charged 8.06 on the day then after i had checked i was again charged 27.05 then 0.26 then 0.07 credit card charge apparently. I paid this on the 18th may and received my product on the 25th may so that was quick ,then on the 26th of may they took 102.63 twice on my pay day. so all up i was charged 253.23 what the hell. Westpac is a great bank and have held my dispute and are refunding me on the warning i never use my credit card for out of australia companies. i have only started to take them so i have no news on how they work but for each bottle working out to have cost me 126.61 is horrid, that is about 4.22 per tablet. I will go to a current affair 60 minutes facebook bebo twitter and give these rip off artists all the publicity they want. If you do buy it make sure you cancel your card as soon as you purchase.

  • luke

well I just orderd AciBurn thank god I read all this I cancelled the other two adjoned offers by phone and the monthly auto charges and shipment by online chat, think that I will cancel my card also just to be on the safe side. PLEASE do not buy this its a total scam !

  • JUlie

    Thanks Everyone,
now i know not to buy and get ripped off…..

  • Becky

You can buy two bottle of Acai Slim, 60 pills each at Sam’s Club for $14.99, if you want to try it, it has done wonders for my energy level and I have lost a few pounds along the way. Yes, I work for a major credit card company in customer service and there is not one single day that goes by I don’t get at least one call usually way more than one, that yet someone else has been scammed by these automatic withdrawls and shipments, you need to read the fine print or if you want to try it, simply go to Sam’s and pick up a couple of bottles, it’s only $14.99, if it works for you as it seems to be with me great, if not then you don’t have to buy anymore. In this economy buyers need to even more aware of scams. As I said I get calls from these people every day and it’s just getting worse.

  • ted

My wife order the free trial acai, and talked to the acai operator on the phone and he stated that all she will be billed for is $4.99 .Two days later she checked her credit card account and behold they had charged $87.55 to her account and she hadn’t received anything from them.So she contacted her bank and had her credit card account number changed

  • Arlene

Okay complainers, cancel your credit cards immediately and have your banks reverse the charges, plain and simple. Don’t just allow these scammers to keep stealing your money. Take action. Don’t just sit around complaining. Your bank wants to protect their interests and not be stuck with the charges. They will issue you a new account number. In the future for “free trials” try using a visa gift card with a minimal balance on it so you can take an educated risk and control your potential losses.

  • latasha

i cant even get in contact with the company not by phone nor by email so PLEASE dont get this stuff its a REAP OFF

  • Sue

Yes, I am grateful to all of you. I won’t buy on line although I have bought many other items on line and never had a problem. Just this company? but for those of you who took it and liked it – (this is an awful question but I am trying to figure out how it works) – do you go the bathroom all the time or something??? Or does it just suppress your appetite? I will go to the local GNC and see if I can find it – I don’t want to be having to run the ladies room constantly though! :)

  • Esperanza

Please if you are smart DO NOT LET THIS THIEFS still your money. They stole $177.01 from my account w/o permission and on top of that they never sent the product to me. It is a big SCAM!!I tried to get my money back and they refused to. They agreed on DOING ME A FAVOR and send me crap on the mail that i never ordered.BTW still waiting!!! I also requested not more emails from those thiefs but they keep sending crap to me.

  • Nicole

I used the UltraGreen Acai Pure Energy and I LOVE IT! I eat healthy and so walk a lot. I have used it for 1 month and see great results…on only the free sample. I am about to order the bottle. If you eat like crap (fast food) and do not exercise NO anything will work. Be smart and apply common sense!

  • Jan

has anybody got the direct phone number to the Milperra Office in NSW Australia. They are saying that they haven’t got the number but that’s where you have to send the product back to, so surely they would have it. Iam sooo cranky that they can get away with all this, surely they should have been looked into by now and the product taken off the market.

  • pat

Thank goodness I checked these comments before ordering this product. I had a gut feeling there was something wrong and now I know. Thanks everyone for saving me money and grief.

  • Cristina

I agreed to get one free sample of acai berry edge for $3.95. Few days later I received two bottles of the product and a bill for $80.00,and an authoshipment account. I imediatelly contacted my credit card company and complain, I though it was the end of the problem. I was wrong, Days later I started receiving mails were I was told if I not pay for the two bottles my information will be send to collection companies and damage my credit. I’m not complaining about the product, I understand that what works for one not necesary have to work for everyone. It did not work for me. I will never ageeded on ordering an authoshipment if the product is not somethig that works for me. What it supposed to bring some relieve, has become a nightmare

  • Cathy

    BUYER BEWARE!!

This is reality. Acai is just a scam. I was sucked into their “TRY FREE” advertisement. The next thing they do is they kept charging fees on your credit card. So DO NOT GO WITH THEM AT ALL! They scam!

And worst to worst apart from being charged on the credit card every week is the tablet does not actually work.

It is up to you guys to believe me or not.

    Good Luck.

  • sharyn

i ordered acai berry and they were never to be seen then they had a cheek to go back into my account for more money this is just a rip of all i wanted was the free trial and they never even sent that so i hope someone learns from reading this

  • smarty

i am discussed by all of these reviews these people should be put in jail.

  • Sheena

Worked Great! I lost 27 pounds in 3 months!! I had been working out all the time and still couldn’t loose weight, but once I started taking Acai I started loosing it! It’s spendy but soooo worth it! And Im sure my husband would say the same too!!! A+ in my book!

  • Tan

Just cancelled by using Acaiburn’s free chat service. Don’t know how much I’ve been charged yet, used my husband’s credit card so I could be very unpopular. We’re in Australia so I’d hate to think what we’ve been charged for postage. I actually had second thoughts while subscribing but there was no way to go back in the steps.

Was dreading being on hold to a US operator for an unknown period of time, so using their chat service and getting a cancellation number was a bit of a relief. I’ve apparently only been charged $59.95 according to her, will wait and see.

  • coco

    guys, be very careful!!
I cancelled the order within the 14 day trial period and have been charged ever since!! I sent the package back, called them and actually talked to them on the phone to cancel but on my credit card statements i am still being charged!! so guys, check your statements carefully, they even change the name!! just because you cancel on the phone doesnt mean they don’t charge you anymore!!
THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!! Unfortunately i was stupid enough to order it…
well, i guess i learnt my lesson, changing my credit card details now!
    WHAT A PAIN!!

  • lea

caution folks – both the colon clease and acia pills are such a rip off they say just shipping handling – not true don’t do it they will get you for full price and major pain in the a to return

  • jessica

i lost 78lbs if u keep to it u will loose it – (the weight that is) i personally think it is a good product everyones body is not the same so it will have different effects so you just have to try it and c im not saying to buy it off the internet. u can get it from any health food store.

  • Mou

Acai berry worked fine till first 3 months but not effective after that.

Little bit depressed, thought atlast got a product which can make me slim but not working any more.

  • Susan

WOW!!!! I am so glad i ran into this page(BY TOTAL MISTAKE) I actually sat down credit card in hand to place my order 4 the “Free trial offer” after running across the story about a lady named Dana from Edwardsville IL who it “worked great for” at work! my plan was 2 come home place the order & hopefully shed some pounds with something that might work this time!!
when i sat down to order i couldn’t find where i had wrote the particular webb address down @ and low in behold stumbled across this page! THX!

  • joyce

all i want is to STOP taking charges on my credit card.they charge me $5.96,$72.25,$11.69,and $69.01 in just a month.and i got only a 1 bottle of 30days free trial. What a big SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!

  • sonya

please listen to me. i was going to purchase acai online and my husband asked me not to cause it could be a scam and then they would have our cc info. so i listened to him and boy am i glad. i went to walmart the next day and got 2 bottles of acai for $12.00. went to health food store and got colon clenz for $13.00 so i only spent $25.00 in all for 3 bottles! money saver! the spring valley natural wild harvested acai (antioxidant support) is a really good product for just all over well being! it protcts ur body agais free radicals so u become a more health and energized being. if u do decide u want to order anything online please try to find it in stores first cause most online purchases are scams!!!!!!!!

  • MICHELLE-GREEN BAY WISCONSIN

I too was scammed I work full time third shift at a fast paced line job plus support four kids by myself without child support.I just wanted to lose baby pounds I ordered three different “free trials” and they charged me $347.21 on my debit card and overdrew my account! now Im left with a big mess at the bank and now Im broke!DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • H

i live in the uk and u can buy acai in Holland and Barrett a top vitamin and supplements retailer! i don’t know why you all think giving your card details to some complete stranger on the phone is ok!! you wouldn’t give your card to a random passer by on the street with your pin number so just because they are on the phone and from “a company” i din’t see what the difference is!

  • Depressed

I have been trying to lose 40 pounds for over 3 years. I have also ordered the Acai product. The next day I had $82.00 charged to my account. I called the customer service people and asked why they charged my account for $82.00. I was only supposed to pay shipping cost of 3.95. They told me that my card wasn’t charged , that The $82.00 were on hold, and that they where checking to see if the card was valid. I cancelled my order right away, he asked why and I told him that most companies charge a dollar to make sure that the card is valid. I told him that this was bullshit and that I wanted my money back into my account in 2 buisness days and if they didn’t then they will be speaking to my lawyer. I did get the money back in my account, but then I started to recieve emails that my shippment has been sent. This was about 4 days after I had cancelled. I had to call back again and tell them that I had cancelled and he told me that it was. I asked then why did I get an email stating that the product was being shipped. He said that my order was cancelled and that he doesnt see any shippment being sent, not to worry about the email. this was on May 14. Today is june 14 and my card was charged $87.00 for a shippment that i had cancelled. I called again and was told that a shippment was sent out to me and that i should get my money back in about 15 days. I called the UPS people and they said that a shippment was sent to me and signed for by ME!!! I never got any shippment!!! Plus whoever signed it didnt even spell my name right. That is the scary part. So I had to call again to the customer service to explain that I never recieved the package. What is crazy is that I keep talking to the same person. Peter is his name. He answers everytime I call. I am still waiting for my money and talking to my lawyer. I will be contacting the BBB….Thanks for listening.

  • Anonymous

I too was scammed! Charged $80 for nothing. OH, by the way the product does not work…you do not have pounds just coming off so don’t even bother getting it anywhere else. I too am very disappointed in Oprah. Someone should sue this company, this is fraud! I also have one other charge that I am looking in to on my debit card…I am becoming very leery of online purchases.

  • Anon

I was going to order this product. I can’t believe i nearly fell for it. The comments above saying it is “the best product ever” are clearly written by the people working for them. Especially how they keep putting ACAI PURE in capital letters, advitsing or what? Or am i being too scepticle.

  • Anita

There is no info on this bottle or bag.. I need to cancel…CAN anyone help me with a number?

  • edna

I have been trying to cancel this but they will not answer their phone and will not let me send this back.

Let me know what to do.

  • Sharon L.

I too was scammed! Never received the product, but they sure helped themselves to my money. When I called to find out when the order was due to arrive I was informed that I had already received it and was also charged an additional $79.99 to boot! Upon trying to explain that it never arrived, was then told that it did not matter and that my account was now cancelled. Before I could get a single word in the “gentleman” hung up on me. Tell me, does ACAI really stand for All Consumers Are Idiots?

  • Sarah

Just had 74 pound taken out of my account e-mailed company but had no reply. How do I get them to stop taking money out of my accout and get a refund?

  • Mia

I always view the website to see what comments are posted before ordering any product. I also went to GNC today and they have all the lines of acai for less than 20.00 dollars. I hate to hear people being ripped off.

  • Michelle / Lesley

Hi All, We were among the throng of people who were sucked in by Acai Burn to receive our FREE trial. No such thing as Free. We received our tablets only to be charged with the freight and then for the tablets as well, further to this we were charged each month with extra fees. Upon investigation we found the only way to stop this was to cancel our credit cards and place a Charge Back with the Bank. So far this has been successfull as all monies have been refunded. Hoping this helps some of you to get out of this farse.

  • Rachel

Yep, I was scammed too back in November I received the product 2 days before the free trial period ended. They waited over a week to mail it to me. I called to get a return confirmation number because I no longer wanted the product after I waited almost 2 weeks to get it and they refused to give me a number (they will not return it at there office if it doesn’t have a return confirmation number). They told me to keep the product and that they would cancel my order so I won’t receive anymore of the acai product from them. LIES!!!! They charged my card 3 days later when the trial period had ended. I tried to call back and couldn’t get through to talk to anyone. I then called my bank for fraud and told them the situation and they told me that they have at least 50 people a day call and complain about it. I cancelled my debit card and had them issue me a new one so I wouldn’t be charged anymore. My bank sent me a form to fill out for the fraud claim and they deposited the money back into my account while they investigated it. So anyone that has had this happen to you just call your credit card company or bank (if using debit card) and they will fix the problem. Also, you need to have them cancel your card that you used and have them reissue you a new one because you will keep getting charged from the acai company. Hope this info helps.

THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT A HUGE RIP-OFF SCAM OR WHATEVER YOU CHOSE TO CALL IT! WHERE THEY GET YOU IS ON THE SHIPPING/PACKING SLIP!!! IF YOU RETURN THE PRODUCT WITHIN THE 14 DAY “FREE” TRIAL YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED!? YEAH RIGHT! LOST NO WEIGHT IN 10 DAYS, HYPER, JUMPER, AND UPSET STOMACH BUT WAIT I STILL GOT CHARGED FOR THE SHIPMENT! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS SCAM! I ALSO CALLED THE CREDIT CARD PEOPLE WHO ARE INVESTIGATING AND PUT A HOLD ON THE TRANSACTION – GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE WHO THINKS THEY CAN LOSE WEIGHT ON THIS IN TEN DAYS/OR TIL YOUR TRIAL PERIOD IS OVER, OOPS TOO LATE YOUR CARD HAS BEEN CHARGED

I signed up for the acai berry tabs and cleanser. The company was supposed to be in the US with a branch here in Australia. The products arrived a week or so after I ordered but yet had a chinese shipping address on the con note. They were supposed to charge me 5.95 for both products but charged me 79.95 USD twice, totalling 205.78 AUD. I emailed numerous times and was each time answered by different reps asking the same repetitive information what is your account number, how much were you charged etc. Credit card company said they could not help because it was a direct debit. They said if I change my card number the charges will only be transferred to the new card!! And the complaint will take up to 90 days to be filed with the credit card company etc etc. I dont deserve to be scammed. I want to find that company and track them down to their office location.

What can I add that hasn’t been stated This company is a FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! I canceled my card but had to absorb an $87.13 charge on my credit card as an expensive monument to my stupidity. Someone should go to prison not to mention the hucksters that promoted the product on television – Oprah Winfrey and Rachel Ray.

  • footpump

I too signed up for the free trial of AcaiPure and Colon Cleanse. The items were with me the next day! I checked with my bank who confirmed just the delivery costs had gone through but that an additiional £2 ‘test’ had been done. The bank recalled the funds. As the items actually appeared to be working, I went to another company for another free trial of acai – with free delivery. I then spoke to the bank, have cancelled my card no. and am waiting for a new card to come through. I’ll do the right thing by cancelling before the end of the trial period but it either company try to get any funds it’ll just bounce them :)

Anyone believing they have been the victim of credit card abuse should contact their bank. Your cards are generally insured against fraud and the bank can recall the funds. Also, the bank has a duty to investigate the source and if enough complaints are made then the companies will be dealt with via criminal procedings and will be unable to trade electronically.

    I know it’s not much but it’s a start.

p.s. this takes me back to the ‘hoodia’ phenomenom where free trials were rife and efficacy of certain products were brought into question…. as was credit card cons. Wasn’t Oprah involved back then too?

I ordered the ACAIx3 because the offer was 1.95 S&H and ended up getting charged 89.95 within two weeks and then they never even sent me my free bottle. After a month of waiting for =my free bottle i finally found the 800 number and cancelled it even though they said they couldn’t refund my money. Still waiting for the free bottle to arrive ( almost 2 months now).

  • Entertainme

Just received my credit card statement today, July 2nd. Sure enough, there was the charge of $82.31. And I received NO product, only the FREE trial bottle which I canceled within a couple of days of receipt. Called the company and sota talked to a guy who claimed to be located in New Jersey but with an accent that made communication nearly impossible. He said I needed to have returned the unused capsule to terminate the order, – “READ THE FINE PRINT”, he said. Thought he had me until I went to the web site and went through the order procedure again until I found the “terms and conditions”. Well, there it was in black and white – “You need not return the product to FWM if you cancel within the Free Trial Period.” So I have all of my “ducks lined up” BUT, they have my money. I will write to them with copies to the Consumer Protection Dept. of my state’s Attorney General Office as well as the same people in the state of Florida. Florida needs to know what is going on in their state.

  • Virginia

I too tried the free trial, same thing happened CC got charged 89.00 for the acai berry, 79.00 for the colon cleanser and the 4.99 for shipping and handling for each item…and they were mailed separately. Also, the 14 day trial period starts the day after you order…not when you actually receive the product. So don’t fall for the free trial. Called my bank got the charges reversed. Also call the company and got someone on the phone and canceled…I also told them what a rip off company they were.

  • charlotte

i paid for the 14 free week trial for acai burn because all it said i had to pay for was shipping!! 2 months later, i have charges coming out here there and everywhere, they charged me a total of $58 for 3 bottles of acai burn i didnt even ask for! i spoke to them i cancelled it and still im waiting for my money to be returned to me!! they are a rip off!!

  • J-J

wish i had found and read the comments on this site before being sucked into the scam. am not very happy with this company or the companies they have my information on to. Have foned and emailed but with no results will be changing my card as suggested by footpump & Micelle/Lesley Thanks guys for the advice.

  • Donna Gutierrez

My daughter ordered this too. She was sent the product and in a few days received more, her account was over charged again and again. It is a scam. Everyone should write to the Better Business Burea or the attorney general in your state so a lawsuit can be filed against this internet scam.

  • Ann

I heard about acai from a friend. I started researching on interenet. I looked up the ingredients listed in acai burn. All products should b able to b purchased individually at Walmart or GNC. However the hidden secret is the ingredients NOT listed. Probably an excessive amount of caffeine. This would b very stressful on the heart. I had read all of the fine print and was aware of charges that would apply after 14 days so I looked at other sites for availability. I am grateful for reviews and comments. It is nice to know other people are battling their weight and looking for an answer. It isn’t easy to scoot back from the table. Sometimes it is nice to get a jump start. Have you tried adipex? It really works but is prescription. Talk to your doctor to see if it is a good choice for you.

  • M

The phone number to contact them is 1800 335 305

  • Paula

I opted for the free trial of this product along with the Colon clear product they do. It wasnt until my card details had gone through that i foung they had tken $4.95 AND $19.99 from my current acount via my card.

I immediately sent them an email cancelling and surprise surprise they ignored it and sent me an email saying my ‘free trial’ (yeah right) was being shipped. i have sent them 4 emails in total and only get a email back which is a copy of the terms and conditions which they dont want you to see in the first place. Strange how you get to see these terms and conditions when they have your card details!

I have had to close my current account so that they cannot take any more money from me. Shame on Oprah for endorsing this scam, im fuming.

If they want to try and get money out of me – bring it on but they will have to contact me by mail as the account has been closed down – good luck to them because im not taking receipt of any orders or making any payments!!!! Stay well away from this company

  • ulupong

YOU GUYS ARE STUPID!!! you don’t read the TERMS AND CONDITION THAT’S WHY YOU GET BILLED. BE WISE.. IT AIN’T A SCAM.. YOU JUST MISUNDERSTAND.

  • Worried

I just ordered the AcaiPure and ColonCleanse yesterday online. After reading all the negative comments I definitely regret giving this company my information. Is it really a scam? If I am able to cancel within the 14 days of my “free” trial will I still be charged the extra?
    Please help!

  • Sameera

wow, i was about to buy the product… thank god i read
these posts…. well i have really good body wanted to buy it for my sister she wanted it so bad…
i think i have to get her go gym with me now lol

Beware of the Scam ads. If they say free sample and ask for credit card for shipping, do not give your credit card. On this site there are about more than 200 persons who are duped and lost money. I think, the Consumer affairs departments of county government or State Attorney Generals should intervene and throw those people in jails with a ces. Many ads come unsolicited even saying that they are doctors also resort to this free drug trial requesting Credit card numbers. Please whatever the drug nd whosoever it is, never ask for free drug samples which require credit card numbers.

  • Seshu

These scammers do not answer telephones and they also do not receive your messages or on their website. It is a gimmick and false promise to say that you could cancel within 14 days. They let the time pass and you are stuck with the credit card billing for a long long time.

  • POed

I ordered AcaiPure for the 14-day free trial. 14 day my fanny. After 10 days, I was charged $59.95 plus $1.20. I was told that I would get a refund when I called and cancelled. That was back in Aug. and I still haven’t gotten a refund. How is it that these stupid f*c*ers are not being sued?

I just ordered the free trial after hearing the testimony from the newscaster who tried it. now I feel so stupid because I didnt read the terms and conditions. Just another telemarketer trying to take money from people. But sooner or later they will be shut down by the feds. Arizona already has a lawsuit and won.

OH!!! sorry and another lovely little bit for my message above! I highly sudject that you cancel your credit card or bank card if you have already purchased these stupid pills…before the 10 day trial is up becuase even when you call to cancel the order because you were not satisfied they take over 4-6 weeks to process your cancellation and refund!

  • Jason Carpenter

Wow…just like grandpa said, “there’s a sucker born every minute.” Free trials? Are you kidding me? If a free trial asks for your credit card number I would imagine anyone with any sense would realize it’s a scam. Do a little research and be a smart consumer. If anyone out there wants to look at legitimate companies check out Sambazon and aProvenProduct. I haven’t ordered either, but they don’t offer trials, mixtures, extracts, or other b/s. You pay for the product and you get what you pay for. There’s still no telling what the results of using it will be for you.

    Acai Ripoff!!

I had the same experience here in the States. I returned the product after acquiring a RMA
number. i called and was told to expect a refund within a few weeks. I was then charged the next month for a shipment i did not receive. i called again and was told to wait for the
refund to appear on my bank statement. i waited 2 statement cycles and then called again
for an explanation. I was told this time that my return had been 2 days past the 30 day
return cutoff and there would be no $59.95 refund. What a ripoff!! I am still pursuing the
second charge (yeah, good luck on that).
This Acai scheme is a pure ripoff!!

  • Brendon Nevin

I believe that there are many scams out there on the net but there are a few that actually give away the product and if you do cancell within the specified time frame you will only be charged the minimal rate of PP&H. I ordered from a website that offered free trials and included the months supply that you could keep if you cancelled. I was surprised when just a few days later the two products showed up here in New Zealand (postmarked from the UK). I am still a little sceptical about weather they work but in the two weeks since the two products arriving I have lost a little over two kg. I’m using them in conjunction with the old favorites of healthy eating and exercise.

    MY HONEST ADVICE:

    Dear Brendon Nevin,

Thank you for ordering Official Cleanse today.

It can take up to one working week for an order to be processed and delivered to you (for some areas and in exceptional cases it might take up to 10 working days). You will be notified separately about the shipment of your product.

  • Its_a_SCAM

This is nothing but a SCAM using legal methods to
rip people off and take as much of their money as they can get their grubby scammy hands on!
First: They count on the customer NOT reading the terms of aggreement AND not following the terms of return down to the exact letter.. i.e.
check out HOW many days you have before you have to return the product/s.
Second: You MUST return the product/s using a confirmation that requires a signature, WHY? because they will use this for a loop hole to say they never received it back! In addition, you need to document all conversations, Emails, dates, ref#’s and KEEP your Postal receipt FOREVER, because they will hit you months after the fact, banking on the possibility that you no longer have proof of the return (though THEY KNOW you did!)
Lastly, their collections department will tell you that if you don’t pay your bill then they will sell your account to a third party collections agency where it will incure additional late fees!!
So they get $$$ regardless of the outcome!
THESE PEOPLE ARE EVIL! DO NOT GO NEAR THEM! READ ALL TERMS OF AGREEMENTS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brenda

I just got fleeced by the Acai Berry Pure people. They charging my credit card 99 cents for shipping my “free introductory bottle.” When the package arrived I read the ingredients in The Acai “Pure” and saw that it is loaded with caffeine – so it was something I would never use. About a week after I received it they sent me an email saying they were subscribing me to Full Premium Membership for $169.95. I immediately emailed them back telling them I didn’t want any more products from them and to cancel my order. I received an automated support ticket, but nothing else. They charged my credit card any way, and when I called their customer service number, they refused to return my money. I had to file a claim with my credit card company, and canceled the credit card to make sure they didn’t rack up any more unauthorized charges.
